I can figure out the point of anything [OPEN]
WHO: Rewind and You!
WHERE: Liege Maximo's altar
WHEN: A day after Chromedome's death/body has gone missing
WHAT: One half waits for the other.
WARNINGS: N/A
It'd been twenty-four hours since Chromedome's death.
And the feeling was still numb--Rewind kept trying to process it, to make sense of it. But all that he could do was continue on, almost on autopilot. It was like his brain wouldn't do anything other than what was necessary. He was angry, at a great number of people. Angry at Chromedome for not keeping his promise, angry at Prowl for instigating him. Angry at Tarn for killing him in such a way.
Rewinds warnings were far too ironic. He'd always told Chromedome that injecting could kill you. He just didn't mean it quite so literally. When he saw it over the feed, he could feel his spark sink like a rock. It sank into a rut that it couldn't escape from, and despite knowing that Chromedome would eventually come back...
It didn't make the pain of losing him go away.
He sat by the alter in Liege Maximo's temple, where Chromedome would eventually appear, as he'd learned on the Link. All of those who died would appear there, in their respective temples. As he sat, he fiddled with something he found in the junkpile. A tiny cassette, nothing too out of the ordinary. But something about it had Rewind quite interested.
Fiddling with it.
[ooc: feel free to sit with him or bug Rewind on this! He'll be here until Chromedome comes back.]

"I will still stay, if you don't mind." Company won't hurt Rewind and Blurr wants to be sure that Rewind isn't left alone with his thoughts for long periods of time. "Those aren't terms that exist in my world. What's a conjunx endura?"
Blurr smiles at the last comment, he can't help it. "In the face?"
no subject
"I'd like that. I mean, if you have other things to attend to don't hesitate to go do them. But company's good too."
...
And then silence.
"Conjunx Endura is...your significant other."
no subject
"Then I'll stay. Don't worry about those things." Blurr will worry about them later. He keeps one arm around Rewind but he moves slightly so they are leaning against each other.
"Ah.I apologize for asking" All makes more sense now. It's also even more heartbreaking. The blue mech reaches out to grab one of the cubes, waiting for the awkward silence to go away. He puts it on Rewind's lap. Eat, mister.

"It's no biggie." And it really wasn't. Heck, he put that on his medical chart for First Aid. He wasn't overly shy about it. But when the cube is put in his lap, he takes it, swirly it idly.
"Thanks...heh, since I don't have an engine, I really don't burn it as fast as some others do. You know, ones with actual vehicle mods"
no subject
"Lucky you, my case is the o-ppo-si-te. I got one of the fastest engine in the universe. Imagine how much I have to drink everyday to not pass out. I still forget about it sometimes, though it was complicated when I had to spend a long time on earth." And under Master disaster control, no less. "Thanks Primus that I could drink oil. For the record, it tastes awful."

He laughs for a moment, but it quiets down into his...apathy.

Blurr keeps rubbing circles in his back, silent now. Time for more waiting then.
