A formal dance.

WHO: Everyone!
WHERE: The Atrium, Haven's Hub.
WHEN: Today! The dance will go on from the late afternoon until the early hours of the morning.
WHAT: Have your top hat and cane? This is a formal ball. The origination is a drunken Vandal and battle-worn Saber.
WARNINGS: Could be anything from bar fights to drunken swearing to people tripping over their own feet or people making out in a corner.

Welcome to the dance!      The Atrium will have its doors open in the late evening. For the first two hours, Vandal and Drift will be acting as receptionist and bouncer. After that, the doors close. At the reception desk, you will be required to sign your name and also hand over any weapons that you are carrying. (Within the building there is an inhibitor placed. No one will be able to use any weaponry on their person.)      The Atrium is decorated in royal purple and black, with accents of white and pearl. The decorations are standard fair for a ball. There's hanging draperies, table clothes, and colored lighting. Towards the outside of the circular Atrium, everyone will be under a glowing white light. Towards the middle of the dance floor, there is a much softer lavender that illuminates the immediate area.      Vandal and Saber organized and planned, and then helped with decorations. They will also be over seeing the event throughout the entire night. Vandal will be handling the reception desk and registration. We have Frenzy as our DJ in the Atrium, and Miko will be playing electric guitar for those who decide to visit the bar. Saber, Ironhide, and McCrane will be acting as security. They would be the best to contact should you have any.. safety concerns. Our bouncer, Drift, will be "on call" for security once his primary assignment is done. Kay organized and lead the decorating, and Ravage and McCrane helped with placing them. Melan and Joe gathered needed materials. Skidaddle is the one to blame for having the supply of available hats at the doors for any Cybertronian who tries to get past the one piece of attire rule.      Feel free to post in any sub-forum area you think your character would be present in (with or without an opening post), or merely tag others. Prose or action-spam is okay (and you may want to include this in your initial posts if you want others to tag you). Bonus: include links to garments your character may be wearing. Smokescreen sways once more with this nudge, optics flickering curiously.

"Thank me for what?" he asked, looking confused because he really doesn't know what Bulkhead's referring to, offhand, but whatever it is must be good so he'll definitely take the credit for it.

He's silent for a moment as he considers how to say this. His expression turning serious.

"Back when Jackie was handcuffed ta Magnus. I know you were just jokin' around at the time, but...ya helped remind me how I still felt about Jackie." He's watching for a reaction. "Between you, Blurr and others encouragin' me, I finally told Jackie how I felt a week ago."

"Oh? Well? What'd he say huh?" Smokescreen asked as he perked up a bit, turning some to tug on the larger bot's arm slightly. "He wasn't an aft was he? Because I'll totally kick his aft if you want me to."

Bulkhead laughs at that last bit and the tugging on his arm.

"I'll keep you in mind if it doesn't work out." He sobers up some, but he's still clearly happy though. "Nah, he wasn't an aft. More like surprised I was interested in him. But we did a lot of talkin', and we're givin' it a shot. See how it goes."

They still have some issues, but what relationship doesn't.

Smokescreen grins warmly, pleased with the response.

"Good. I'm happy for you guys and I hope it works out. I mean it," he said cheerfully, wings giving a content little twitch.

The other deserves happiness after everything they've all been through.

Bulkhead's own smile turns warm at that.

"Thanks. Sorry we didn't say nothin' sooner, been kinda keepin' it on the down low." For probably awkward reasons. "Miko knew though."

It was kind of hard to keep it from the girl, since she does room with them.

"Why am I not surprised? I'm pretty sure Miko knows everything about you, Bulk," Smokescreen teased, nudging the other again before he perked up and grabbed one of the larger bot's arms.

"Let's get a drink to celebrate!"

"Pretty much, don't have too many secrets around that kid." He chuckles at the tease, optics brightening some. At the suggestion and grabbing of his arms, he pushes away from the wall.

"Yes, let's go celebrate." He heads for the bar area. "What about you? You got some date we don't know about? Or didja come alone?"

Smokescreen follows along beside his teammate, wings twitching happily though there's a falter--a slight one--in his steps.

"Ah--no--Why would I have a date?" he says quickly, optics flickering as his vents cycle a bit.

He wouldn't...consider Sideswipe a date..at all..they'd just crossed paths was all. Even if the other was the reason he was here...

Bulkhead headed for the bar, relaxed and enjoying the company of a fellow team member.

"I dunno, was just wonderin'." He shrugs as he gives the younger bot a curious look at the fat talking. "Not like it was required or nothin'."
