What's December Without Christmas Eve? [Tree Decorating: OPEN]

WHO: Anyone and Everyone!
WHERE: Around various parts of Haven
WHEN: From now until what counts as 'New Years' for Cybertron (New Years Day for us?)
WHAT: Tree Decorating!
WARNINGS: Infinite cute and maybe tree eating

Well, Kay and Elita had done it. It took awhile, and surprisingly, all in one night, but they'd been able to grab branches from the large crystal trees that the pink robot had grown, and placed them all around Haven. Where, specifically? Outside the temples! Really, surprised no one noticed it.  But to those who walk out of the them, they'll now notice a tree on either their right or left, empty, glittering, and with a note.

What could this mean? What's this? There's trees everywhere! What's this? And depending on what your alignment is/where you live, you'll get a different tree.

(ooc: I'll be putting comments up for each quadrant's tree. Comment under whichever one you'd like to react to/decorate/chat with people under. It's a huge mingle thread! Also, don't forget to put your tag in the log!

Now what is this? A combination of the stitchpunk's flickering eyes and Shockwave having been searching the interconnected branches to begin with helped him spot Four rather quickly. There's a slow drift forward to get a better look, the red optic quickly fixing on his location.

He sees you, Four, and appears to be lifting the hovercraft in your direction. Here, it's right in your reach. Just hop inside. If he took a closer look though, he'll notice that Shockwave wasn't letting go of it just yet, no. He wants a good look before deciding whether or not to disregard this little discovery.

As far as Four was concerned, Shockwave was his saviour. He smiled brightly and jumped from the branch to his hovercraft. That Shockwave hadn't let go yet didn't particularly alarm him; he was used to robots being quite interested in him when they saw him. This was fine, Four liked examining them too.

Which was what he was doing right now. He flickered his eyes several times and immediately started cataloguing the one-eyed robot. If he felt uneasy about the giant glowing red eye, he didn't show it.

That hand pulls Four and the hovercraft up close to his optic, likewise intrigued by this tiny thing that he had found. Shockwave merely watches the doll as he records and moves about, making no attempt to contain or otherwise obstruct the odd behavior. Now what are you and what are you doing, exactly?

Someone as perceptive as Four would probably notice that they were moving, now. Step by step, he drifted farther away from the tree. It wasn't at any particularly brisk place, but Shockwave appears to be steadily going deeper into the quadrant.

Again, Four wasn't worried. He had not been in any real danger for a long time, so he didn't really suspect anything wrong here. The little stitchpunk wasn't about to stand here though, not when he could get much closer.

Quick and agile as can be, Four ran at Shockwave's arm and started scrambling up it. Shockwave had such an interesting face that he couldn't resist examining it closer!

And so he found Four suddenly, quite literally, mere inches away from his face - or optic, rather. That sure is a lot of red light shining in your direction. At least from this distance.

The arm holding the hovercraft lowers to his side as he feels something scurry up the joints and armor plating. Barring that, it didn't seem to phase Four's robotic host. He is intrigued enough to let the exploration continue, beginning to make his way towards one of the tunnels in the quadrants. Homely little things, really.

It probably wasn't that polite to just shove your face into someone else's, but Four liked to think that things were slightly different for him. Yes, he knew he was cute and he knew he could get away with things because of that. So he proceeded to shove his face right into the giant red optic and wave.

This giant robot did save him, so he gave the optic a tiny stitchpunk kiss as a way of saying thank you.

Shockwave doesn't appear to be bothered enough to stop Four, but there's no visible reaction to the little display of affection. To him, it was just more of the creature's intriguing behavior, if only because he was unfamiliar with human behavior and customs.

He continues back to his own quarters, stopping at the entrance to the outer portion of the lab he had made of it. The hovercraft was set down on the floor, and now a rather large silver hand is reaching over to pluck Four himself from his optic.

Well, that was fine by Four. The little stitchpunk leaned back and continued to examine Shockwave with an extremely avid interest. He eventually noticed that they were going somewhere, and automatically started mapping their location based on what he knew about the Haven already.

Being so used to being handled by creatures a thousand times his size, Four allowed himself to be picked up. What where they doing now? It sure looked interesting in here! He wanted to have a look everywhere, was he allowed?

Not that it mattered if he was allowed or not, he'd still look.

No Four. No.

He goes. You stay. No following.

The hand deposits Four a few feet away from his hovercraft before it and the rest of Shockwave's body shifts back to a straightened posture. This was all fine and intriguing, but he had to get back to his planned routine. Heavy, reverberating steps followed as he left the little doll behind and continued into his own abode.

If Four wanted, he could probably dash inside before the door slammed shut a few seconds after.

One cannot discourage Four that easily. With a determined expression, Four runs towards his hovercraft and instantly starts it up. He hopes that its as fast as Jetfire says it is, because it's going to be extremely close otherwise. He places both hands on the throttle and shoves it forward, causing the little craft to move, to him, at a very high speed. The door is closing fast and-

BOOM

Four makes it through JUST in time. A triumphant grin crosses his tiny face as he silently zooms after the Decepticon Scientist. Common sense says that this might be a bad idea, but his vast curiosity simply couldn't let this go. What happens will happen...

The interior was originally a bare rock cave at one point, though it is difficult to see it's original structure beneath the layers of machinery that had been carved and built into it. Despite the fact that all of the computers and equipment within the large cave had been constructed from salvaged items, the entire lair was quite well-organized. It may have well have been manufactured, though occasional flaws were left bare if there was no functional reason to cover them.

It's owner didn't seem to pay much attention to Four as he rushed inside, continuing deeper into the lair until they were probably quite some distance from the cold outside. The creature wanted to follow him? Fine. He wasn't about to interrupt his day to go on a snipe hunt.

Shockwave stops at a room warm with the constant hum of electronics, particularly in front of a monitor. There was a half constructed machine at a work bench, laid bare and connected to the mainframe itself via several cables. It was spherical and only about three feet in diameter - tiny to Cybertronians, and bursting with salvaged sensory equipment. The data he was going over onscreen seemed to be related to it.

I have no regrets

Four isn't shy, he invites himself in and has a look around. If Shockwave isn't going to kick him out then he takes that as permission to poke things. His eyes click and whirr like a tiny camera as he catalogues the interior with interest. It's a bit dark and a little unkempt, but Four likes it! Maybe with a light here and there it'll look a little more... welcoming. A little bit of colour wouldn't hurt either.

Not that Four plans to do any such thing of course.

Curious, Four watches Shockwave work for a few moments before concluding that whatever he's working on has something to do with that strange device on the workbench. He drives his hovercraft over and lands beside it, glancing cautiously up at Shockwave before inching close and poking at the device. Tiny optics click curiously as he edges even closer to have a better look at what's inside.

Fascinating!

The red optic drifts back to Four as he pokes at the node's shell, acknowledging the stitchpunk's existence, but not much else. Lights flicker to life and parts within the open chassis begin to move - better get any limbs out of there.

The screen begins to flood with data, though his attention remains fixed on the work bench. There's no harm in having the alien lurk in this particular case, considering it was merely sensory equipment he was handling, but it was an undesired link to the outside. The only concern he really had was it's connection to Jetfire as suggested by the hovercraft. It's clear the thing, as tiny as it was, had some form of intelligence.

Barring that, there really was no reason to obstruct nor assist it - as long as it didn't interfere with his tests. So he'd observe the thing for now, if out of some form of curiosity.

As long as no one was trying to stop him, Four was quite willing to continue this as long as he could. Four's optics flicker from the strange device to the screen. He tilts his head at the data scrolling by and watches it for almost a full minute. Being reasonably fluent in Cybertronian, he does recognize words and numbers as they fly past, but otherwise it makes no sense to him.
