[ Starscream is fashionably early, if only to give himself time to find the correct location. he stands outside the temple, looking around the area and already making comparisons between this temple and the one that he had awoken in. in the back of his processor, the scientist in him is curious if the FFs are responsible for the terrain and if it reflects upon the FF of the sector. their likes... their personalities...

it's a new experience. something other than war. that is enough for him to latch onto it and just enjoy before it inevitably backfires. ]

How lucky I am that you are so understanding. [Knock Out smiles, clearly joking and then seems surprised.] What were your doing there? Your Cybertron was still alive?

[Ah, poor Starscream.

Knock Out will change his view on doctors for sure.]

Ah yes, your Prime. He sounds an awful lot like the Megatron I used to know. Let's rejoice in the fact that none of them are here. However, that means that we need to have an appointment. Don't worry I'll be gentle. And I'll let you get used to this place first. [But the check up is still happening.]

Most of the medics are in the same temple, which is rather absurd if you ask me, as well as dangerous. [He shows Starscream the temple, pointing to places and giving explanations.]

There's more than one medbay: the main and bigger one is Solus's, then you have Glit's facility and my own clinic. At the beginning only Autobots worked in the main clinic, which made some bots here uneasy.

"Alive," is one word for it. Sources are becoming scarce and the Rad Zone is still spreading. [ Starscream frowns at this. their home is nearly gone because of all this fighting and chaos that Prime seems to lavish in. ] My Prime, as you put it, thought that life had been far too peaceful and dull. Now that Cybertron is all but lost, he seeks to build an empire - taking other planets and sucking them dry. Earth was meant to be the first...

[ and he MIGHT be sidestepping the whole check up thing. sorry, Starscream is still quite nervous about letting someone put hands on him. so instead he is going to focus on the various places that are being pointed out to him. ]

I can see why having only Autobots would make some nervous... It certainly works that way for me and I know that I have nothing to really fear.

Sounds better than mine before we fixed it. Do you have to deal with scraplets too? [Such horrible little pests, Knock Out hates them with passion.]

You know, I wonder why all the megalomaniacs dictators have such fixation with Earth from all the planets. [Knock Out didn't like humans much but he liked the planet and their culture enough to not want it erased.

It will only be a few scans and a good cleaning of your rusty joints, don't be a protoform.]

We are quite the mixed lot in this planet so we needed a clinic that suit everyone's needs. We have neutrals, Autobots, Decepticons, Predacons,....Decepticons who changed sides. [He glances a Starscream briefly to judge his reaction before talking again.]

I can't imagine why I a big, strong looking, mech like you would have anything to fear.

Deal? [ why is it said - OH RIGHT. he really DOES laugh then. ] I forgot. Scraplets in your reality have a different function that in mine. They do not feed on living metal. Instead they eat away dead metal. By now they are highly sought after for medical purposes.

[ funny how something like that works out. it's enough to keep a smile on his face. ~~and shut up KO you are not really inspiring much faith with your subtle flirts.~~

and Starscream wonders why Earth is so valued. he likes it well enough - and even enjoys the company of the humans that they have befriended - but Cybertron is his HOME. ]

Predacons? [ 8T tell him about these things, Knock Out. but really, the medic isn't going to get any judging glances from Starscream. anyone can realize their mistakes and make up for them... so why would someone look down on that? ]

And I'll have you know that I don't particularly care for violence.

[What an unexpected reaction at the mention of metal piranhas. Knock Out's confused for a millisecond.] Right, medical purposes...[He's not buying that.] If I see a Scraplet in this planet I'll blast it away and if you value your life you should do the same. Is the best course of action with the little monsters.

[How can you like scraplets, Starscream, are you crazy?~~Is he inspiring something more than faith then? is he? ~~~~~]

Their names are Sky Lynx and Darksteel and they are brothers. The predacons were our ancestors. Back in my world Shockwave cloned them from some remains he found.

I'll just have to take your word for it. I guarantee that they are harmless where I am from.

[ because they are cute and eat away dead metal. like leeches sucking out poison or bad blood! ]

What was the purpose for cloning them?

The one I know can kill a mech in seconds and only really low temperatures can stop them. Unless you manage to crush them, but they move really fast.

[Those sounds adorable. The ones Knock out's describes....not so much.]

Shockwave was alone in the wasteland planet that was our cybertrone before we restored it, maybe that was the reason at first. But my bet is that he just went 'why not' and used the bones.

Sciencing, you know how that is. One day you are drawing formulas on a paper and the next day you need to get a bigger house because your new predacon's kid doesn't fit in it.

Scientists with the mentality of "why not" are usually not the type I would want to associate with.

[ after a moment... ]

Your version of Shockwave seems... Extreme. Merely because you have the means to do something doesn't quite mean you should.

Shame, I thought that was the norm among scientist. Guess that only makes you even more special.

He's a very special type of Shockwave too, what can I say? How is yours? Does he has two optics?

I wouldn't say special... [ stop hitting on him, man. ] It's just common sense coupled with a good set of morals.

[ a slight smile adorns his features as they walk. Shockwave is good people where he is from. a little... out of the box, but good people. ]

Afraid not. He only has one. Megatron sent him to Earth to serve as an ambassador. I think he is one of the few that entertain the notion that Primus even exists on our Cybertron.

No you wouldn't because of your modesty. And that only makes it better. [Can't stop, won't stop.] Common sense is a rare thing around here.

[Knock Out wouldn't categorize his own Shockwave as bad people per sé. Shockwave is in his own side and that side is often science. Granted, the mech has no problem blasting away anybody that gets in the middle of his plans too.]

Just like the one I know. It's hard to imagine him as an ambassador, though. He's not all that good at socializing.

"Modesty" is not what some would call it. [ insecurity, mostly. and you're being so flattering, Knock Out that it is, yes, starting to compute that there is subtle ~~but not really that subtle~~ flirting going on... and it's making him tense just a touch. ~~NOT GETTING FLUSTERED. NOT HAPPENING.~~ ]

Anyway... Shockwave. Actually, he is quite adept at "socializing."

[Knock Out winks at him.] I am not like most mech, in case you haven't already noticed. [He knows more about insecurity that he lets people know. He won't make fun of Starscream for that. ~~Uh huh. Keep telling yourself that~~.]

I wouldn't meet meeting your Shockwave, it would be quite the experience.

I am starting to see that.

[ and that wink just makes him almost stutter. Almost. ]

Shock wave would probably enjoy chatting with you.

I'm sure it would be an interesting conversation.

[Knock Out can't help but look pleased with himself. They pass by the main medbay and Knock Out gestures towards it's door but doesn't stop.]

Here's where red Alert, Ambulon and Ratchet work most of the time. If you ask me, it's a really bad idea to keep all your maedics in one single place with no security.

[ and Starscream can't help but give Knock Out a sideways glance - halfway suspicious. ]

There's no security?

[ seriously? that's surprising. ]

No that I am aware. [He doesn't bother showing Starscream the emdbay because he's going to show in an awesome, shinny new clinic. his clinic.]

And I work there from time to time. It proves how naive some mechs can be.

Are you including yourself in that?

[ to work there from time to time, knowing it is not protected? of course, it is teasing just a little. ]

Where are we heading next?

They need an adult to supervise them from time to time. [Joking right back. He enjoys people who can tease.]

We are heading to my clinic. It's on the other side of the temple, you will be able to get a good look of this place before we get there.

Who supervises you, I wonder.

[ just a tour of the place and clinic right? No coercing into an exam, please. Screamy is already half suspicious. ]

The other side? Putting some distance between the lot of you?

No one fills that position yet, but if you want the job... [Of course he's only joking too. Not even Megatron could completely boss Knock Out around when he felt like not listening but people who are nice to him have it easier.

And no, no exam yet. He just wants to show of his clinic, it's a lovely workplace.]

As I said, it's a bad idea to keep all your medical resources together. A lot strange things happen in this plane from time to time. Glit has another clinic somewhere int he temple too.

[He actually gets along with most of the other medics.]

Oh, well THAT is inevitable.

[ an easy smile. Is he serious? Joking? A bit of both. Megatron does say he worries about others terribly. Cliff also says thy Starscream is too nice for his own good. Chances are he's going to keep an optic on KO no matter what. ]

Glit?

[That surprises Knock Out. He gives an O RLLY amused look back.]

Glit is a casetticon medic. He looks like Ravage's twin, we confuse them often. At least until they open their mouths. Their personalities couldn't be more different.

[ and that smile never wavers. not gonna be able to read through it to get a straight answer. sorry, try again. ]

I know who Glit is. [ hard for him not to, really. ] Which reality is he from?

[Knock Out's starting to think that said smile is a poker face. He knows better than anyone how smiles can be used as defense mechanism, you can't trick a trickster Starscream.]

I am not really sure. But he's not going around trying to kill anybody, so he's probably sane. I'm still wondering how he can do surgery with paws...
