All Medics on Deck
WHO: Hospital mingle log
WHERE: Solus' Medical Bay
WHEN: Shortly after the Tarn fiasco
WHAT: Injured bots and annoyed medics
WARNINGS: Cranky medics and impatient patients
After the battle with the DJD, there are quite a few who had retained minor to severe injuries, and Red Alert is here to tend to them as they came in. Assuming that they think to come in at all. She realizes that she can't really scold anyone, as the act of taking down one of the Haven's most dangerous inhabitants was completely necessary and unavoidable.
Red Alert can be found fussing over patients, and she will allow guests as long as they're not loud or otherwise disruptive. Please don't try to escape, she'll come after you.

"Cliffjumper." He managed a weak nod at the red Autobot, pleased by the familiar company.
"How are you holding up?"
no subject
He'd actually gotten away surprisingly light, even in the last bit where he'd been right there and helping Optimus.
"... So, uh. How're you doin'?"
no subject
Optimus made an amused sound too soft to be a proper laugh, but the intent was obvious at least.
"But at least you are up and about. And honestly? Like scrap. The rest will be quite appreciated."
no subject
Eyeing the slab, Cliffjumper ended up leaned against it in an available space, arms crossed over the metal.
"You look like it. What was he even doin', in the end?"
no subject
Optimus managed a smile that slowly faded with a wary sigh.
"Tarn? Well, as near as I can tell, he was using some sort of vocal resonance attack. In the end, it just more or less feels like someone just...grabbed my spark and squeezed."
He rubbed a hand over his relatively unmarred chest-plates, the all-encompassing ache under them not nearly subsided.
no subject
"The slag... some things people can do." Not that his own glass gas couldn't inflict some serious damage, but that was on the chassis, not the spark. "Fraggin' creepy. Ya sure you're okay now?"
Leaning forward a little more (which meant he ended up on the front of his feet, balancing on the bumpers), Cliffjumper frowned at Optimus' chestplates, as if he could make sure from the outside that Optimus was okay, or see if there was something wrong still.
no subject
"I agree. It was very 'creepy'. I'd rather have the physical wounds, to be honest. At least then he would have actually been forced to fight me properly."
Optimus raised a hand, grateful for the concern but waving it off all the same with a wry smile.
"But I'll be fine, surely. The pain may linger, but the medics have left me to recover long enough to convince me I'm not going to drop dead any time soon.
no subject
"Yeah. I mean, you can at least counter that, but somethin' that affects your spark? That's like..." He shivered slightly and shifted his shoulders. "What the frag are ya supposed to do 'bout that?" He waved a hand around.
"At least you could make him shut up and stop it."
no subject
After surviving fighting Megatron hand-to-hand for so long, going down to a lunatic with the Decepticon sigil for a face and overpowered vocals seemed like cheating.
"I really don't know. Other than ripping out half his throat."
Which he'd already done. Damaging the mech's vocals had been the only solution at the time, and he'd been fortunate to do it before his spark had been snuffed out.
no subject
He'd never heard of something like that, and it wasn't just creepy but sort of terrifying that there basically was a "natural" one-shot killing ability. Cliffjumper grimaced and rubbed one hand against his upper arm.
no subject
Optimus sighed, before reaching across the berth to give Cliffjumper a comforting pat on a undamaged shoulder.
"For now at least, he can do no more damage. To anyone."
no subject
"Yeah. I suppose that gotta have to be good enough." Even if he doesn't like it, but it's one thing if he'd been killed while they tried to contain him, marching back there now to where Tarn is held and doing it wouldn't be right.
I'll even let ya choose the next movie without protestin', when you get out." He grins a little then - somewhat embarrassed, but certainly genuine. It's still somewhat hard to consider this whole... thing, that their friendship is. Because Prime.
no subject
Optimus chuckled, giving red armor a friendly squeeze.
"I remember your distaste for some of my historical dramas. And I still have an entire queue of them to get through."
no subject
They usually just had way too little interesting action going on, and the interpersonal stuff could get... complex and annoying to follow. So they were certainly not Cliffjumper's favourite type of movie - he preferred something more straightforward, or, if there had to be complex slag, mysteries.
They could be kind of fun.
no subject
"I know there are several that involve some rather boisterous minibots you might enjoy."
In fact, they rather reminded Optimus of a few minibot's he knew personally...
no subject
The truth was, that did ping his interest in a general sense, even if he could easily watch holos that lacked it.
"But that sounds good," Cliffjumper said with a lopsided little grin and a quick glance away, unsure why it felt good to have the Prime make such an allowance. With a shrug, he looked back up at Optimus.
"So that just means you gotta heal up fast, then!"
