WHAT: A certain fuzzy feline is getting the lay of the land from a much shorter perspective.

Skids - or the thing that had been Skids - had been chasing him around the Junk Pile until something happened that Barricade just couldn't sort out. Not for a while, anyway, until he was able to get a look at himself. Not human, so...

Wait. Fur? Oh scrap.


[The Junk Pile]
First things first is finding some kind of food, and that means sticking around the Junk Pile for a while. So a little black and white cat might be visible, hopping and skittering gingerly along debris, occasionally tripping and yowling in protest. These legs don't work like any he's used to and there's too many of them and he can't get his tail to hold still to counterbalance. Why are there so many limbs.


[Solus's Quadrant]
Eventually he manages to dig out food that isn't in a can and figures out how to eat it. He even tumbles his way ungracefully out of the Junk Pile in his own FirstForged's quadrant. Good enough for him! He trots along through the area, carefully avoiding the hotter spots until he finds the crystal forest on the border. And then... for no reason he can sort out, up one of the trees he goes. Without any idea of how to get out of it.


[Alpha Trion's Quadrant]
One way or another, he extracts himself and continues on, finally having gotten the hang of his limbs and his ears. At least his senses aren't quite so diminished as when Barricade has been human; there was something comfortable about that. Still, even he gets thirsty, and the easiest place to find water is the lake. Once he gets across the quadrants to the lake, he crouches down and dabs a paw into the water cautiously, jerking it out and shaking it with a meow. Okay, that's not so awesome. Maybe there's some easier way to do it...

[Knock Out how did you end up as a female. Clearly the Lambda was more capricious than even the omnipotent jailers in the other places he'd been stuck. He very carefully sits down, straightening up to look a little taller.] Barricade.

[KO got a female body, that doesn't make him female. Kinda the same way as how being a cat doesn't make Barricade a real cat. Aside form that, Ko is pretty sexy. Ko thinks that male humans bodies are disguising, so she's not complaining about the lambdas's choice of gender.]

Barricade. What, seriously? [Oh Primus, this is golden.] You look.....adorable.

[Well, he'd hardly complain about Knock Out's current body. It rather hot for a dirty human... wait, what? Adorable. And the one time he's not exactly going for that, at that. How does this end up happening.

He cocks his head, whiskers splaying forward.] Thanks?

[She noticed the way McCoy and otehr keep staring at the kibbles on her front, it amuses KO.]

You are welcome. [You are also getting your ears scratched, Barricade. This made Blitzwing!Cerberus happy, she wants tot see if it happens the same with cats.]Shouldn't you be in the temple?

[Oh, now that is lovely. Barricade purrs loudly, temporarily distracted from responding. alskdjfklsj petting.]

I changed out here. Figured I should try to find some food before I leave.

[If only he could find something that isn't canned. DX]

[KO is quickly leaning how to manipulate others while in this body. You either walk around topless or scratch their ears. It always seems to work, one way or the other.

Scratch Scratch Scratch. ] All the good organic food is in the pantry, 'Cade.

[Barricade has a pretty big weakness to petting regardless if body. Just the spots are different from body to body.

PrrrrRRRRRrrrrr.] I can't get into most of it.

[That's a really interesting thing and he should totally tell KO once he's back to normal.

She moves her hand away suddenly, surprised.] ...what was that sound? [Blitzwing didn't purr. HOW DO YOU CAT?]

[He might mention it. But KO will have to find those spots himself; Barricade won't take that bit of fun out of it.]

It's purring. Cats do it. [Hey wait, bring your hand back. Well, Knock Out is crouching, so Barricade takes the opportunity to put his front paws on her knee.] You've never heard it before?

[Normal KO will definitely enjoy doing that.]

Oh right. I knew that. [Except not really, is that so obvious?] Do you think that I spent my time on Earth petting cats?

[She's back to scratching Barricade again, there, enjoy.]

[Excellent. Barricade does enjoy someone being up for playing a bit.]

Mm, maybe you should have. I hear it's very soothing.

[Like the deep rumble of his renewed purring. He leans his head up into Knock Out's hand, half-closing his eyes.]

[Where's the fun on simple and easy things? Nowhere.]

Is it? [She likes that sound, it's sorta funny. Ko sits down, moves her hands around Barricade and pull him onto her lap.]

Prrt! [He swishes his tail, settling into Knock Out's lap and going back to purring. He's quite happy to curl up and stay here for a while.]

So how has all this worked out for you?

[deadlydoctor]

[Ko makes herself comfortable on the ground, scratching Barricade's ears.] All this is a pain in the aft. Human bodies are so useless. I can't use my medical tools because I have them no more.

And talking about that...don't you think it's an ill idea to keep all our medics in the same place?

[Barricade bumps up into Ko's hand again, closing his eyes and purring.] There are worse bodies to be stuck in, believe me. At least humans have guns to defend themselves with.

Pretty bad idea to keep us all in one spot, yeah. You have something in mind?

Guess so. I could be an insecticon. [She makes a a really disgusted face this time.] Then again, that wouldn't last long because I would offline myself.

I do, in fact. And I got Solus's permission. I'm organizing a new clinic on the other side of the temple, with some help from Shockwaves's droids. My droids now, I need to repaint them. [Because they look so plain now.]

I was thinking I need a business partner. [She scratches Barricade's ears more eagerly.]

Afraid I ain't overly familiar with insecticons so I can't speak to your sentiment. [Barricade's universe was rather lacking in them.]

Droids hu- mmmm... [Knock Out, you scoundrel. Plying him with ear-scratches. How dare you you incredibly intelligent person.]

And you thought t'ask me first, did you~?

Consider yourself Lucky, theyr'e mindless, disgusting creatures. Very beast-like in nature, even if they're good fighters due to their brute force.

Uh hum...[She knows what cards to play to win.] You have many talents that could certainly be put to good used. And I believe that we work well together.

Well. Wouldn't be too difficult t'handle, probably. Once you know how to deal with them. [A few good murders.]

We have, haven't we? Mm, and I never have worked out of a clinic before. Could be interesting.

They're not as easy to defeat. One of them almost killed Megatron. [Oh she knows how you think.

Knock Out raises up the cat so they're face to face.] Is that a yes, then?

My. Pretty good for average troops. That'd require a bit of doing. [By which he means cataloguing their general fighting style and developing counters to them.

Barricade swishes his tail, hanging in Knock Out's grip.] It is.

I'm not sure if you can call them average either. If one shows up here you are free to have fun with it. [Knock Out dislikes those beast so much.]

[You get a kiss on your kitty nose now, Cade. Knock Out never had his own clinic before but she really wanted to try this.]

Good; I love a challenge. And I c'n fix myself afterwards if I have to, even.

[Barricade's whiskers flick back and then twitch, and after a moment... he leans forward and licks Knock Out's nose.]

Just don't die, I already told you I need a partner. [Really, is not like she cares or anything. >_>]

Ah...[She wasn't expecting that. it tickles and it makes her scrunch up her nose and laugh. Knock Out puts Barricades down and keeps scratching his head.]It's settled then.

Luckily for you, I'm incredibly difficult to kill. No one's managed it yet. [Maiming, on the other hand...]

[Hey. You kiss him, he licks you. It's close enough. Barricade settles back down, purring loudly.] Sounds like a deal. Should be fun.
