A formal dance.

WHO: Everyone!
WHERE: The Atrium, Haven's Hub.
WHEN: Today! The dance will go on from the late afternoon until the early hours of the morning.
WHAT: Have your top hat and cane? This is a formal ball. The origination is a drunken Vandal and battle-worn Saber.
WARNINGS: Could be anything from bar fights to drunken swearing to people tripping over their own feet or people making out in a corner.

Welcome to the dance!      The Atrium will have its doors open in the late evening. For the first two hours, Vandal and Drift will be acting as receptionist and bouncer. After that, the doors close. At the reception desk, you will be required to sign your name and also hand over any weapons that you are carrying. (Within the building there is an inhibitor placed. No one will be able to use any weaponry on their person.)      The Atrium is decorated in royal purple and black, with accents of white and pearl. The decorations are standard fair for a ball. There's hanging draperies, table clothes, and colored lighting. Towards the outside of the circular Atrium, everyone will be under a glowing white light. Towards the middle of the dance floor, there is a much softer lavender that illuminates the immediate area.      Vandal and Saber organized and planned, and then helped with decorations. They will also be over seeing the event throughout the entire night. Vandal will be handling the reception desk and registration. We have Frenzy as our DJ in the Atrium, and Miko will be playing electric guitar for those who decide to visit the bar. Saber, Ironhide, and McCrane will be acting as security. They would be the best to contact should you have any.. safety concerns. Our bouncer, Drift, will be "on call" for security once his primary assignment is done. Kay organized and lead the decorating, and Ravage and McCrane helped with placing them. Melan and Joe gathered needed materials. Skidaddle is the one to blame for having the supply of available hats at the doors for any Cybertronian who tries to get past the one piece of attire rule.      Feel free to post in any sub-forum area you think your character would be present in (with or without an opening post), or merely tag others. Prose or action-spam is okay (and you may want to include this in your initial posts if you want others to tag you). Bonus: include links to garments your character may be wearing. Blurr, meet my assistant, Howlback. Does repairs in spots I can't reach, and did all the detail work on the formal wear too tiny for my claws t'boot.

[And the little fella even takes off his hat and tips it to Blurr, blinking the red optics behind those huge 'spectacles'.]

It's a pleasure. [Blurr smile, thinking that Howlback's rather cute. He doesn't say that out loud just in case the little guy gets offended.] He seems very skilled.

Ah no rush, really.

He is. Can get to a lotta stuff the rest of us can't. He's something special. [Howlback whistles happy. Blurr you are so nice to him... and very wise for not mentioning his cuteness.]

No rush to it, I promise. [The really delicate stuff like Blurr's order he put into boxes, just to make sure everything arrived all right. So what Barricade actually gives Blurr is... a brown box. Yay!]

The advantage of being small, uhm? I like that. [He might be a bit biased. Blurr wonders if he should snatch some energon goodies from the party and give them to Howlback or if that could offend him too.]

Ohitslikeapresent. [If he sounds like a happy like a kid on christmas eve it's because he never gets any sort of gifts. He opens the box quickly, but very carefully, and then stares at the intricate headdress.] Oh it's...wonderful. I never had anything this beautiful before.

It is. And I figured you might. [Being so small. And Howlback would hardly complain about energon goodies.]

[Barricade gets back up with a smile. He's glad that Blurr likes it. That had been the objective, after all.] Well, you oughta have something like this. It attaches with magnets in the back, but I made sure they were weak enough that they wouldn't scramble your processor. Tried to get it close to your dimension's armor style without directly copying it.

Yeah. [He's very aware of his size. It's not always a disadvantage. Good to know!

He listens, mesmerized.] Now that's a neat trick. Thank you a lot, Barricade, really. I love it. [He should try it on, shouldn't he?]

[He shrugs one shoulder.] It was the easiest solution I could come up with. 'M glad you like it.

[It's always nice to know someone appreciates your work.] So, try it on, tell me what you think.

I do I do...[He nods and carefully holds the headdress with a hand while he keeps the box int he other one. Once he manages to put it on he looks up at Barricade almost shyly.] How do I look?

[Barricade makes a show of looking Blurr over once the headdress is in place. Right down to the head tilting, chin tapping, and the 'hrm's and 'hm's. Then, he smiles.]

You look great.

[So much staring, after all that happened it make shim feel even more self conscious. He really needs to work on his confidence.]

[He reaches over and clasps Blurr's shoulder for a moment. You worry too much, little buddy.]

[If you don't want Blurr nervous Barricade don't say those nice things to him.]

[He grins. All he can do is try, really. Especially with the shy and humble ones.]

Yes, that sounds like a good idea. [He waves at Howlback and then, before leaving, he squeezes Barricade's arm in a silent thank you.]
