I can figure out the point of anything [OPEN]
WHO: Rewind and You!
WHERE: Liege Maximo's altar
WHEN: A day after Chromedome's death/body has gone missing
WHAT: One half waits for the other.
WARNINGS: N/A
It'd been twenty-four hours since Chromedome's death.
And the feeling was still numb--Rewind kept trying to process it, to make sense of it. But all that he could do was continue on, almost on autopilot. It was like his brain wouldn't do anything other than what was necessary. He was angry, at a great number of people. Angry at Chromedome for not keeping his promise, angry at Prowl for instigating him. Angry at Tarn for killing him in such a way.
Rewinds warnings were far too ironic. He'd always told Chromedome that injecting could kill you. He just didn't mean it quite so literally. When he saw it over the feed, he could feel his spark sink like a rock. It sank into a rut that it couldn't escape from, and despite knowing that Chromedome would eventually come back...
It didn't make the pain of losing him go away.
He sat by the alter in Liege Maximo's temple, where Chromedome would eventually appear, as he'd learned on the Link. All of those who died would appear there, in their respective temples. As he sat, he fiddled with something he found in the junkpile. A tiny cassette, nothing too out of the ordinary. But something about it had Rewind quite interested.
Fiddling with it.
[ooc: feel free to sit with him or bug Rewind on this! He'll be here until Chromedome comes back.]

...but he turns silent as well, looking at that cassette and setting it by the altar.
"I plan to. If things go my way, this'll never happen to him again."
no subject
"Good. There's going to be a lot of talking once he's back." Blur doesn't really want to upset Rewind further and that's all he's going to say about the issue with Chromedome, Tarn and the implications for the Police Force.
"Might I ask what's that cassette?"
no subject
"Good. He deserves whatever's coming to him. And whatever you guys do, I'm going to give him worse."
...
He looks down at the cassette a moment, twirling it in his fingers. "It's a gift for him."
no subject
"Do you know why he did it then? Or if he was forced to do it?" Blurr would like that option, only because it meant that Chromedome wasn't the responsible.
He stared at the cassette, thinking. "AH... A message from you yelling?" Blurr said that last part with a weak smile, trying to lighten the atmosphere.
no subject
"'Forced' is too strong of a word, but I know he wouldn't do it without SOME help. Persuasion, they call it."
The next part makes him bitter, because he could rattle off names, but that would not help his case in the long run.
"I just have no concrete proof.
Yet."
no subject
"Just as bad." Blurr looked around them again, then back to Rewind. "Yet, you said. But there's a name in your processor, isn't it? Probably someone you knew from your own world too."
no subject
It was just as bad. And that's why it made him so angry. It was like catching a proverbial snake in the grass. "There is. But without proof, it'll look terribly biased."
no subject
"I can only imagine how hard this is for you. I never had anybody the way you two..well, you know."
no subject
"I think it's Prowl."
His head dips, eyes never leaving that altar.
"I always wanted to be the one to die before him. It's selfish, but...being without him is the worst."
no subject
Blurr was a bit unsure for a second but he finally pulled Rewind closer to his chest into a comforting hug.
no subject
He can't imagine anyone kept quiet about his feelings on it.
But when the embrace comes, Rewind's own hands wrap around Blurr's neck, rubbing the bot's back.
Almost as if HE was the one comforting, not the one needing to be comforted. It was...oddly a habit.
no subject
He reciprocated the gesture rubbing soothing circles on Rewind's back .] You need to rest, Rewind. Just try to stop thinking for a bit.
no subject
If he had a mouth, he'd be smiling. "But I think Domey's getting enough for the both of us. I know I won't be able to until he's back."
His head droops, heaving a sigh.
"I'll be fine."
no subject
I'm not going anywhere, why don't you have some energon and then rest your optics for a few kliks? If he shows up, I will wake you up and you can yell at him.
I know that sort of fine.
no subject
"Heh, I'll say yes to the energon. But I can't promise on the rest. It's...different when you're someone's conjunx endura. Sleep just...it doesn't happen.
I want to see him come back.
And then I'll punch him in the face."
no subject
"I will still stay, if you don't mind." Company won't hurt Rewind and Blurr wants to be sure that Rewind isn't left alone with his thoughts for long periods of time. "Those aren't terms that exist in my world. What's a conjunx endura?"
Blurr smiles at the last comment, he can't help it. "In the face?"
no subject
"I'd like that. I mean, if you have other things to attend to don't hesitate to go do them. But company's good too."
...
And then silence.
"Conjunx Endura is...your significant other."
no subject
"Then I'll stay. Don't worry about those things." Blurr will worry about them later. He keeps one arm around Rewind but he moves slightly so they are leaning against each other.
"Ah.I apologize for asking" All makes more sense now. It's also even more heartbreaking. The blue mech reaches out to grab one of the cubes, waiting for the awkward silence to go away. He puts it on Rewind's lap. Eat, mister.
no subject
"It's no biggie." And it really wasn't. Heck, he put that on his medical chart for First Aid. He wasn't overly shy about it. But when the cube is put in his lap, he takes it, swirly it idly.
"Thanks...heh, since I don't have an engine, I really don't burn it as fast as some others do. You know, ones with actual vehicle mods"
no subject
"Lucky you, my case is the o-ppo-si-te. I got one of the fastest engine in the universe. Imagine how much I have to drink everyday to not pass out. I still forget about it sometimes, though it was complicated when I had to spend a long time on earth." And under Master disaster control, no less. "Thanks Primus that I could drink oil. For the record, it tastes awful."
no subject
He laughs for a moment, but it quiets down into his...apathy.
no subject
Blurr keeps rubbing circles in his back, silent now. Time for more waiting then.
