WHO: Saber and Blurr
WHERE: Starting at the Haven, then quite far away from it

After thinking about it for some time, Blurr had decided where he wanted to take Saber for a drive. It was quite far away from the Haven, but not too close to the Badlands, and he knew she wanted to travel that far away.

He had many things on his mind right now, all the sudden disappearances and those strange phantoms Wing talked about, but he was waiting forward their meeting. Blurr always felt more at ease next to her.

He waited outside the temple, listening to some music he recorded from the radio when he was in Detroit.

"A cave, yes." He did expect disappointment or some complain but he revealed no more. Instead, Blurr just waked behind her until they found the entrance.

It wasn't just a simple cave. It was a yet to be exploit energon mine and it was filled with blue and pink-ish crystals; and shiny minerals that covered the walls and part of the ceiling. That couldn't be seen immediately, on entering they had to walk down a dark corridor leading to a gallery, huge even for Cybertronian's standards.

At the far end of the gallery, sunlight could be seen coming from a wide hole in the rock. The light was refracted on the crystals, spreading colors everywhere and making the place shine.

i'm assuming for now what they can see is the second pic. not the first yet?

Saber remained quiet while they walked down the large corridor. For some reason, the cave seemed important. She kept her 'complaints' for now.

And the knight would be glad she did. When they came to the stream and she was able to finally notice the light coming from around the bend, Saber paused. And then she could see down the other direction and see the wide, open room. This was obviously made from the rock by someone, and Saber couldn't help but be curious.

"Do you know.. what this is?" she asked, beginning to tread across the stream carefully as she lifted her dress to do so. The water wasn't moving quickly, but it made a pleasant sound against her armored boots.

The natural lighting and the rock formations were quite breath-taking.

Yes, that's right. I just wanted to explain it so you knew what to expect :3

[ooc. sorry for the slow replies. i got my wisdom teeth removed and I'm not feeling so well.]

Blurr fidgeted being her as he followed Saber. He hopes that the girl would like the patters the light created on the cave's walls and didn't find it boring instead.

"It's a mine, probably one of the many that are scattered all around the planet. _{I found it} while I was looking for possible organic food. Butheresmortosee."

totally a-okay. i know you haven't been well.

"I see. It's quite fascinating," the knight admitted. The lighting was spectacular. She hadn't seen anything quite like this.

When they were across the water and further in, Saber hung back a few moments to allow Blurr to take the lead.

"Please, lead the way, then."

Saber simply hoped he'd walk a bit slower not only for her smaller stature, but also so she could look around.

Thanks. It's hard to focus right now.

The racer smiled brightly, pleased with her reaction. "As you wish."

She really seemed to enjoy the cave and, while it was unnatural for him, Blurr had no problems with walking at slower pace. "Most of the cry-s-tals are raw energon but not all of them. _{I can identify} a few that are carbon based."

If Saber looked at the crystals closely she could be able to see a few gemstones and perhaps diamond-like pieces. Blurr didn't think those were as important as the energon crystals because they couldn't be turned into a source of energy for Cybertronian, but he liked the way they shinned under the light.

Saber would stop more often for gemstones and diamonds than the energon itself, but that was because it was familiar. Diamonds and rubies and jades.. they were both stones that she associated with her family and her rule.

Even when the knight did stop, it wasn't for more than a few seconds. She wished not to hold back Blurr at a slower pace than necessary.

"You say there is more to see; what else could there possibly be?"

Normally Saber was the patient type, so her even bothering to ask showed all the more she was enjoying herself and maybe even quite excited about the idea that there was something maybe even more impressive to see.

Looking over his shoulder from time to time, Blurr studied Saber's reactions to know what interested her more, trying to figure out the reasons.

"It's just a few meters away, I promise." True to his word, after some more walking they reached the wider gallery of the cave. The timing was almost perfect and they arrived when the sun was setting in the horizon.

The rays of light that entered the cave and hit the crystals were reflected or distorted all around them, filling it with lights of different colors.

"Which.. Firstforged's sector are we closest to?"

Admittedly, Saber had lost track of their location when they were traveling so quickly. It didn't help that she had been focusing on their conversation instead of her surroundings, which was a rare occurrence.

Saber wanted to document this in her mind, as she was thankful for both the sights and Blurr's thoughtfulness about bringing her here.

Moving in front of Blurr, the knight put her hand to the tip of a crystal that was a part of a cluster. As she touched it, there was a gentle hum in response from the vibrations she had created. Withdrawing her hand in concern of harming the cluster, she continued to look around.

The only complaint she could possibly have was that since it was dim and wet, it was a bit chilly in there. Even then, that was a small price to pay for such a treat for the eyes.

"Near the _{westernmost edges} of Solus's Quadrant. I can send you a proper map through the comm link if you ever want to visit again."

Blurr had the advantage of his glyph. It got brighter a few months ago and since then he's been always aware of where he is and how much time it would take him to arrive to a different location. He never got lost, not anymore.

He looked at the girl with a soft smile adoring his features. "I know is nothing too impressive but I thought that perhaps you would like to see this."

"Oh, no. I appreciate this much more than other options we would have had."

Saber wasn't much of a socializing person, so simply going somewhere like the Haven's Hub bar wouldn't have done much for her.

Lifting her dress as they made their way along the stream, Saber remained quiet. The King of Knights kind of wished she had more to say, but there was little to say in response to the sights. It was best just to absorb them.

"I do feel a bit regretful this is not your first time experiencing this.."

It seemed she was getting more out of it.

Blurr is at the bar when he's working or when he needs to cheer up someone, drinking for the sake of it doesn't do much for him either and he wanted this to be special.

"Sorryaboutthedirt." Blurr followed her and leaned over, stopping before he grabbed the back of her dress between his fingers and lifted it. He remembered the time he did that to Quorra and she yelled at him. Blurr immediately moved his hand away and straightened.

"Eh...Sorry. It's not my first time _{here but} it's the first time ^{I did something like} this, going out with someone. WellnoIwentoutwithpeopelbut..not like this...as in..you know...asinadate.."

i'm super sorry, but how tall is blurr again. x_x compared to saber?

Saber had stopped momentarily to look over her shoulder when he picked up her dress, but since he hadn't lifted it beyond seeing the bottom of her bloomers beneath.. she thought little of it. Especially since Blurr had corrected himself so quickly.

That's right, Blurr had been kind of confused about clothing. It seemed all Cybertronians were. So, Saber didn't mention the dress or show any anger towards the movement. He apparently knew he had done something inappropriate.

When he began to talk quickly, Saber recognized he may be slightly anxious about something and matched his pace to walk beside him again.

"A date?" she asked, sounding a bit surprised. Not.. shocked, but as if she was unaware. No, this.. could very well seem like a date. Saber wasn't ignorant to the idea of courting, but she had simply never done it. "When I asked you if you wanted to go for a drive one night.."

The knight tilts her head and smiles softly. Perhaps, with other people, she may be slightly offended they would feel this was a date. Reason had no reason to feel this way towards Blurr. After all.. it could very well had been taken she was asking 'him out' from her wording.

"It wasn't meant to be a date, but rather, be spending time together. However.. if you want to see this as a date, I would not be opposed. I'd like to mutually agree, is all."

So, to Saber, this could very well be a date. If.. both of them agreed it was. Saber was very matter-of-fact when it came to near anything, and her relationships were no different. If this was a date, she wanted both of them to see it that way.

"That does sound better than simply two friends going out to enjoy themselves, does it not..?" she pondered. Saber was more whimsical tonight than she usually was, content with the work that had been done on the storehouse and her regained motorcycle.

Pff it's okay I forget all the time too. Blur's 4 meters, give or take.

He still felt like he was stepping on boundaries and looked rather sheepish. Thankfully for him, Saber didn't get mad like Quorra did. He was also wondering about what she wore underneath the dress. When he was human and she brought him clothes those weren't that pretty or airy.

"Oh." He looked confused and then he stopped walking. It seems like he assumed too much. Blurr should have known better, after all they weren't even from the same species.

He wondered if saber was agreeing just to not make him feel bad or if she really didn't mind.

"I..It does." He smiled, trying to mask his worries.

The sun was finally setting and the cave was getting darker as time went by.

so he's not quite 3x her height. dang! and aw, no, blurr. ;_;

As Blurr stopped walking, so did she. The knight looked up towards him and then spoke.

"Hm, have I .. said something wrong?" Saber voiced, mostly thinking to herself. "I truly don't mind if you want to agree this is a date. I think I would like to, even. I simply don't appreciate the idea of one-sided situations so I want to agree if it is .. if this is a date.. I apologize if I am being awkward. This is.. incredibly new to me."

Saber looked down at her hands as she clasped them together, the armor echoing gently inside of the cavern. The idea that maybe she could think it was a date and he did not or vice versa.. that'd cause misunderstanding and that was not what Saber wanted to happen with Blurr.

"I value your friendship too much to risk anything due to misunderstanding."

She then looked back up at him as she vocalized the reason she was approaching the idea of it being a date as she was.

He's a short bot, considering his species. Sorry, he's very self conscious after what happened >:

"No,no, no...nothing wrong." Blurr quickly reassured her, waving his hands. "This sort of things are new to me as well, I didn't want to impose..." He relaxed slightly, lowering his arms. When he replied, his smile was more sincere.

"Your friendships is really important to me too, Saber. I don't want to lose you ^{because of an absurd misunderstanding} either. You are a really especial person in my life."

He won't bring up the word 'date' again, though, just in case it caused more trouble in the future. He never did it with Wheeljack because the mech didn't like compromise. Blurr could live wit that.

"You must be cold." The racer pointed out, looking around them. "And it's getting dark. Do you want to get out of the cave? It might still be a bit cold outside but far less humid and we could watch the stars."

"You are not imposing," Saber returned, putting a hand on her hip. Although she looked cross.. and maybe was, her voice was still mostly gentle. "Since you thought this was a date and I do not mind it being a date, we are now officially announcing this is a date. Do you understand, Blurr?"

With that, Saber's face softened and her hand dropped from her hip.

"Yes, let's go watch the stars. That sounds pleasant."

Blurr had no room for argument. He said he thought this was a date, and now she was agreeing it was. So it was a date, no questions asked.

Waiting patiently, she looked to him as she waited for him to lead the way out.

He was silent for a few seconds, staring at the petite woman in front of him. It looked so fragile but he knew she was far away from weak. Slowly, another smile appeared on his face. A real smile this time.

"I understand. It's a date, then." He nodded and then turned on the headlight of his shoulders. "This will _{help you to} see better, there's rocks everywhere and you could trip."

He would catch Saber if that happened, but more light was better, just in case. Blurr started to walk, paying attention to the walls until he found the gemstones she looked at when they first arrived to the cave. "You liked those?"

"Ah," she paused as she looked at the gemstones closely. Blurr noticed her looking, did he? Gemstones.. such rare stones that were worth so much. If anything, Saber thought they symbolized selfishness. "..Such stones have history to humans as being symbols of wealth. As a member of royalty, I am quite familiar with them. This clear one, in particular.."

Saber pointed to a diamond.

"Is worth a considerable amount. In fact, it's strange to me to even see this displayed so plainly here. It's called a diamond. It's known to be the strongest natural material on Earth. ..My Earth, that is."

She.. was unsure about these Cybertronians and their own worlds.

Blurr might not look like it because he was often a nervous little robot, but he noticed a lot of things. He was a secret agent, paying attention to possible important details were kind of his his thing.

"Hm. I see. It's not valuable to us because my race focus more on improving our fighting capacities than our looks. My race always had, sadly, a penchant for violence." It was not something Blurr was proud of, but there was no denying the truth. Even during peaceful times, Cybertronians enjoyed sparring and measuring their forces.

Blurr stared at the gemstone for a few seconds before reaching out and pulling it out of the rock. It looked fragile on his hand, like a mere crystal, but he believed her if she said it was the strongest material on her planet. And the way ir reflected the light...it still needed soem polishing but it was beautiful. He smiled as he offered it to Saber.

"You should keep it. It could remind you of home and I think...I think it fits you. It's strong and beautiful, like you."

Saber accepted the diamond and looked to Blurr as he held out his hand.

"Oh," the knight stated, tilting her head. His compliment caused her facial expressions to soften. "I appreciate it. I will keep it."

Really, on Cybertron, the diamond held no value now that she knew. It was more valuable that Blurr had gone through the effort of plucking it from the cavern wall for her, though. Saber was unsure if she would have been able to pull it off the wall by herself.

Holding the rock in her hand, she then looked up at Blurr.

"Please, lead the way. I assume you know of a spot with a good view to watch the skies..?"

Blurr nodded as their fingers brushed, still smiling. He might not be the strongest bot out there but he wanted her to keep the gemstone.

"I do, it's up the mountain." He started to walk, making sure there was enough light for Saber to see where she was stepping. Once they were outside he turned to face the girl again. "I can carry you up if you are tired of walking or you don't want to get dirt on your clothes."

Saber listened to Blurr's offer, but had to politely turn it down. Saber simply had a bit too much pride. Also, surely the climb wouldn't be that.. bad..?

"I shall be fine, Blurr. Thank you. I.. will let you know if I happen to change my mind."

Saber didn't want to shoot herself in the foot. Mountain climbing was not something she was familiar with, but she'd prefer to try on her own first.

Is not as much of a walk as walking up a mountain as the sun disappeared in the horizon. One made of metals that can be a bit rusty in some areas.

"If you are sure then. Isthatway." He pointed to the left, knowing the path was more flat than other ways and look over his shoulder from time to time to be sure Saber had no problem following him.

Saber was, luckily, agile. Even if there were spots that someone would have trouble climbing up due to height, she would simply jump upwards. She could easily span large distances by jumping that many humans couldn't, so climbing up a mountain path was not a difficult task for her.

When Blurr looked back at her, she would make eye contact and either smile softly or nod in a confirming way to let him know she was okay.

He was surprised by her agility and Blurr had to remind himself a few times that organics always knew how to adapt well to new situations. He smiled back all those times and by the time they reached the peak it was dark night. The surface of the mountain was less rocky and more flat there, the sky was so clear that Cybertron's moon could be seen easily.

"There we are. Breathtaking, hm? Ah..if I had to breath, that's it."
