What's December Without Christmas Eve? [Tree Decorating: OPEN]
WHO: Anyone and Everyone!
WHERE: Around various parts of Haven
WHEN: From now until what counts as 'New Years' for Cybertron (New Years Day for us?)
WHAT: Tree Decorating!
WARNINGS: Infinite cute and maybe tree eating
Well, Kay and Elita had done it. It took awhile, and surprisingly, all in one night, but they'd been able to grab branches from the large crystal trees that the pink robot had grown, and placed them all around Haven. Where, specifically? Outside the temples! Really, surprised no one noticed it. But to those who walk out of the them, they'll now notice a tree on either their right or left, empty, glittering, and with a note.

What could this mean? What's this? There's trees everywhere! What's this? And depending on what your alignment is/where you live, you'll get a different tree.
(ooc: I'll be putting comments up for each quadrant's tree. Comment under whichever one you'd like to react to/decorate/chat with people under. It's a huge mingle thread! Also, don't forget to put your tag in the log!

He never had immense patience for Earth and humans, and it seems kind of odd to bring those traditions here, but at the same time he gets it, given that the humans here are as displaced as they were while stuck on Earth.
If anything, he wouldn't be stuck just decorating the lower parts, or having to risk climbing it, since he could use his jetpack to get to the top. Not that the tree was too giant or anything, but still.

Oh right, Kay hadn't quite left just yet. The Vectorian Temple was a sight to see on it's own, and Kay couldn't help but take a look around after she'd put the tree in it's place. Well, not her specifically, but you get the picture. She sees Cliffjumper and...wow, you really remind her of someone. That face drops, thinking about how she hasn't had contact with the guy in awhile...
"Got anything to decorate it with, mister?"
no subject
"Uh. Not yet. Sure I could come up with somethin' though," Cliffjumper said with a grin and a shake of his helm, and any similarity Kay picked up on to someone else was... perfectly valid. Even if he's shorter.
"You're the responsible party?" Jerking a thumb back at the "tree", Cliffjumper can't help be somewhat impressed. Still, she must've had help given the size of it.
no subject
"Guilty as charged~" she hummed as she hid her mouth into her scarf. "Well, my idea. Miss Elita helped me move them."
That grin really did remind her of the other Cliffjumper. And it was a small little comfort for him being gone.
no subject
Cute.
Sort of reminded him of a younger Sephie.
"Well, if ya got these here all by yourself, I'd have to question if you had super powers or somethin'. Nice idea, though. Didn't know there were crystal trees 'round here." He cast a glance back and up at the tree and then back to Kay, taking a step or two closer to be able to offer his hand.
Bringing celebrations of holidays that didn't have any meaning to this planet or not, he could understand homesickness, especially during holidays like this, which had been amply displayed by the Link in the last few days.
"Let me guess, then, Kay, right? Cliffjumper." And then he snorted, shaking his helm. "Or the other one at any rate, since I know there was an alternate around..." Which hadn't really registered as weird at all, given all the slag he'd seen over the last few years.
no subject
"I actually had a bit of help! Miss Elita helped me pull these and stick them outside of each temple."
A pause.
"Cliffjumper...you're...another Cliffjumper?"
no subject
"I am, yeah." Then he grinned and shrugged. "And I would believe ya, as long as you could prove it; I've seen humans with superpowers of various sorts."
But it really didn't surprise him that she had had help.
no subject
"It's nice to meet you, Cliffjumper! You got me right. I'm the one and only Kay!"
no subject
"Nice to meet you, then, Kay. An' well, usually nothing's concrete without evidence. There's some things I'd give exceptions to, but..." He shrugged, not necessarily about to go into his... ahem... issues with Decepticons at the moment.
Though, given everything, he is one of the few cybertronians currently present with a decent idea of what humans can and can't do, as well as their culture and similar, given that he's spent at least ten years on Earth.
"So..." Cliffjumper trailed off and grinned. "Do you have any super powers?" He was rather sure she didn't, but teasingly asking would harm nothing.
no subject
I guess I'd want the power of flight, though. Who doesn't?"
no subject
"A christmas tree should have a star, right? Ya won't be flyin' by yourself, but wanna help me get it up there?" He nodded up at the top of the empty tree, offering Kay the improvised star as he unfolded his jetpack.
no subject
"I...I can help?"
The idea...it was so beyond her. She'd never even suspected an offer like that. So don't mind if she just...stares.
"Wow..."
no subject
"Yeah, sure. If ya want to. I'll keep us steady and you can attach it. Shouldn't be too large or cumbersome for you to carry, and I can help balance it if it is."
no subject
After her initial surprise, she wastes no time in hopping into that hand. By now it's almost like second nature. And the chance to FLY? No way was she passing that up in any way, shape or form.
"You got it! I won't lie, I'm pretty strong for my age!"
no subject
"Great, let's get up there then." He's not as tall as some others, so after some hesitation he scoots Kay down his arm, trapping her between arm and his chestplates instead. It feels more secure than having her sit on a hand that while reasonably large enough to handle that, doesn't seem secure enough when he's going to get up in the air.
Which he does, easily lifting off from the ground with a small jump, circling the crystal tree several times before inching closer, frowning. He needs to be careful here, since he doesn't want to crash them into the tree. At least the vibration from the jetpack should be mostly cushioned away, and Kay would probably feel the faint hum of his own engine working instead rather than being rattled by the jetpack, but the noise there isn't a lot to do about.
no subject
With the star in hand (which was, to her surprise, rather lightweight, she can feel them going up, immediately pressing herself more into that chestplate.
Oh god oh god oh god they were FLYING.
no subject
And you were supposed to do nice things around Christmas, right? He keeps in the snort and concentrates on getting close enough to the top of the tree without flying into any of the short, upright branches so Kay can attach the star.
no subject
She's always wanted to fly, just like her thief code states. But even she knew it was just for show. But this...this made that reality, in a sense.
When they reach the top, Kay readies herself, making sure she has a good grip on the star as she reaches to top it off. The light seems to bounce off the crystals once put up on top, and thus making a rather beautiful effect.
no subject
He doesn't feel too comfortable doing that, but he's keeping himself steady, and the tree is much too sturdy to sway, even if there was a good wind blowing, which there isn't.
"Ready, Kay?"
And he has to admit, as she gets the makeshift star up there, that along with the crystal itself, the light bouncing around is really pretty.
no subject
"You bet I am!"
She gazed at their finished product for a moment, eventually turning her head back to him. "Let's fly!"
no subject
"Hold on, then, and we're goin'." Not that he wasn't already holding her as he set off, judging the speed he could use against what he was reasonably sure humans could take. Not that this jetpack was capable of exceedingly huge speeds or anything, but it was fast enough for that.
Angling off around a spire, Cliffjumper dove further down the gorge Vector Prime's temple was situated in, using the walkways and towers as an impromptu flight obstacle course, mindful of the glittering threads suspended across the gorge.
no subject
Slowly, she starts to peek her eyes open, watching everything whip past her. It was just...beyond anything she could think of. The way Cliffjumper deftly avoided all those obstacles...it caused her stomach to leap each time.
It was...amazing.
"WHOA...!!"
no subject
"Tell me if it's too fast or anything like that, okay?" She's obviously excited, but they're up in the air with her literally rather unprotected, so giving a thought to that seemed like a good idea.
Going around yet another tower and between a few of the cables, Cliffjumper aim down the gorge and away from the temple to simply fly straight along it, the wind whipping against them both.
He's not a flyer and doesn't really feel any sort of urge for that sort of reformat, possible or not, but frag, using his jetpack for more than strategic moving around difficult patches was surprisingly great.
no subject
Her voice has been reduced to screams of delight, holding onto Cliffjumper's neck tighter as they slalom in and out of the cables.
