Meet and Greet and Everything Else

What: This is the general meet and greet for Glyphless as Wing and Drift invited everyone to the bar for some R&R, shelter, fuel and medical attention.
Warnings: None at the moment!

Well it certainly is buzzing with activity, the new surge of glyphless wanderers has certainly made work, but it's not too gloom and doom. People are getting fed, and getting repairs if needed. And spirits seem decent if not a little tense for obvious reasons.

"Did... I do something wrong?"

"O-Of course not! Don't...Don't be sad!"

"I wanted to try it... I thought it would be all right."

She seemed so disappointed, and that makes something in him want to curl up and die.

"Oh, Kagerou no...it's okay..."

Oh god it's like she kicked a giant robot sized puppy. A hand rests against his face, rubbing it slightly.

"Y-You can just get sick if you drink too much liquid!"

Or, in this case, a giant robot sized bird. He blinks, when she pats his face, frowning slightly in thought.

"I don't think I can. I'm not human..."

[littlecrowgirl]

"You're human enough for me to worry.

You can't go all mother hen on me and then expect me not to worry about you, yannow!"

That earns one of Kagerou's infamous blank stares.

"... Mother hen?"

[littlecrowgirl]

"Helicopter mom?"

Is that closer?

He makes a face, suddenly. There was only one other robot here who had ever called him a female term before...

"Did Gunmax tell you to call me that?"

... since Vandal had told him to call the motorcycle 'bot a "buttfuck" and all.

"Gunmax? No, he doesn't talk to me much."


He has problems with handcuffs.

"I think he's a big dumb."

He makes a face, then lifts a finger to shake it at her a little.

"No, no."

The gesture is, oddly enough, very reminiscent of his double -- not that Kay would know it.

"He's a buttfuck. Vandal said so."

"!!"

That's a bad word, Kagerou! She'd...be upset if she weren't more surprised that it came from you.

"She said that?"

He has no idea what it means. Only that someone told him it was what you called an annoying person. He nods to Kay, vigorously.

"She did. She said that's what he is."

[littlecrowgirl]

Okay, she doesn't want to scold you like a bad puppy again, so she'll try something else.

"You know what fits better?"

[thxforthememories]

He tilts his head again, a little too far to one side, as he listens.

"What? What fits better?"

[littlecrowgirl]

"You should call him a big dumb. It fits MUCH better."

[thxforthememories]

"Big... dumb."

He tilts his head in the other direction, apparently thinking that one over. He blinks.

"But he isn't big. He's small."

[littlecrowgirl]

Her arms spread out wide, hopping up and down once.

"But his DUMB is big!"

Don't speak about dumb like it's tangible.

He blinks. He's trying to understand, and follow what she's saying, but he's started sipping at a cube again, and things have sort of stopped making sense.

"It's... a thing? Dumb is a thing?"

[littlecrowgirl]

She can't help but giggle.

"Yep! So make sure you call him that.

Just be like 'Mr. Gunmax, you're SUCH a big dumb!'"

He nods to her, listening closely. But at the last part, he frowns.

"Do I have to call him 'mister'?" he asks. "I don't want to be that polite. He isn't to me."

[littlecrowgirl]

She thinks about that for a moment, folding her arms.

"Yes, Mister can be left out."

[thxforthememories]

He grins at her again. It's wide, amused... and almost out of place on his normally reserved face.

"Good. Then I won't ever call him that."

[littlecrowgirl]

"Just remember, always call him a big dumb."

And hopefully not another word that someone will point out to you as a bad word and then have your self-esteem drop.

"Big dumb."

He nods to her, in agreement. He'll say that. But, very likely, he'll do what Vandal said too.
