We're On Your Property
WHO: R2-D2, Starscream (no, the other one) and our lovely Police Force members
WHERE: Prima's Quadrant; Police Headquarters
WHEN: Some time after this thread.
WHAT:The Police Force adopt a new mascot/pet Current jailbird!Starscream has coerced our intrepid astromech into attempting to bust him out. Things don't quite go as planned, though.
WARNINGS: --
It wasn't the first time that Artoo wished he still had his rocket boosters. He was only thankful that he hadn't been at the opposite end of the Junk Pile when he'd received the coordinates from that private feed. Starscream, wasn't it? The Decepticon hadn't introduced himself, but it hadn't taken Artoo very long to filter through past recent communications to find a match for the ID he'd been contacted with. The rest was just gleaning through conversations for a name.
The droid had to wonder if this was a good idea, really. If C-3PO were here, he'd most likely say that it wasn't, but then he tended to say that about a lot of things. ...what was that protocol droid doing right now anyway? Oh well.
The police facilities didn't look at all like other places of law enforcement that Artoo was familiar with. It almost appeared out of place when in comparison to other structures within the Haven, but the astromech supposed that was to be expected, given there were individuals from varying worlds. At the very least, he couldn't complain that there wasn't access for someone his size, so entry was the least of his problems.
Artoo hesitated near the entryway, his radar scanning for any immediate signs of others within. It wasn't like he could just roll right in and get to work. ...or could he?
...no, that was a ridiculous notion.
The droid hooted to himself, then trundled on inside. If he wasn't hindered from anything, he'd go ahead and have a look around. No harm in that, right?

OH! It noticed him.]....hi. Are you lost?
no subject
The droid twitters in greeting once addressed. Lost? Um. He rolls back and forth a couple of times, almost sheepish.]
no subject
Blurr can't help but smile a little. Not openly hostile, not yet, that was a good thing. He crunched over to look at the robot closely.]You can understand me then? Do you have a name?
no subject
He beeps an affirmative of that, followed by a series of chirps to convey his designation. ]
no subject
The affirmative part Blurr understood. The rest not sdo much.] Ah..uhm...sorry i don't quite fo-llo-w. I'm Blurr, do you have a name? [One that he could understand?]
no subject
[[Designation = R2-D2_]]
no subject
He gets the ping and tilts his head, then smiles again.]R2-D2. That's an interesting name. Are you one of the a-co-ly-tes?
no subject
[[Negative. R2-D2 = Astromech droid. Specializes in systems communications and starship repair._]]

[[Have spoken with him. Will see if I can be of assistance.]]
[...right. Why is he here? He can't just tell the one that had put Starscream in here that he was looking to study the security system so he could break the Decepticon out and if you would kindly look in the opposite direction while he did so.]
[[...was sight-seeing. Not familiar with locations/terrain.>_]]
no subject
[Lyign to him, though, is not so nice.]
This is the Police Force's headquarters, we work to keep things safe. There's nothing much to see here.
no subject
[Aw, it isn't a lie! It's true enough! He just omitted the part about potentially trying to spring one of your inmates...]
[[Police Force = Local law enforcement? Unused to size differences._]]
no subject
[Uh huh. Half truths are just as bad. And helping a dangerous inmate to scape from prison is a criminal thinks, buddy.
Blurr nods.] Yes, that's it. Do you want me to show you the place? As I said, there's no much to see but if you are curious...I'm not as BIG as most mechs here I KNOW very how the differences can be a bit overwhelming.
[And you are just so tiny and adorable looking for a drone.]
no subject
[[Would be appreciated!_]]
[He'd get annoyed if he were called a drone again though.]
no subject
Then follow me, it won't be a long trip, though.
[Sorry about that, Blurr doesn't know better.]
[He starts to walk towards the main room, filled with activity at this hour of the day.] The desk and other furniture are of different sized to accommodate the different members of the Police Force. Some are humans, others Cybertronians and others made by humans. We welcome diversity.
no subject
Artoo beeps his compliance, trundling along after the Autobot. A thoughtful hoot follows Blurr's words as the droid takes in the set up.]
no subject
The cells are on a lower floor a shooting range it's outside, far away from here AND that's pretty much it.
no subject
He chirps a thanks at the Autobot once things are rounded off.]
no subject
You are welcome. I think that was a thanks...? Now do you need anything else? [He sees you not leaving and wonders.]
no subject
[[Have many problems with law breakers here?_]]
no subject
no subject
[Especially if there were those existing from two warring factions.]
no subject
[Ah yes, the War. It ended in Blurr's world with the Autobot victory but other weren't so lucky.]
no subject
[[Unfortunately true._]]

[[My master has assisted the rebels. We were in the process of rescuing an important figure in the Alliance._]]
[Which is not long before he found himself here.]

[[How so? = Having a master? I have had many masters; my main functions are for their starship repairs and navigation._]]

But you have a mind on your own, you think all by yourself. No one should order you around.
