[PF Log] Searching Tarn's Territory & Finding Ambulon's Body
WHO: Kaon + Members of the PF Force who responded to this & McCrane
WHERE: Nexus' Quadrant & Tarn's house
WHEN: Backdated to July 30th
WHAT: A) Searching for Ambulon's Body and B) rifling around in Tarn's House
WARNINGS: Some robogore when they find Ambu's corpse!
With both teams assembled and set in motion, the first hour of each mission began in haste.
In Nexus's Quadrant it began with an aerial sweep, with Prowl waiting for any pings that their Seeker scout had found visual cues matching up to the video's description. The others were spread out on the ground, covering different sectors of the quadrant to maximize their coverage.
Contact was kept frequently in between each other. They didn't have much time to spare. As the hour began to draw to a close, Thundercracker might find some luck in spotting what remained of the gruesome scene: Ambulon was dead, and there wasn't much left of the body to recover. His head and a significant part of his body was missing - it looks like someone had come to do more damage to the doctor after he slowly bled out of his head and died. One might surmise that the parts may even have been eaten.
The scene around him was mostly intact, chair and spikes and all. Quite a decorative show of a crime scene.
It's unfortunate they were too late.
---
The raid of Tarn's territory in Prima's quadrant would be a stealth run. And good thing too, since their numbers aren't particularly strong at the moment. Fortunately for them, the Decepticon's neighborhood appears to be largely empty. Tarn was no where to be found.
Rather odd and quiet.
Too quiet.
Unfortunately, Tarn appeared to be savvier than initially expected; the recording device they expected is no where to be found. However, come half an hour into their investigation, Kagerou appears to find something else hidden in the buildings of the neighborhood. Something unexpected: the comatose body of the Autobot archivist, Rewind. He appears to have been physically beaten, but alive. Probably next in line on the chopping block.
Worse yet, they might not be entirely alone...

Which was better than an altercation, he supposed. Better they go out with the intent to assist than to make him partake in a fight. Perceptor would never have come if it were the case.
Still... it didn't stop him from bringing the rifle. For the most part, he stayed silent, trundling along. A tank was hardly subtle, but nothing about this seemed to scream secrecy.
"I'm not seeing any signs," he reported.
Let me know if I need to change anything
The Seeker winged about high overhead, scanners at max as he searched for clues, for anything. His comm clicked on to reply, checking in that he didn't either, but then there was only faint static for an instant when he didn't actually speak right away. And when he did . . . his tone was grim. "I am." He pinged his teammates with coordinates, then circled and descended, transforming the last several meters above the ground to land smoothly on his feet. One rifle primed, arm at the ready to level it in any direction while he kept half his attention on his surroundings, he crouched to get a closer look at the body. "Someone . . . or something else has been here. There's almost as much of him missing as still here."
It's a-ok! Additionally, Chromedome's part in the find will be handwaves
"You heard him. Rendezvous at his position."
"Perceptor, when you arrive, make sure to hang back and survey the nearby area. There's a small chance his body may be acting a lure. Once it's clear, then I'll need you to help investigate the crime scene."
Trap for the DJD? Possibly. At least he was blunt about it. The Cybertronian car begins to make it's way over to Thundercracker's position, arriving within a few minutes to what was left of the doctor's body.

He would sass as he pleased. It was, in a way, a form of dealing with uncomfortable situations. Perceptor was far more at home in the lab... not dealing with potential trap situations from the Decepticon Brute Squad.
Though it did stand to reason. So he did as tasked, drawing to a stop a fair distance from the coordinates, engine idling.

Still, Prowl's caution was perfectly called for.
The Seeker took to the air, thruster heels lifting him just high enough for a better vantage and to be less vulnerable than he was on the ground, second rifle primed and ready. He nodded at Prowl as the interceptor arrived, and again at Perceptor, acknowledging the researcher's presence. Unless Prowl told him otherwise, however, he remained airborn. Perceptor might or might not have better scanners, but it didn't hurt to have two people covering their afts. That and he didn't like being on the ground when there was a potential threat in the area.

Prowl stopped at a position where he could overlook the environment, unearthing old programs and subroutines from his Pre-War days to analyze what, exactly, happened here. Particularly, why Ambulon was in barely recoverable pieces.
"Reading the room" it was called. He'd done it often enough with Chromedome back on Cybertron. Enough that his former partner didn't need to be told to take a few steps back out of his line of sight.
Prowl's observation went on for several minutes, with the white Autobot occasionally approaching the spikes Ambulon had impaled himself on, the chair, and other artifacts of the scene.
However, rather than having him chime in again with his deduction - another voice interrupts in through the radio feed:
"Blurr to Team 1. There aren't traces of the DJD but he have found Rewind. He's alive but he's not responding and his vitals aren't steady."
Prowl stops and stands up as he mentions Rewind.
"Two officers are getting him to the medbay immediately. I will let you know more as soon as he's stabilized."
"Blurr, we've found Ambulon.", he replied through their comm,"But there's not much left to bring back to Nexus. Getting Rewind stabilized should be your top priority, but I'd suggest still pushing to see if you can find the DJD's recording device if you have anyone to spare."
