Fundamental Failure to Fly
WHO: Fracas and YOU! Yes, YOU!
WHERE: All over the Haven
WHEN: Over the course of the next week (7/8 to 7/13)
WHAT: Fracas is practicing flying... unfortunately he's not so good at it yet.
WARNINGS: n/a, to be updated as needed
Fracas had been a car since forever. No, really. It was what he had always been. Wheels were the way he got around; it was why he suggested the roads in the first place. His undercarriage was so sore from rocks and stray junk he had to do something. Besides walking, anyway.
Changing to the body of a flier has... been something of an adjustment.
Okay, it's been a lot of adjustment. One he's still not entirely there with. But practicing combat with Shockwave had helped his fighting abilities. So practicing flying will help with that. At least, he hopes so.
If only it didn't end with him crashing so much.
Wing flaps are more difficult to deal with than he'd expected. If not for those, he'd have the flying part down. The landing not so much. As it is, he's only got down the takeoff. But one out of three ain't bad, right?
... Right?
Beware, Haven. For this week, a certain now-teal Vehicon is going to be in the sky. And nobody will be safe from him unexpectedly dropping out of the sky. Not even if you're in a temple; he might just crash right through your wall, in fact. Hope you were planning some renovations!

Fashionably so! .D
Of course, most of the time for 'sorting out' was spent trying to figure out flight. Easier said than done when you'd been a car for your entire life. Wheels don't translate well to wing flaps. Which is probably the cause of most of his woes.
Woes such as botching a move and ending up careening right in Shockwave's direction.
Oh no. No no no no no. "INCOMING!"
imagining baywave in super fancy clothes now
He's not concerned, he has little reason to be. His own strength compared to Fracas' was large enough, and that was before the additional perks he'd gotten from Megatronus and his glyph. He'd been a tank before, but now he was even more so. It was unlikely Fracas would do much damage to him - if any.
Simply put there was little reason to move.
Catching the vehicon to break his fall so he didn't collide with the ground was also another reason not to move.
fancy suit with a top hat and a cane, awh yeah
He may or not scream a little bit as Shockwave catches him.
Or scream a lot.
taking fracas to all the fancy restaurants
The screaming, while expected for the fall, isn't exactly expected to continue after the catch. Or during. Fracas is fine, or at the very least better than he would have been crashing into the ground. He fails to see the issue that would require such continuous screaming. But emotions and him never did see optic to optic.
"Are you finished?"
sipping energon tea with his pinky out
Fracas does eventually stop screaming, if only to keep from going hoarse. At that point he sags in Shockwave's grip, heaving a few breaths.
"Y-yeah. Sorry."
of course
Once the vehicon sags in his grip, he readjusts, holding Fracas a little closer, propping him up a little better. Let the little guy relax a little after his almost crash.
"Still having trouble with your wings." It's not so much a question, as it is a statement. You'd have to be blind to not realize that the new wings were giving Fracas trouble. It wasn't surprising, considering his previous alt mode, even the reverse could be confusing.
"Determined the problems yet?"
shockwave you and your suit are just so swag
Even if he'd just gone from car to tank he'd have trouble... but then he'd still be on the ground, failing at treads. Instead he's up in the air, failing at something even the most poorly-trained fliers can manage.
"It's these flaps. I forget which way they're supposed to go and do something wrong and then I overcorrect and... you saw." Ground here he comes to see you, his nose started missing you about twenty minutes ago and wanted to check on you.
gentlemanwave
"You panic." Another statement. Not a foreign problem at the very least, something that even on the ground he might be able to help with. Fracas had panicked with fighting before he started training him, it was something that could be corrected.
They're going to have to work on that.
no subject
"... a little bit." It's difficult not to. He's used to panicking over things; it's a reaction he's comfortable having, even if it's not the most logical reaction. He's gotten better at not doing it while fighting. Sooner or later he will figure out how not to panic in the air. It will just take time. Fracas's wings slump slightly and he cringes a little.
"Sorry."
