OPENING LOG: Awakening
WHO: Everybody!
WHERE: The Junk Pile.
WHEN: Right here, right now.
WHAT: Game opening! Our Heroes find themselves in a strange place not of their own world, however familiar (or not) it may be.
Consciousness is slow, and a struggle to obtain. The moments before darkness are hazy enough; a great vertigo, a twisting, and then, falling. Falling for what seemed like forever. And when you are finally aware of your surroundings, it is most decidedly not where you came from.
Instead, you are now in what appears to be a wasteland. A wasteland...of junk. Debris as far as you can see, heaped in mini-mountains that offer only so good of a view of the world around you. Perhaps in the distance, you can make out some flatter land, perhaps you can just make out what looks like a crevice - but it's difficult at best. The light here is all wrong, the two greatest sources being a white line in the alien sky that doesn't so much give off light as simply have it - and something in the south that glows like a setting sun.
You may or may not notice it at first, but you, too, have something alien - something on your arm, more likely than not. A marking that glows softly, but offers no clue as to how it got there - no pain, no sensitivity. It's simply there, as you are here.
So.
Now what?
((OOC: This is it, you guys! Have a blast! Please remember to keep everything under the first thread for now; we'll be adding the Firstforged in in a little bit...
OKAY There is now a second thread to post in! Feel free to make new threads there to react to the arrival of the Firstforged, or respond directly to the Firstforged themselves.))

So the arm pat is fine.
"I haven't seen Boss. I'm sure he's fine." Because if Gunmax doesn't believe that, he'll worry out of his mind. "I found McCrane, but he's the only other one I've come across. Otherwise, I've seen a lot of robots here. It's... been odd."
Gunmax frowns behind his visor. He isn't sure what else to say about Yuuta, but he knows they won't stop looking for him. If he isn't with Deckerd, that could be trouble. It'd just... be bad to say that out loud.
no subject
"I hope you're right," He heaves a sigh at the news of McCrane being there as well. Maybe the whole team is? He can only hope They're stronger when they're together.
"I know what you mean. I met another bot. He was like a BP model but there some something strange about him. He spoke English, so he was difficult to understand. Do you think you can translate in those cases for us? I wish Mister Toudou had given me more than the absolute basics..."
no subject
But it speaks volumes about Deckerd's fears for Yuuta.
"I can translate it just fine," Gunmax scoffs a bit egotistically. "Spoke to a few people in English. Worked out okay."
Yet ironically, he feels more comfortable in Japanese where conversations are concerned.
"C'mon, we can hop on Gunbike and see if he can find Boss, all right? Maybe the others."
no subject
Then again...
There's a brief image that passes through his head of greeting someone like Gunmax...
Rove you, baby!
Deckerd winces. Whatever. He'd deal with it.
"Sounds like a plan to me. Did you happen to find out from anyone you spoke to where we are? It seems like most everyone is in the same conundrum."
no subject
He'll admit, he even misses their Knight right now. Not that he dislikes him, but sometimes he's a bit much. Right now, though, it'd be nice to have an additional familiar face.
"No one has any idea where we are." Gunmax shrugs. "But here's what McCrane and I put together. We all have these strange markings on our arms. I don't know how much variety there is, but... looks like you have the exact same one as McCrane's." Which leads to some questions -- the purpose of the marks, and why is his different from his teammates? "So there's that. This is also obviously really alien, wherever we are."
no subject
He stands, arms crossed as he listens, committing it to memory. Good to have some information.
"I spoke to someone earlier. His name was... ah. Rashieto? He said that we might be some place called Saibaturon. His home planet. There are other robots here, but they seem to hail from that planet."
Listening to Deckerd butcher English... well. Who can blame him?
He turns his attention to the marking.
"Hmm, yours is different. I wonder what it means. Always a rebel, aren't you?"
He tries his best to give a wry smile, but it comes out a bit sad.
no subject
It's kind of funny listening to Deckerd try to pronounce the English words.
As if Gunmax is much betterThey'll have to work on that. The biker snorts at the comment towards the mark on his arm. "McCrane said something similar." He lifts his chin up a bit. "Well, what can I say -- black looks cooler."
At the smile, Gunmax gives a pause before he puts his hand to Deckerd's shoulder. "C'mon, let's go look for the others for awhile."
no subject
He's just going to treat this like another case. That's how he can cope with it at all right now.
"Okay."
He follows Gunmax back, mounting Gunbike behind him (isn't this familiar?)
He'd have gone in patrol car mode, but the bike is much more maneuverable amongst the scrap and junk than a four-wheel vehicle like himself.
no subject
Briefly, he waits for the patrol car to board Gunbike behind him. This is getting pretty familiar; first McCrane, then Noisy Boy, now Deckerd.
He starts up the motorcycle before taking off down the junk piles.
"Just keep yourself aware while we look. We'll find him."
Otherwise, he isn't sure how Deckerd is even going to function, to be perfectly honest.
no subject
He's not entirely confident in that, but perhaps saying it will make it so. Doing is half believing you can do, right?
"Of course."
Oh he's already got that covered. As they speed over the junk piles, he keeps himself entirely occupied with scanning the "landscape" for his boy.
Time will tell.
