OPENING LOG: Awakening

WHO: Everybody!
WHERE: The Junk Pile.
WHEN: Right here, right now.
WHAT: Game opening! Our Heroes find themselves in a strange place not of their own world, however familiar (or not) it may be.

Consciousness is slow, and a struggle to obtain. The moments before darkness are hazy enough; a great vertigo, a twisting, and then, falling. Falling for what seemed like forever. And when you are finally aware of your surroundings, it is most decidedly not where you came from.

Instead, you are now in what appears to be a wasteland. A wasteland...of junk. Debris as far as you can see, heaped in mini-mountains that offer only so good of a view of the world around you. Perhaps in the distance, you can make out some flatter land, perhaps you can just make out what looks like a crevice - but it's difficult at best. The light here is all wrong, the two greatest sources being a white line in the alien sky that doesn't so much give off light as simply have it - and something in the south that glows like a setting sun.

You may or may not notice it at first, but you, too, have something alien - something on your arm, more likely than not. A marking that glows softly, but offers no clue as to how it got there - no pain, no sensitivity. It's simply there, as you are here.

So.

Now what?

((OOC: This is it, you guys! Have a blast! Please remember to keep everything under the first thread for now; we'll be adding the Firstforged in in a little bit...

OKAY There is now a second thread to post in! Feel free to make new threads there to react to the arrival of the Firstforged, or respond directly to the Firstforged themselves.))

He could defer to Prima and let their leader handle the upstart approaching their number. He could.

Naturally, he doesn't.

“My, aren't you bold,” he responds in Japanese (thank Solus' translators for that). Appropriate, he thinks, given that the mech bears his own marking. Confronting them already caught his attention but the Glyph's presence cements his interest.

Megatronus takes a few steps closer to Gunmax, looking him over with a critical eye. He has three points in his favour so far: being mechanical in nature, being daring, and bearing the mark. Megatronus sees nothing else to displease him or to put him on his guard, and so he's willing to offer some information. He may as well see how clever this one is.

“We're not lost and neither did we bring you here, though I suspect you'll have other matters to thank us for shortly. You seek something to blame for your current predicament? Look above you.”

The biker peers up at the giant robot curiously. Most would no doubt be intimidated by the size or the implications, but Gunmax doesn't back down. If he get some information for himself and McCrane, then so be it.

"Less to blame and more to just figure out what's up. So you would, in theory, be blaming that little light above us?" Gunmax places his hands onto his hips. "Well, that's interesting. What do you know about it?"

So far, he's not been given any inclination to be turned away, and there's that nice lack of violence. Not that he's opposed, typically, but he's trying to keep this as minimal as possible. McCrane was right before; they're lacking fuel and a means for repairs.

They need to take it easy.

Megatronus folds his arms over his chest. He's not normally so accommodating to demands for information, but since this mech is potentially one of his own... He looks a bit small to give him a decent fight anyway.

The specifics of the Lambda are better explained by his more scientifically-minded kin, so Gunmax receives the bare essentials version.

“It's more than a light: it's a tear spanning time-space across multiple realities. It's the reason you're here, and it's the reason you're not likely to find a way back. You're on Cybertron now and while you're here – you ought to invest some time in learning a proper Cybertronian dialect. What's your name?”

"So you're saying it's unlikely I'll get back home because of this tear in time and space. Well, that's dandy."

The impossible meant to be broken. He's heard that before, but this sounds a lot more difficult. Still, with at least some of the Brave Police here, they'll find a way. Maybe not today, but they'll manage.

Fortunately, these big guys seem to be somewhat informative.

"So this is the great Cybertron? Doesn't seem like much to me. Name's Gunmax. How about you, big fellah?"
