WHO: Everyone!
WHERE: The Atrium, Haven's Hub.
WHEN: Today! The dance will go on from the late afternoon until the early hours of the morning.
WHAT: Have your top hat and cane? This is a formal ball. The origination is a drunken Vandal and battle-worn Saber.
WARNINGS: Could be anything from bar fights to drunken swearing to people tripping over their own feet or people making out in a corner.

Welcome to the dance!
     The Atrium will have its doors open in the late evening. For the first two hours, Vandal and Drift will be acting as receptionist and bouncer. After that, the doors close. At the reception desk, you will be required to sign your name and also hand over any weapons that you are carrying. (Within the building there is an inhibitor placed. No one will be able to use any weaponry on their person.)

     The Atrium is decorated in royal purple and black, with accents of white and pearl. The decorations are standard fair for a ball. There's hanging draperies, table clothes, and colored lighting. Towards the outside of the circular Atrium, everyone will be under a glowing white light. Towards the middle of the dance floor, there is a much softer lavender that illuminates the immediate area.

     Vandal and Saber organized and planned, and then helped with decorations. They will also be over seeing the event throughout the entire night. Vandal will be handling the reception desk and registration. We have Frenzy as our DJ in the Atrium, and Miko will be playing electric guitar for those who decide to visit the bar. Saber, Ironhide, and McCrane will be acting as security. They would be the best to contact should you have any.. safety concerns. Our bouncer, Drift, will be "on call" for security once his primary assignment is done. Kay organized and lead the decorating, and Ravage and McCrane helped with placing them. Melan and Joe gathered needed materials. Skidaddle is the one to blame for having the supply of available hats at the doors for any Cybertronian who tries to get past the one piece of attire rule.

     Feel free to post in any sub-forum area you think your character would be present in (with or without an opening post), or merely tag others. Prose or action-spam is okay (and you may want to include this in your initial posts if you want others to tag you). Bonus: include links to garments your character may be wearing. This is entirely up to you! Have fun!

[That head tilts coyly, as if amused at Barricade for saying that. Very well.

He lets Barricade lead, matching his feet to the music. His engine gives a purr, eyes practically glistening when the bots have to change direction. It's a passionate dance, to be sure, and...

Well, these are two bots with a flair for the dramatic.]

[This is certain a dance for a couple show-offs, so they got lucky dancing with each other. He moves fluidly with a rumble of his engine and a grin on his face.

It's hardly a battlefield, really, but Barricade is at home here.]

[Mirage matches Barricade's movements, placing his hands on the other's as it rests on his own hip.]

And where did you learn this?

Lessons on Earth's internet. Had t'break up the monotony of being hunted somehow.

[And learning dance and martial arts (and martial arts that are also dances) had been better than other things.]

Ah, you too. It would pass the time in the lab-...you took to the lessons well.

What, being hunted was not all fun and games?

What can I say? I'm a fast learner, and I had plenty of time t'get it right.

It was a lotta hiding in abandoned buildings in the rain and snow. And then caves after the energon detectors went in.

[He wouldn't do it again if he had to. But he can certainly be snarky about it now that it's over.]

[He presses up against the police car, wings flicking.]

Is amazing how easy polizia can hide. Everyone trusts them.

So I'd noticed when I made planetfall. Can't complain about their choice of paint schemes either.

[He tips his head, sliding his arms languidly around the Ferrari.]

Well, most of them trust the police.

[And he sidles up almost too easily against the bot, engine giving a soft purr.]

The only ones who do not cannot be trusted themselves.

[Barricade rumbles almost warmly settling for the moment to simply rock them back and forth.]

Mm, but that's what makes them fun. That little bit of wariness towards each other.

[Though less metaphorically, he could have done without the bats cracking his windshield.]

[He had to admit, it was a tad bit ironic if he thought about it. The red Autobot rocks with Barricade, almost...enjoying the moment.]

Picked up on that, huh?

[Admittedly, that was how Barricade normally operated. That doesn't really take the thrill out of it, or his enjoyment out of this.]

[It was a strange feeling, really. Especially given the circumstances.]

Perhaps a little. It is quite interesting, isn't it.

[These circumstances... are rather normal for him, now. The only difference is that it's his own timestream this time.]

It is. Most interesting way t'do it, in my experience.

...You do realize I will go back to despising you after tonight.

Oh, despising me, huh? Well, I suppose I c'n live with that, what I've seen so far.

[His back is flushed against the police car's, wings twitching in their 'down' position.]

Si.

So, when c'n I expect you asking for my help again, then?

[There isn't an answer, really. Only that hand clenching against Barricade's paint, making a nice little five-fingered scratch.]

Don't push it.

[He simply flashes a smile that's all-teeth. The paint can be fixed - and will be after tonight; there are few mechs he allowed to mar it for any significant time.]

Now where's the fun in that?

[Those nails dig in harder.]

Then I cannot guarantee what will happen.

Oh Mirage.

[His engine rumbles and he pushes into the Autobot's hand.]

There are never any guarantees.

[Eyes narrow.]

Then you will not be shocked.
