Intrepid explorers!
WHO: Blurr and Cliffjumper
WHERE: Out in the wilderness, in a building they've found.
WHEN: Now~
WHAT: ADVENTURE. Exploring! TRAPS. So many traps.
WARNINGS: Nothing, really.
The structure had looked like a heap of boulders or a small hill at first, but when they got closer it was obvious it wasn't. Question was just what a building, especially a somewhat disguised one was doing out here in the middle of the literal nowhere.
Frowning as he landed from having had a look from the top, Cliffjumper shrugged.
"Either it ain't too big, or it might go down underground." It might be bigger inside, otherwise it couldn't hold more than at the most three rooms, maybe. Three kind of small rooms for someone of average size, three average rooms for someone his and Blurr's size.
"... So, what'd we do?" He couldn't help the scowl as he eyed the rather well-disguised entrance. He just didn't trust this situation, the building, whatever might be inside... but he also didn't feel it safe to just leave the building without having checked said inside.

It gave Blurr a bad feeling too. However they couldn't leave and ignore it like they never saw it. What if something important was there? The problem was that perhaps something bad could be in there too. But if that was the case, that bad 'something' could scape one day and put people in danger.
"None of us ever liked to run away."
no subject
"Yeah. And it doesn't look too bad. Maybe someone was a hermit," Cliffjumper said with a sharp smile, not really believing his own words, joke or not. But at least the building didn't look like the rusting maw of a cave in which monsters lurked...
Frowning at that thought, Cliffjumper shrugged and stomped up to the door.
"So, see if we can get this thing open?"
Better sorry now than safe for the moment, especially if the alternative was safe for now and doubly sorry later, even if that's not how the saying went.
no subject
"An hermit, uhm? Maybe this is where the FirstForged who doen't interact with us are hiding. I heard them talk to Vector once through the comm link." He was not sure if this was going to be a good idea or not, but curiosity won. "I must have some sort of entrance somewhere."
no subject
"Yeah, saw that too. Though, don't ya think they'd be closer to the Haven? I mean, at least seven temples out of... uh, thirteen? I don't remember. Anyway, a lot of them are over there..." Another kick, and then Cliffjumper turned around to face Blurr again, gesturing at the probable-door behind him.
"If it's here, we can look for some sort of control, or I get a bomb out." Cliffjumper grinned, unrepentant. Yes, he'd kept his supplies for making bombs.
no subject
Blurr stared at the possible door and then poked Cliffjumper in the arm. "No bombs for now. If there's a room then there must be a key to open it let's see if we can find the controls. I could hack them. Probably."
The racer stared at the door some more and then if occurred to him that it looked like a very antique door and the older creatures in this world were all much, much taller than them. He raised his head and then he pointed up with a finger.
"Uh...Cliff, I think I found the controls."
gonna have to destroy his jetpack somewhere in there... :D
Looking up from where he'd been poking around the other end of the door, Cliffjumper grimaced. Firstforged or some othe refugee, whoever had made this place had obviously been (a lot) taller than them.
"Figures. Well," said Cliffjumper with a snort as he wandered over and frowned up. "If ya really wanna try hackin' it or just tapping the controls first, gonna have to get you up there."
With a shrug, Cliffjumper let the externally situated jetpack - his old one for now, that had seemed smarter for some reason - unfold and he lifted off the ground, hooking Blurr under the arms.
"Luckily, we can cheat."
Ahahaha yessss ....in the first trap X3
"Yeah, I figured that on my own, Cliff." There was the little hint of sarcasm in that reply. Just a little, really. Blurr smiled when he saw the jetpack and made a small noise of surprise when he was held up. "It was a good idea to bring that thing... Just don't drop me, please"
CLEARLY :3
"Hey, you ain't that heavy, and I wield weapons larger than you. Anyway, it's not as if we're goin' far up or anything... Here we go." Tongue caught between his teeth as he carefully maneuvered them close to the wall and the door controls, partly hidden by a rocky overhang and probably deliberate tarnish, Cliffjumper stopped before Blurr got mashed into the side, but close enough to reach it.
Poor boys
Pushing only a few buttons at first Blurr tested the reactions of the machine and then he started to work on it. His fingers moved over the keys at an speed that was almost impossible to follow. From time to time certain 'beep' and 'bbz bzz' and each time Blurr frowned and typed even faster.
"Comeoncomeon..."
Well, otherwise things would be too easy~
"You sure we shouldn't try a bomb or somethin'..." Cliffjumper trailed off, gaze flickering from looking down at the top of Blurr's helm and his (heh) blurry hands to the door, optics narrowing as there was a low, grinding sound.
"Hey, Blurr."
Okay, maybe a bomb wouldn't be necessary. Barely.
And we can't have that. Not at all.
Of course nooot~
"Right..." Eyeing the dark hole the open doorway had become, Cliffjumper snorted. "There better not be any undead cybertronians lurkin' in there, that's all I got to say 'bout this." He wasn't sure why he'd even said that, and the cold certainty of... something flittered away before the shadowed doorway as Cliffjumper crept closer and peeked in.
Not much to see from the doorway though, too much light falling in from behind.
Nope.
"Do undead Cybertronians show up often near you? Should I be worried?"
C8
That's fun to know, right?
"But, come on. Let's see what's in here. Hopefully it'll be empty." He'd have said more, but something compelled him not to. Maybe it was just all those times of things going to slag.
(`▽´)Ψ
He frowned for a second ans quickly his frown changed into a determined expression. "I can't let you go there all by yourself, can't I? You could blow up something."
no subject
As you do.
Nodding, Cliffjumper gave the doorway and the shadows beyond another suspicious frown, then shrugged and preceded Blurr inside.
No dust, of course, and it seemed the metal of the floor had been protected from the outside to remain free of tarnish, feet not catching on the smooth plates.
"Wonder if this place's got a light." It wasn't really a question, because if there was, there was probably no power to it, so a few steps in, Cliffjumper activated his headlights.
Unfortunately those were, of course, low to the floor since they were on his feet. But it became obvious, at least, as his optics adjusted, that the space beyond the doorway would probably take up nearly half the hill. Which meant the rest was underground, or this wouldn't take long.
no subject
Following Cliff, he turned on the headlights in his shoulder, giving them more light form another angle. "Someone was trying to compensate so-me-thing, I believe. such big place"
no subject
"Yeah. And... a lot more doors than... uh. Why the frag are there so many doors?" And that wasn't just on this level, looking around, with the light from their headlights and the light flooding in behind them through the door, it was clear there were doors further up on the walls as well.
A rather odd arrangement, really.
"I mean, the place can't be that big can it?" Cliffjumper huffed, having his own thoughts about what was being compensated for with all these doors as he took a few more steps inside and turned around on the spot, looking upwards and around the walls.
no subject
"I don't know. Could this be some sort of sto-re-ho-use?" Blurr narrowed his eyes, all that many doors in one single place, it almost seemed unreal. "It makes me wonder if we found Swindle's subspace."
Against better judgement, Blurr moved to the closest door and pushed, trying to open it.
no subject
"What, he carry more than should be possible---" Cliffjumper hadn't been looking at what Blurr was doing, besides to cast a glance over and wander over to another door himself, but he didn't get the chance to touch before Blurr pushed his door...
And that's when a low, grinding rumble reverberated through the room, and the door out slammed shut.
"Fraggin'---!" Whipping around, Cliffjumper ran back to the door, but it was, he was quite sure, too late for that.
no subject
"That...was faster than me." Blurr had the decency to look apologetic before looking slightly panicked. "Thee must be a way to open it again, no door opens from the outside only.
no subject
They just had a closed door. Well, many closed doors and he'd say they could try a bomb, but with this enclosed space it wasn't safe.
"Fraggin' great. I suppose we've got other doors to try..." Folding his arms over his chestplates, Cliffjumper glared and then kicked the door, completely missing the panic flickering on Blurr's faceplates.
no subject
Not this time.
He looked around the room with huge optics for several kliks, waiting for the walls to move. All the memories came back and Blurr curled in on himself as he remembered the walls closing in on him, the pain of it. He let go a small, pained sound and hot air was coming out from his vents in shorts bursts.
no subject
"Uh... Blurr?" Carefully laying a hand on the jutting shoulderguard, Cliffjumper didn't ask if he was okay or anything, because clearly he wasn't, but what else to ask he wasn't sure and was left mentally fumbling for it.
Compared to Sideswipe's little 'woe is me, I got your alternate killed simply because he followed me and was where he shouldn't be', this seemed to be a lot more... important.
(Or maybe he'd learned a bit more tact since then, but probably not.)
no subject
He appreciated Cliff's touch, but he needed a few more minutes to overcome his panic and anxiety. The tight sensation in the chest was increasing and he felt nauseous. Still, he owned Cliff an answer.
"...sorry."
