A formal dance.

WHO: Everyone!
WHERE: The Atrium, Haven's Hub.
WHEN: Today! The dance will go on from the late afternoon until the early hours of the morning.
WHAT: Have your top hat and cane? This is a formal ball. The origination is a drunken Vandal and battle-worn Saber.
WARNINGS: Could be anything from bar fights to drunken swearing to people tripping over their own feet or people making out in a corner.

Welcome to the dance!      The Atrium will have its doors open in the late evening. For the first two hours, Vandal and Drift will be acting as receptionist and bouncer. After that, the doors close. At the reception desk, you will be required to sign your name and also hand over any weapons that you are carrying. (Within the building there is an inhibitor placed. No one will be able to use any weaponry on their person.)      The Atrium is decorated in royal purple and black, with accents of white and pearl. The decorations are standard fair for a ball. There's hanging draperies, table clothes, and colored lighting. Towards the outside of the circular Atrium, everyone will be under a glowing white light. Towards the middle of the dance floor, there is a much softer lavender that illuminates the immediate area.      Vandal and Saber organized and planned, and then helped with decorations. They will also be over seeing the event throughout the entire night. Vandal will be handling the reception desk and registration. We have Frenzy as our DJ in the Atrium, and Miko will be playing electric guitar for those who decide to visit the bar. Saber, Ironhide, and McCrane will be acting as security. They would be the best to contact should you have any.. safety concerns. Our bouncer, Drift, will be "on call" for security once his primary assignment is done. Kay organized and lead the decorating, and Ravage and McCrane helped with placing them. Melan and Joe gathered needed materials. Skidaddle is the one to blame for having the supply of available hats at the doors for any Cybertronian who tries to get past the one piece of attire rule.      Feel free to post in any sub-forum area you think your character would be present in (with or without an opening post), or merely tag others. Prose or action-spam is okay (and you may want to include this in your initial posts if you want others to tag you). Bonus: include links to garments your character may be wearing. [And out of nowhere, the 'bot he's been keeping an eye on... drops onto his shoulder. He's laughing, his whole frame fairly buzzing with excited, dizzy energy. He even goes so far as to twine his arms around Mirage's neck with a cheerful yelp.]

[Someone's been drinking.]

[His head knocks into the side of the other Autobot's.]

I... found you!

[Funny thing about alcohol. It gets to you. Especially after a long night. And Mirage is no exception to this rule. In fact, you might say he's beyond the point of tipsy. And when Sideswipe drops onto his shoulder, his head turns towards him slowly, placing a hand over his face.

Feeling it out.]

Sideswipe!! Amico mio!!


I...was hiding. Here. You found me.

Surprise.

[He laughs, and shifts around so that he's standing in front of the other 'bot. As best he can. His own hands curl around the sides of Mirage's face.]

I'm so surprised. Look. Look, I am.

[He laughs again, shaking his head slightly.]

You're drunk, Mirage.

[perfavore]

It was me. I was here the whole time!

[He rolls his head into those hands, a soft purr echoing in his throat. That touch felt nice...

Oh, no no. He has to correct this.]

mmnot! I'm....Italia.

[stabbywheelfeet]

You were. You should -- you should be shinier. So I can see you better.

[That purr earns one of his own. He knows he's a little drunk. But this feels too good to pull back now.]

You're... Italia? You're Italy? How are you Italy?

[He stares at him, a little blearily.]

[perfavore]

[He blinks for a moment, as if thinking it over for a moment. That stare seems to focus on something else, mainly Sideswipe's chest.

He's looking at his reflection.]

SONO UN SCARAFAGGIO!

[His hands slowly go to his face.]

I am a beetle!

[stabbywheelfeet]

[He looks down too. Why is Mirage... ogling his chest...? It dawns on him after a moment -- the reflections in the metal.]

[But that exclaimation makes him stagger back a bit, bleary optics going wide.]

No. It's a mask.

A thing. You've got a thing. It's a thing on your face.

[perfavore]

[Oh. Oh okay...He calms down, but leans towards Sideswipe and resting his head on that chest.]

Oh...

Okay.

[And that's when the nuzzling starts.]

[He sits there for a moment, once Mirage starts mashing his face into his chest plating.]

[Well. That hasn't happened in. A while.]

What are... what are you doing?

[perfavore]

[He does this for a few moments longer, before slowly turning his head up.]

Sorry. It was just...my head needed to rest. Is spinning slightly.

[stabbywheelfeet]

Your. Head needed to rest. On my chest?

[There's a beat, while he thinks that over. And then he nods, as if that makes total and utter sense.]

Okay. That'll work.

[perfavore]

[And he nods in return. Yes, it made perfect sense to him.]

I like this party. Is fun.

[stabbywheelfeet]

[He laughs, the sound vibrating his frame.]

You're... so drunk.

[perfavore]

I'm...



I'm drunk.

[A laugh escapes him, optics shuttering.]

You too.

[stabbywheelfeet]

You are... so much more drunk than I am.

[As he starts laughing, his whole frame vibrating under Mirage's head.]

[perfavore]

No. NO. No. I'm...very drunk.

[He laughs at the vibration, arms sloppily reaching behind him...to a decent sized cube pile. Annnnndddd starts stacking them on Sideswipe's chestplate.]

Look! Una torre.

[stabbywheelfeet]

I said that. Isn't that what I said?

[He goes silent, staring down at the tower appearing on his shelf of a chest.]

... What now?

[perfavore]

Una torre!

[He pokes the cubes with a finger, looking up at him after he's nudged it.]

A tower.

[stabbywheelfeet]

Why is there a tower on... my chest?

[Apparently someone missed Mirage stacking the cubes there.]

[perfavore]

[A finger slowly inches up, knocking the 'tower' over.]

........It was me.

[He says this like it's the biggest secret reveal in the fuckin' universe.]

I made it.

[stabbywheelfeet]

[Sideswipe... watches it fall. He looks fascinated.]

I didn't... even see you do that.

Wow.

[perfavore]

I am sneaky.

[He makes his fingers do a 'walk' on the bot's chest.]

[stabbywheelfeet]

[And Sideswipe... shivers, at that. His engine kicks on.]

Sneaky bot.

I see you now.

[perfavore]

No you don't. I'm invisible.

[And just like that, he cloaks. Both of them.]
