WHO: Saber and Blurr
WHERE: Starting at the Haven, then quite far away from it
WHEN: Early afternoon
WHAT: Out for a drive
WARNINGS: N/A
After thinking about it for some time, Blurr had decided where he wanted to take Saber for a drive. It was quite far away from the Haven, but not too close to the Badlands, and he knew she wanted to travel that far away.
He had many things on his mind right now, all the sudden disappearances and those strange phantoms Wing talked about, but he was waiting forward their meeting. Blurr always felt more at ease next to her.
He waited outside the temple, listening to some music he recorded from the radio when he was in Detroit.

No, this could wait. Saber wanted this to start off well.
The knight walked over to the car, the passenger door, and then looked into one of the windows.
"Ah.. May I?" she asked, referring to open his door to allow herself in.

Certain things had been bothering him as well, mostly Megatronus, Frenzy, all the disappearances and the new additions to the Police force. But it was better not to talk about that now.
"Ohyesofcourse." He opened the door immediately, but not too fast so it could scare her or hit her. "Madam."
thank you for that pic. i really like having references for everything visually.
Blurr's calling her madam made her smile again.
"Yes, thank you."
..So now that she was in the car, well.. rather, Blurr, how did she close the door? Or perhaps, she should wait for him to close it for her. Drift had done that.
This riding in a vehicle that was actually a living being was.. it was hard to get used to. Saber was unsure she'd ever fully adapt to the idea. Of course, the knight made sure to do up her seatbelt.
So do it.~ I thought it could help :D Plus, he got a niiiice interior
It was normal for those Cybertronians who took passengers to never have them sit on the driver's seat, since they wouldn't be driving at all. Blurr appreciated how she asked to sit on the passenger's seat without him having to tell her. He closed the door a few second later, noticing her hesitation.
"Perhaps this will help...think about me as riding a horse. A living creature, but also a way of transportation. Of course, if you wanted to sit on my roof instead of inside I won't complain." There was a distinctive teasing tone in his voice. As long as you didn't touch the spike there, please." He added, just in case.

Driving for Saber was relaxing, so she was assuming it was for Blurr, too. How could one not enjoy driving?
"..Did you want to talk about anything regarding your work?"
The knight cut right to the chase. Perhaps he had something on his mind he wanted to talk about first. Although not much for small talk, Saber could easily be concerned with going ons in the police force since she was also a part of it. And Blurr rarely complained or mentioned anything unless it was of major importance.
Looking out the side of the car, she waited for him to take off. The idea of simply just seeing the Haven for what it was was a comforting thought.

"Aong other things...I would lie if I said that I am not concerned about the recent conflict with Megatronus and our Police Force group. It looks like our views on what's Justice is far different from what he considers fair and it scares me that this could lead to a violent conflict."
If someone could understand his frustration, Blurr thought, that would be Saber. She had a deep, clear concept of Justice and what was wright or wrong. "Bad communication and abuse of power is what started the Great War in my world."
The car took a turn to the left, heading to some distant mountains. The sun was starting to set but they still had a few hours before it was too dark.

It's not that Blurr did a poor job of telling his joke, just that Saber wasn't the most joking type and.. had quite strange views on things at times.
"..Yes, the Megatronus Prime incident," the knight started, looking down at the folded and gauntleted hands in her lap as she spoke, "left me quite confused. I believe that ultimately when law is decided and held, none should be above it. I also do not understand why they approved of our law committee and police force if we are not to use it as it should be used. That causes loopholes and double standards.."
If they wanted to input a step where someone's Firstforged could intervene first, then it would have to be for all of them.. not just Megatronus. But why have the police force, in the first place?
"Police are something of a new idea to me. I understand that police do and why they exist, but it is not exactly similar to the ruling systems I am used to from my times. It also doesn't help that I am still learning about Cybertronians. I didn't say much in worry that I was too ignorant to truly understand the situation."
no subject
"Megatronus doesn't seems to be the follow the law type, his way to solve a conflict it to punch it on the face until it stops moving. I AM AFRAID it's his nature to be like that. I thought about bringing the issue to the rest of the FirstForged but..."
He trailed off, unsure. Megatronus was their brother, if they had to pick between a group of strangers and him Blurr was sure nothing will end well for the refugees here.
"Could you tell me more about your ruling system? I am interested."
no subject
Absolute monarchy. Arturia Pendragon had ruled in such a position for ten years, with her knights and others advising her.
"Of course, there is the high chance of corruption in a monarchy. I never allowed that to happen. Others sometimes did act outside of my wishes. They were dealt with."
The knight pauses for another few moments before speaking again.
"During my reign, there were few major concerns with the state of the country when it came to the king and the law. We were in constant battles, and the main concern was food, shelter, and the threat of constant attacks."
no subject
Blurr sped up a bit more as he thought about what he wanted to say, the Haven was already hard to spot in the distance. "It seems like you need a special sort of people to be King. I think that's what Optimus Prime seems to be for some of my people. In mine, we had the Autobot High Council that's ultimately leaded by Ultra Magnus. It's sad to see how wars are such a common thing among all universes."
How did they end talking about such distressing subject? Blurr shouldn't have asked her, 30 minutes and he was already ruining their date. "T-that's why we should take advantage of peaceful moments like this one, right?!
no subject
Saber didn't find discussing politics to be depressing. But if the conversation became anymore personal about her particular rule, she may become disheartened.
"..Truth be told, it's hard to not speak of something distressing at the moment. Vandal and Wing are missing, and .. Sissel has been gone for quite some time. I am glad that I had the work on the storehouse to keep me busy.."
no subject
He knew it was hard for her, she had mentioned that before and that was why Blurr tried to change the subject. Talking about missing friend was something that worried him as well.
"How is it going? There's still so much to do. IF you need any sort of help you know you'll always have me around to give you a hand."
He meant that almost in a literal way. Blurr was one of those few who wanted to stay in this Cybertron. Not because he didn't miss his homeworld, but because there was nothing there for him.
To empathize his words, he let his engine rumble and the car seat vibrated. He knew that some humans enjoyed the vibrations, or found them funny, and Blurr wanted to make Saber smile a bit.
no subject
As she felt the vibrations of the seat beneath her, she went quiet and her eyes went wide. Oh?
"Oh, I see," she hummed softly, realizing he was attempting to lighten up the mood. "I apologize for being a downer. How are you enjoying working in the police force, but no longer being in charge?"
This was a more positive conversation, or so she thought. At least, Blurr wouldn't be so stressed anymore.
no subject
So, she didn't mind those? Good, Blurr was worried that it would irritate her instead of amuse her. "Oh no no NO no no you are not. Do not worry Saber."
It took Blurr a moment to reply the question, he was thinking it over.
"I miss it, sometimes. Mostly when I want to take care of some trouble but I find myself limited. At the same time now I feel much more comfortable in my new position. In my world Magnus was the one in charge and he made us all feel safe. He was stoic too but a fair leader."
no subject
"I'm glad you like your new position. You seem happier."
Saber hadn't known Blurr long, but she had known him somewhat when he lead the Police Force. And compared to then, he seemed much more spirited now.
Looking out the side window, Saber began to wonder where they were going. They were quite far from the Haven. The knight had been told about the Badlands by Wing, and had also seen it when answering Megatronus' call for help.
The reminder of Wing made her grimace a bit awkwardly as she hung her head for a moment, but then it disappeared.

"The first months in this new planet were a bit hard to deal with, specially with all the pain and death Prism and Overlord caused." Blurr still held himself responsible for most of those event, feeling he could have done more to protect people. "But know I'm learning to enjoy myself more and also enjoy the little things...like going out for a ride with a good friend."
They were getting closer and closer to a giant mountain, but Blurr knew exactly how far they were from the Haven, how much time it will take them to get back. It was an ability that he gained one day, suddenly, not much after his glyph became brighter.
"Only 3 minutes and 45 seconds more and we will be there, I promise."
no subject
The knight remained quiet as Blurr spoke of Prism and Overlord. She had heard Overlord several times, and was wondering if she should be glad she was not here for the events that went on when he was on Cybertron.
"I'm glad; you deserve to enjoy even if just the small things for the work you do."
3 minutes and 45 seconds? Saber didn't mind terribly. Just.. riding while being able to relax was pleasant.
no subject
"Thanks, Saber." The car engine rumbled again, as if to show he would be smiling if he were in his robot mode. Blurr slowed down eventually until he stopped by a rocky terrain, right in front of the mountain, and opened the passenger's door.
"We are almost there but we still have to walk for a bit. Not for too long I PROMISE."
no subject
Undoing her seat-belt, the knight lifted herself out of the vehicle and stepped away somewhat to give Blurr room for when he transformed back. A quick turn of her hips caused her dress to sway around her, straightening it out in the process.
"I've always been one to enjoy a walk."
no subject
"Ahhh it feels good to transform. " He hoped Saber didn't mind him stretching for a second, hands going to his shins as he leaned down. He needed his joins loose.
Blur got an interesting view of Saber's dress from that position."I'm actually a fan of anything that involves movement". He replied, looking at her between his legs before straightening up. "We need to go that way, to the left, until we find the entrance of a cave."
no subject
She wasn't disappointed, not by far, as the knight was easily made curious by such things. Maybe Blurr was just the type of person to appreciate caves?
no subject
It wasn't just a simple cave. It was a yet to be exploit energon mine and it was filled with blue and pink-ish crystals; and shiny minerals that covered the walls and part of the ceiling. That couldn't be seen immediately, on entering they had to walk down a dark corridor leading to a gallery, huge even for Cybertronian's standards.
At the far end of the gallery, sunlight could be seen coming from a wide hole in the rock. The light was refracted on the crystals, spreading colors everywhere and making the place shine.
i'm assuming for now what they can see is the second pic. not the first yet?
And the knight would be glad she did. When they came to the stream and she was able to finally notice the light coming from around the bend, Saber paused. And then she could see down the other direction and see the wide, open room. This was obviously made from the rock by someone, and Saber couldn't help but be curious.
"Do you know.. what this is?" she asked, beginning to tread across the stream carefully as she lifted her dress to do so. The water wasn't moving quickly, but it made a pleasant sound against her armored boots.
The natural lighting and the rock formations were quite breath-taking.
Yes, that's right. I just wanted to explain it so you knew what to expect :3
Blurr fidgeted being her as he followed Saber. He hopes that the girl would like the patters the light created on the cave's walls and didn't find it boring instead.
"It's a mine, probably one of the many that are scattered all around the planet. I found it while I was looking for possible organic food. Butheresmortosee."
totally a-okay. i know you haven't been well.
When they were across the water and further in, Saber hung back a few moments to allow Blurr to take the lead.
"Please, lead the way, then."
Saber simply hoped he'd walk a bit slower not only for her smaller stature, but also so she could look around.
Thanks. It's hard to focus right now.
