OPENING LOG: Awakening

WHO: Everybody!
WHERE: The Junk Pile.
WHEN: Right here, right now.
WHAT: Game opening! Our Heroes find themselves in a strange place not of their own world, however familiar (or not) it may be.

Consciousness is slow, and a struggle to obtain. The moments before darkness are hazy enough; a great vertigo, a twisting, and then, falling. Falling for what seemed like forever. And when you are finally aware of your surroundings, it is most decidedly not where you came from.

Instead, you are now in what appears to be a wasteland. A wasteland...of junk. Debris as far as you can see, heaped in mini-mountains that offer only so good of a view of the world around you. Perhaps in the distance, you can make out some flatter land, perhaps you can just make out what looks like a crevice - but it's difficult at best. The light here is all wrong, the two greatest sources being a white line in the alien sky that doesn't so much give off light as simply have it - and something in the south that glows like a setting sun.

You may or may not notice it at first, but you, too, have something alien - something on your arm, more likely than not. A marking that glows softly, but offers no clue as to how it got there - no pain, no sensitivity. It's simply there, as you are here.

So.

Now what?

((OOC: This is it, you guys! Have a blast! Please remember to keep everything under the first thread for now; we'll be adding the Firstforged in in a little bit...

OKAY There is now a second thread to post in! Feel free to make new threads there to react to the arrival of the Firstforged, or respond directly to the Firstforged themselves.))

A clever femme. This one was one of her marked for a reason, it seemed.

"There are indeed. There is a untold number of universes in existence, each parallel and varied from the next. The differences may be only minor, with small events throughout history...or the worlds themselves may differ entirely."

It may not be exactly the way you were thinking, Elita, but yes. The second question makes her smile dryly.

"Your mark happens to be my own."

That... made sense. She thought, anyway. Actually... well, she was no scientist, so she had no idea what those infinite variations could mean, but it would make sense, really, that something like Primus could stretch over multiple realities, if there were more than one.

She'd accept that. However, she couldn't help but ask...

"... Does 'will properly be' Cybertron mean it isn't yet the body of our creator?" She wasn't sure if that was even... logical. As far as she knew, Primus has always been Cybertron, but maybe that was one of those "variations" mentioned.

Her optics flickered at the information that she'd... somehow... come upon the individual whose mark she apparently bore first. Coincidence? She wasn't sure it was.

Either way, she didn't think she minded, despite this being the first time she bore anyone's insignia. However...

"I'm sorry to say I have no idea who you are, though." Maybe she should know, but while she could see they shared the same frame-type, disregarding altmode, the femme was wholly unfamiliar to her.

Elita didn't bother to ask abot how they could return; it seemed quite obvious that if these seven had no control over what was brought in, they probably didn't have any control yet of what left.

Solus actually reset her optics in mild surprise, pleased. Not many caught on to that little detail so quickly, with so little prompting.

"Good observation. No, it isn't. Not yet. For that is one of the many things we currently prepare for." And, perhaps, maybe, why they continued to receive outside help, from times and worlds where Primus already lay concealed and safe within the core of their world.

"As for myself..."

Her ignorance regarding her name was not surprising, at least. Most arrivals from Cybertrons knew of Vector, or Trion, or Megatronus. Her brothers were known for what they did.

She, to mixed aggravation and pride both, was known for what she made. Even if the name of the maker was lost to time.

"I am Solus Prime, and ask the same of you in return."

Details mattered, and merely having it concretely confirmed that there was more than one reality, more than one Cybertron as the Earth-made mechanoid had suggested implied variation in how and where Primus were.

Not that she still could understand how, but... But either way, a Cybertron which wasn't properly Cybertron could, while perhaos meaning quite a few things, to Elita the most obvious thing was a lack of the presence of Primus within.

"One of many?" What else could there be need to prepare for? Wouldn't everything else come by itself, with Primus there to nudge things, either directly or through agents... Agents like the tall femme before her?

The realization came just as Solus introduced herself, and as such, the "Prime" part, while surprising, didn't necessarily seem out of place.

"It's an honour," Elita said with a dip of her helm and then straightened. "Elita One."

"Well met, Elita One. And yes, one of many."

Solus gestured out toward the planet itself, beyond the junk pile.

"We have an entire world to shape, culture to build, and resting place for our Creator to prepare. Even for us, these things take planning and time. And with the Lambda sending us- guests from other worlds to care for as well..."

She shrugged.

"You are here for a reason. Even if it is not yet known. But I will try to answer your questions."

Folding her arms over her chestplates as she listened, she drummed her fingers against an upper arm while she thought, frowning slightly. The interdimensional tear... Lambda clearly brought them in, and whether it was with meaning or not, they'd obviously been given some sort of meaning... Or co-opted into it, after landing here, as the glyphs on her upper arm could attest.

"... And we can help? Is that why we're marked, even if this... lambda brings us in without any control from you and whether or not you'd necessarily have used that help if that thing didn't exist?"

Tilting her helm up at Solus, Elita frowned.

"I don't think I have many other questions for the moment. I assume getting home isn't possible... yet? And will there be any place to stay, if we can't leave immediately?" She would assume that energon wasn't a problem, otherwise the Prime would probably have expressed more annoyance or frustration at having to share a rare resource.

"So it seems you can."

Solus simply shrugged. She wasn't one to question the seemingly strange ways of their Creator. If he wanted to send them examples of life from across time and the multiverse, clearly he wanted their input to effect their new world.

"As of yet, no. There is no known way for you to return. However, those of you whom are marked are welcome within the temples of your patrons. As you are one of mine, you are welcome to reside within my own, and you will find fuel and shelter there." She smiled faintly, pulling out a small comm device and offering it to Elita.

"We have a network set up for communication. You can use this to communicate, or download the program contained within to modify your own systems for use without it. The choice is yours."

It's a strange thought, that any of them - that she - might be able to do something to help this Cybertron along on its path towards the future. It's... Shaking her helm, Elita puts that thought away. Like a few other things, it's hard to decide hos she feels about that.

She nods, slightly grimly, at the confirmation that there's no way to return yet; she'd suspected as much.

"Ah... thank you," Elita said with a nod, both for the offer and the comm device. She took it, and after only a moment of thought, weighing the possible pros and cons, she simply linked to it and downloaded the program. She already had a perfectly capable comm system on her own, so why complicate things.

And if the program was harmful in any way... Well, she was sure if the Prime wished her harm, there were other ways she could more easily do so.

"I had wondered, so I'm... relieved, there's somewhere safe to stay already. Where is it from here, if I still want to look around?" She wanted to get her bearings, especially around the area she'd, apparently, be staying for the forseeable future. She was, however, also still hoping to find anyone from the Graviton.

It seemed less likely as time went by, but she'd not give up so easily. Maybe she'd even ask over the available network and continue to keep an optic out on it if she didn't get any hit immediately.

Once the program is installed - and it does so with unusually swift effectiveness - Solus simply pings Elita's upgraded comm system with the coordinates. Almost directly West of their current location. Another ping, located closer, follows.

"As one of my Marked, you are welcome to come and go as you like. You can travel over land, or through the tunnels that start at the second location. They tunnels are swifter, and safer than traveling above. And do mind the signs."

Or you could get lost for ages.

Noting the location of both those pings to her current position, Elita frowned internally at the distances involved. Not that she wasn't used to it, but with a lack of transport...

"All right. Thank you," Elita said, first looking up at Solus and then dipping her helm in something between a nod and a polite near-bow. "I think I want to look around more first before... But thank you for speaking to me." What she actually wnated to do, beside getting a good idea of at least part of the junk pile and the area around the Prime's temple, was trying to find Grim.

Or Magnus... or the others. Anyone. But her own normal comm. line frequencies were still quiet, and the few things on this network revealed nothing and nobody that she directly wanted.

With a final nod to the Firstforged, Elita wandered determindedly off, working vaguely towards Solus' temple, if more southwards.
