WHAT: Tree Decorating!

Well, Kay and Elita had done it. It took awhile, and surprisingly, all in one night, but they'd been able to grab branches from the large crystal trees that the pink robot had grown, and placed them all around Haven. Where, specifically? Outside the temples! Really, surprised no one noticed it. But to those who walk out of the them, they'll now notice a tree on either their right or left, empty, glittering, and with a note.

What could this mean? What's this? There's trees everywhere! What's this? And depending on what your alignment is/where you live, you'll get a different tree.

(ooc: I'll be putting comments up for each quadrant's tree. Comment under whichever one you'd like to react to/decorate/chat with people under. It's a huge mingle thread! Also, don't forget to put your tag in the log!

"In the junk. Near where I found Vandal's gift."

The bottle, basically. He doesn't mind her leaning, shifting his fingers to better support her there.

He nods, and, to the best of his ability, hangs the little bit of glass near her ornament.

"Perfect! The first two ornaments are always the most important, you know."

Actually she just made that up, but who's splitting hairs.

"Now for the rest of the tree!"

"I didn't know that..."

He has no way of knowing whether or not she's making something up. He stares down at her, at where she's curled against his chest.

And it amazes hm that someone like her could be so fond of something like him.

"Should I put you back down for that?"

"Nah, just pick whatever. I'll tell you where to put them, okay?

Okay! It's settled."

You could have at least given him the option.

His lips curl. It's a smile. A real smile.

"As you say."

And he will. He'll follow her direction to the letter.

It was so nice to see him smile. She wouldn't comment on it, because if she did, it always disappeared. And she wanted it kept on that face.

Because smiles? They did wonders for him.

"Okay, let's put one on the opposite side, okay? We gotta be symmetrical!"

Probably a good plan, Kay. He's somewhat self-conscious about the whole thing. Not being self-conscious requires having some kind of self-esteem. Which he doesn't.

"As you say," he says again. Though he doesn't stop smiling. He's humoring her, partially.

But... he really does like spending this time with her. Listening to her.

Whether he's humoring her or not, she's enjoying herself, telling him exactly where to put things on what branches, sometimes making him rearrange so other things could fit in a more Feng Shui layout.

Not that she knows Feng Shui, but...let's pretend.

"How's that look?"

And he's... honestly enjoying having her point him in a direction. It's better that way. When he knows exactly what he's doing.

"It looks perfect."

His smile brightens. Just a bit.

"You did well."

That brightens her face up as well, She pats Kagerous hand, making a 'shove' motion to the air.

"Let's back up and see how it looks! It always looks better when you're further away."

He nods, and takes several long steps backward, facing the tree as he does so. She's still held protectively, his hands still and frozen in place to keep from bouncing her around.

"What do you think?"

Kay leans back against him, smiling wide as she takes a look at the tree.

"Absolutely beautiful..."

"Because you decorated it."

He says it completely seriously. Yes, he's ignoring his own part, and yes, he knows that. It just doesn't matter.

Oh, she'll notice that, and elbows his chestplate.

"I had a lot of help...

Don't let me take all the credit, mister!"

Her elbow just goes thunk against the metal.

"I want you to have it..."

Right, because that totally makes sense, doesn't it?

"Oh, that's a dangerous game to play with a Master Thief, you know. "

Now she's just teasing you.

"If you're truly a thief... I have to arrest you."

He says it so straight-faced, too. One advantage of being so non-emotive, apparently, is a good poker face.

"!!"

Oh, look at that pout face you made her do.

"You wouldn't arrest me, Kagerou!"

"No?"

He... oh he can't help it. He starts smirking, regardless of the look on her face.

"I'm a member of the police force, now. We have to arrest thieves."

And then her jaw drops. Oh no, you wouldn't.

"Hey! I haven't even technically stole anything yet! You can't arrest me for that!"

She sees that smirk though, hiding her own behind her scarf.

"Then you'd better be on your best behavior, hm?"

This is probably the most he's smiled since forever. Minus the drunken night of bad decisions.

"What, you're gonna keep tabs on me?"

Despite the pout, her tone's pretty playful. If this is how these two play, it's incredibly adorable.

"Don't I already?"

Likewise, Kay. He can play this game with you. You... he thinks he understands.

"Not everywhere~"

Look at that playful little 'smack' to his face.

"No, not everywhere."

He allows that, shaking his head ever so slightly back and forth.
