What's December Without Christmas Eve? [Tree Decorating: OPEN]

WHAT: Tree Decorating!
WARNINGS: Infinite cute and maybe tree eating

Well, Kay and Elita had done it. It took awhile, and surprisingly, all in one night, but they'd been able to grab branches from the large crystal trees that the pink robot had grown, and placed them all around Haven. Where, specifically? Outside the temples! Really, surprised no one noticed it.  But to those who walk out of the them, they'll now notice a tree on either their right or left, empty, glittering, and with a note.



What could this mean? What's this? There's trees everywhere! What's this? And depending on what your alignment is/where you live, you'll get a different tree. 

(ooc: I'll be putting comments up for each quadrant's tree. Comment under whichever one you'd like to react to/decorate/chat with people under. It's a huge mingle thread! Also, don't forget to put your tag in the log!

"Hmm...What about Miss Solus's Quadrant?"

     "You got it! ...uh, which way's that again?"

That gets her thinking. She hadn't really visited Solus's Quadrant all too often, so it makes her think a moment. It was really far off, she knew that.

And when her gaze rests on an area that almost looks rocky and uninhabitable, she points.

"I think it's there! Full speed ahead!"

     Far, but not unreachable by this method. At least it wouldn't take nearly as long as it would by foot!

     "Hang on, here we go!"

"You got it!"

Those arms grip him tight, pressing her face into his back as she waits for the intense speed to come again.

Man, she loved riding this thing.

     Ventus laughs as they zoom on. It's not often that he's had a chance to really enjoy himself while using his glider- mostly it's been only seen as a convenience for getting around. He's been able to have a little more fun with it in this place, oddly enough. And here would also be the first time he's ever carried passengers.

     "Hey, I know Megatron said he was going to try working on something that we could use to get around the Haven a lot easier- but in the meantime, if or whenever you need a lift somewhere, I wouldn't mind doing so."

Kay watches the ground fly beneath them, finding absolutely nothing wrong with the height. It was freeing--to be up here, and just flying around. She could see why Ven liked using it so much.

And when he makes that offer, she can only gasp.

"Really? You'd do that?"

     "'Course I would!" he replies, flashing a grin back at her.

And at that grin, Kay presses herself close to him in a squeeze, hugging him tight. "Thanks so much Ven. That's a huge help...


It's hard running everywhere. When Kagerou's or anyone else is busy."

     "Whoa-!" And here he thought her grip couldn't get any tighter. He doesn't mind the hug though. With no Aqua around, he's not been getting his quota.

     "You're welcome! -yeah, I kinda figured. I tried it just to see how long it would take. It's kind of crazy..." he laughs.

She nods, tilting her head slightly to get a better look at the ground below.

"Yeah, I used to walk everywhere...it took forever. But I've got some robot friends who give me rides...and now you!"

     "Doesn't hurt to have another back-up," Ventus shrugs, smiling at her lopsidedly.

"I'll return the favor someday, promise."

She actually seems really thankful about this. Despite having LEGS OF STEEL now she really doesn't mind the rides to and from.

     "Aw, you don't have to worry about it. After all, what are friends for?" It makes him happy to say as much too.

There's one more squeeze of thanks.

"Friends...you know, it's really easy to make friends here. I'm not sure how I ever had problems back home."

     "...yeah, it is. I'm kinda glad for that." He blinks, glancing over his shoulder. "...it wasn't the same way back where you're from?"

[littlecrowgirl]

"No...I didn't really have a lot of friends. You know, aside from high school. But it was really awkward sometimes."

[happyduckbutt]

     "High school?" Ventus tilts his head. "I...guess for me, it's always kind of been like this. All the friends I've made have been from other worlds- well, aside from Aqua and Terra, but...I'm not even sure where they originally came from. I don't even remember where I came from before I met them."

[littlecrowgirl]

She tilts her head a bit herself, thinking about that.

"Oh right, I forget you travel to worlds a lot. It's still kind of new to me. I think the farthest I went was like...to Japan. Not a different world..."

     "Well, not a whole lot, but I'd like to think I was getting the hang of it."

[littlecrowgirl]

"Can you give me details? Like...how'd you do it?"

[happyduckbutt]

     Ventus looks ahead again. "Only Keyblade wielders can travel to other worlds, and we use the Lanes Between to do it. We use these to travel them," he said, tapping his foot on the glider beneath them. "But it's dangerous to go without protection, so we also have to wear armor."

[littlecrowgirl]

Her grip tightens slightly as she listens, resting her head on his shoulder in thought. "...You think it could work for this world? I mean...I know the Lambda messes some stuff up, but if it wasn't there, do you think you could open it up?"

Just a thought.

     She can't see the slight waver in his expression then. What she suggested then wasn't the first time, and the one that had done so was now gone with the other Glyphless.

     With the way ahead of them clear of obstacles (that's the nice thing about flying high), Ventus lifts his head to look up at the gaping tear of blue that glows so brightly in the sky above. "...I'm not sure. It should, but I won't know for sure without trying."

She follows that gaze, looking up at that tear. It was...interesting. But she had to admit it had an intimidating look about it.

"I hear it messes up anything that flies too close..."
