Meet and Greet and Everything Else

What: This is the general meet and greet for Glyphless as Wing and Drift invited everyone to the bar for some R&R, shelter, fuel and medical attention.
Warnings: None at the moment!

Well it certainly is buzzing with activity, the new surge of glyphless wanderers has certainly made work, but it's not too gloom and doom. People are getting fed, and getting repairs if needed. And spirits seem decent if not a little tense for obvious reasons.

"I'll keep an eye out, Kagerou. You just lead the way!"

She perches on the edge of his shoulder, hand like a visor over her forehead as she searches.

"Nothing yet..."

He nods. But his attention appears focused on the room. He'll just wander the area, somewhat aimlessly, until she tells him she sees something.

She lets him wander around too, keeping an eye out for any refreshments.

And lo and behold, there they are! When she notices, she reaches in to that mesh around his neck, pulling it.

"Kagerou! Over there!"

And in the meantime, he's drinking his own cubes. Fortunately for her, he only gets about halfway through his second before she yanks on his neck.

... He yelps. That... that's more sensitive than he'd ever thought it to be.

"What--!"

If Kagerou sees her, she's pointing down to the table where much smaller glasses are. That sure looked like human beverages!

"Down there! I think I see them!"

He stops abruptly, looking in the direction she's pointing. Those look... so small. But he nods, and steps over to the table, lifting her down to it.

"Are you sure these are the right things?"

[littlecrowgirl]

She hops down, inspecting the glasses before picking one up. There was no doubt about it. It was soda.

"Yep! That's it!"

There might have been some slight alcohol in there...but she won't notice. She'll just sleep it off later.

"What is it?"

He sets his own cube down, peering closely at whatever it is she has in the cup.

"It's soda! Kind of like what you're having.

But something in it tastes weird...."

It'll take her a few clicks to work it out.

"If it tastes strangely, you shouldn't drink it."

Why yes, he is hovering over her, watching her drink.

[littlecrowgirl]

"It's okay, Kagerou! I think it's just flat."

She keeps the glass close to her, waiting for that hand to go down again.

Don't be such a MOM.

"Are you sure? It's not... something the robots drink, is it?"

No, he's still hovering. He may be more used to looking after Shadowmaru than anyone else, but the instincts are still there.

[littlecrowgirl]

"No, I don't think so..."

She takes a look at it. "The glass is way too small for a robot, I think. Don't worry about me! I can handle it!"

"There are small robots here..."

It doesn't seem to reassure him. He stays hovering over her, as if that's going to better explain what she's drinking.

[littlecrowgirl]

"But they don't drink the glowy stuff, do they...?"

She tilts her head back to look up at him, tilting it.

"I haven't exploded yet."

"I don't know. I thought they did."

After all, he drank it now, didn't he? And he was significantly smaller than the other robots in this world.

Though, at her next comment, he scowls, faintly.

"And we'll keep it that way."

[littlecrowgirl]

Her shoulders slumped slightly, setting the cup down. Congrats, Kagerou, you saved Kay from being drunk. Although she thinks you're being a helicopter mom.

"Fiiiiiiine."

[thxforthememories]

"Good."

He reaches down to help her back up, though his hand wobbles a little as he makes the attempt. Kay may have escaped intoxication, but the robot is another story.

And she climbs back up as he lowers that hand, latching onto a finger in case he wobbles again.

"I'm sure it was fine."

"And if it wasn't?"

He lifts her to where he can look her in the eye. Sort of. He has a bit of difficulty focusing.

"If something happened to you... I don't know what I would do."

That catches her off guard. She knew Kagerou worried about her but...that was just touching.

"Kagerou..."

"I mean it."

He does sound sincere. Even if he happens to be looking at her a little sideways.

[littlecrowgirl]

It's just so touching. Even if Kagerou is intoxicated, that was the most caring thing she's heard in...a long while. It leaves her a bit dumbstruck.

"Okay...I'll be more careful."

[thxforthememories]

"Good."

He nods to her, a few more times than strictly necessary. Having another drink is probably a terrible idea, but no one's around to tell him not to.

"Please. Do that."

"Hey."

Stop right there.

"No more for you."
