[OPEN] Movie night~

Who: Blurr and anyone who wants to see a movie, get drunk or just don't feel lonely
What: Movie night for the tinny single unloved mechs.
Where: Blurr's room.
When: Afternoon/night.
Warnings: None

Blurr learned thanks to Gunmax that Valentine’s was a day to celebrate with those you cared about. He knew that Wheeljack wasn’t the most romantic type. Suggesting something like that could get the wrecker running into the opposite direction and Blurr was not about to risk it. He left a present in Wheelajck’s room, a handmade new sword and a small card with his name on it and that was it.

Because spending the day with him was not an option that even crossed Blurr's mind he chose the next best thing: spend the night watching a movie with friends. It was not a great plan, but it was better than being lonely. They had energon goodies and regular cubes, and Blurr had found a copy of the ‘Princess Bride’ to watch. Only fifteen minutes onto the movie and he already loved it.

"You've been really busy..." That is an awful lot of stuff going on, all at once. The bar, scouting, helping Megatron, searching the Junkpile. "I think I've seen that Megatron on the network. He doesn't seem so bad. And well... finding useful stuff in the junkyard is definitely a trial."

"He's a good mech." He has to speak up. The mech has done too much for him already mostly just by being himself. "Lord Megatron – this one – is an honorable mech, patient, steadfast. He respects those who serve him. I've yet to hear him raise his voice in anger. Or . . . for any other reason." A leader he has no reason to fear . . . it's been far too long since he's been able to say that. And Fracas may or may not catch the fleeting but deeply haunted look that crosses his optics for just an instant with that thought.

Fracas perks a little at the description, the wheels in his shoulders spinning idly. Someone that he wouldn't have to worry about angering with his sheer presence? Sure, he gets that with Shockwave... and has been grateful for it... but a leader that doesn't scare the tar out of him? That might not see him as disposable? This is almost too good to be true. The Vehicon taps his claws together nervously. "He. He's really like that?"

Thundercracker nods, reading well enough the fear in the other mech, fear he himself has lived with for too long. He probably really shouldn't be surprised at what is likely a common thread through the realities. Most realities. "He really is. He's nothing like the fierce warlord I've known for so long. And you did too, I'd guess. I'll introduce you if you'd like."

It wasn't a reaction he'd expected to see out of a flier that didn't seem to be a drone. That fear. Otherwise Fracas might have tried to play it off a little more. As it is... someone that he'd identify as an officer, fearing Megatron like that? It's fair to show it a little more. "Yeah, he... well, it. It got pretty bad. And I-I'd like that. If it's not any trouble." He's more than willing to meet a Megatron that might not kill him at the drop of a hat.

((ooc: Granted, G1 Megs OOC'ly is kind of a joke among fandom and especially compared to all the incarnations that have come after him [TFP anyone!? o.o ] . . . but IC'ly he is fearsome enough that TC's terrified of him in canon [at least according to his toy bio], so that's what I'm building from. In case you were wondering. XD))


If anything, as an officer, Thundercracker had it worse in some ways. He had worked closely with his Megatron, was well known and even sought by the mech, couldn't try to hide . . . and punishments often made him wish the warlord would kill him and be done with it. He grimaced, wings flicking in mild agitation, as he nodded at Fracas's first comment. "Positive-polarity Megatrons seem to have that in common. And no, it's no trouble. I'm sure he'll be happy to meet you. I contact him tomorrow."

((OOC: I admit I only just started watching G1 recently, but in the context of just G1... yeah, Megatron is pretty intimidating. And Fracas definitely thinks in terms of TFP Megatron so he can hardly blame TC X3))

The officers always seemed to have it a little better, to him. They worked more closely with Megatron, true... but he'd never seen them killed for no reason, and occasionally they even got away with questioning orders. That, and even the officers abused them. Living every day like you might be murdered isn't fun. "It's... kind of awful that we all have that in common. Oh, I'm so glad to hear that. You'll let me know when he's able to see me?"

((It's cracky and so full of plot holes and continuity errors that it's nearly impossible to take seriously . . . but the characters are fantastic, imo. And it's the version I grew up with. I enjoy many of the other continuities to varying degrees, even /love/ a few (TFA being the main one on that) but I will always wind up returning to G1, regardless of how wacky it is. XD))
