OPENING LOG: Awakening
WHO: Everybody!
WHERE: The Junk Pile.
WHEN: Right here, right now.
WHAT: Game opening! Our Heroes find themselves in a strange place not of their own world, however familiar (or not) it may be.
Consciousness is slow, and a struggle to obtain. The moments before darkness are hazy enough; a great vertigo, a twisting, and then, falling. Falling for what seemed like forever. And when you are finally aware of your surroundings, it is most decidedly not where you came from.
Instead, you are now in what appears to be a wasteland. A wasteland...of junk. Debris as far as you can see, heaped in mini-mountains that offer only so good of a view of the world around you. Perhaps in the distance, you can make out some flatter land, perhaps you can just make out what looks like a crevice - but it's difficult at best. The light here is all wrong, the two greatest sources being a white line in the alien sky that doesn't so much give off light as simply have it - and something in the south that glows like a setting sun.
You may or may not notice it at first, but you, too, have something alien - something on your arm, more likely than not. A marking that glows softly, but offers no clue as to how it got there - no pain, no sensitivity. It's simply there, as you are here.
So.
Now what?
((OOC: This is it, you guys! Have a blast! Please remember to keep everything under the first thread for now; we'll be adding the Firstforged in in a little bit...
OKAY There is now a second thread to post in! Feel free to make new threads there to react to the arrival of the Firstforged, or respond directly to the Firstforged themselves.))

Something had.
However, he simply nodded. If it was important, Deckerd would bring it up in his own time, when he was comfortable with it. "Agreed. We can split our efforts, and regroup..."
It was all there was to do. Especially with the limited resources that they had available to them. Especially if none of them could fly. Still, he suspected that if Gunmax had arrived with his motorcycle, it was possible that Deckerd had arrived with J-Loader....
...but that real possibility didn't stop him from jumping, either, and pulling his shotgun out when it suddenly burst onto the scene.
"D-Deckerd!"
...
It took him a moment to lower his weapon.
It took him another moment to realize he felt more than a little awkward for doing that. Obviously, he was a little more jumpy than he'd realized. Suddenly being on an alien planet did that to a person.
"It is one more transportation option, if nothing else." He said, and put his shotgun away. "Without the boss."
no subject
"Yes, at least there's that."
Those last words ping against him, and he tries not to let it bother him. Despite being bereft, he's just got to deal with it. He can't sit around and mope forever.
They have to get a move on. Get things done. No use in crying over a bad situation and not trying to get yourself out of it, right?
"Right. We're just wasting time wandering around. We should be investigating as much as we can."
no subject
Well.
Maybe.
He smiled a little, at the thought.
"I believe the best option for investigating would be to find someone without one of these marks." He pointed to the glowing white symbol on his shoulder. "Everyone I have talked to who possesses one does not remember how they arrived. We are also going to need fuel, which..." He glanced to the nearest pile. "Is probably here. Somewhere. What are your orders?"
no subject
Oh yes. His mind is instantly on the panda incident. Being shoved in every which-way.
None of those configurations were in his databanks.
For good reason.
"Fair enough. I wonder what they are..."
They look like brands. In fact he's certain they are, but the thought unsettles him, so he doesn't voice it.
"Hmm. For now, fuel and finding any other members of the Brave Police that might have ended up here is the priority number one. Collecting intelligence comes a very close second."
His orders, huh?? He's fully aware he's the leader- but oddly enough he's so used to Yuuta voicing the actual orders. It feeds strange.
"Split up for the next two hours. Question anyone we find, keep a keen eye out for fuel or any of our own. Report to Gunmax and I if you run into trouble or anything strange. We'll do likewise. It's important that we stay in contact with each other."
no subject
However, he does snap a salute to Deckerd, agreeing with his assessment of the situation. "Understood. I will report my findings in two hours, and we can decide what to do then." Perhaps they would be in a better position to see the way home.
Anything had to be better than the one that they were currently in.
no subject
Honestly he doesn't really want to part ways. McCrane's presence is comforting, but they all have work to do.
Now is not the time, and he cant afford to falter.
So he salutes back and heads off in the opposite direction.
"See you in a while, McCrane!"
He does his best to sound like he's in good spirits.
