Meet and Greet and Everything Else

What: This is the general meet and greet for Glyphless as Wing and Drift invited everyone to the bar for some R&R, shelter, fuel and medical attention.
Warnings: None at the moment!

Well it certainly is buzzing with activity, the new surge of glyphless wanderers has certainly made work, but it's not too gloom and doom. People are getting fed, and getting repairs if needed. And spirits seem decent if not a little tense for obvious reasons.

"It's soda! Kind of like what you're having.

But something in it tastes weird...."

It'll take her a few clicks to work it out.

"If it tastes strangely, you shouldn't drink it."

Why yes, he is hovering over her, watching her drink.

"It's okay, Kagerou! I think it's just flat."

She keeps the glass close to her, waiting for that hand to go down again.

Don't be such a MOM.

"Are you sure? It's not... something the robots drink, is it?"

No, he's still hovering. He may be more used to looking after Shadowmaru than anyone else, but the instincts are still there.

"No, I don't think so..."

She takes a look at it. "The glass is way too small for a robot, I think. Don't worry about me! I can handle it!"

"There are small robots here..."

It doesn't seem to reassure him. He stays hovering over her, as if that's going to better explain what she's drinking.

"But they don't drink the glowy stuff, do they...?"

She tilts her head back to look up at him, tilting it.

"I haven't exploded yet."

"I don't know. I thought they did."

After all, he drank it now, didn't he? And he was significantly smaller than the other robots in this world.

Though, at her next comment, he scowls, faintly.

"And we'll keep it that way."

Her shoulders slumped slightly, setting the cup down. Congrats, Kagerou, you saved Kay from being drunk. Although she thinks you're being a helicopter mom.

"Fiiiiiiine."

[thxforthememories]

"Good."

He reaches down to help her back up, though his hand wobbles a little as he makes the attempt. Kay may have escaped intoxication, but the robot is another story.

And she climbs back up as he lowers that hand, latching onto a finger in case he wobbles again.

"I'm sure it was fine."

[thxforthememories]

"And if it wasn't?"

He lifts her to where he can look her in the eye. Sort of. He has a bit of difficulty focusing.

"If something happened to you... I don't know what I would do."

That catches her off guard. She knew Kagerou worried about her but...that was just touching.

"Kagerou..."

[thxforthememories]

"I mean it."

He does sound sincere. Even if he happens to be looking at her a little sideways.

It's just so touching. Even if Kagerou is intoxicated, that was the most caring thing she's heard in...a long while. It leaves her a bit dumbstruck.

"Okay...I'll be more careful."

[thxforthememories]

"Good."

He nods to her, a few more times than strictly necessary. Having another drink is probably a terrible idea, but no one's around to tell him not to.

"Please. Do that."

[littlecrowgirl]

"Hey."

Stop right there.

"No more for you."

[thxforthememories]

He literally stops in his tracks, lifting her again to see her face. His own expression is confused.

"No more... what?"

[littlecrowgirl]

"I'm cutting you off the drinks, mister. You're getting a little woozy."

She can tell.

Look at this face, Kay. How can you tell this face no?

"Did... I do something wrong?"

[littlecrowgirl]

Stop.


STOP.

"O-Of course not! Don't...Don't be sad!"

[thxforthememories]

"I wanted to try it... I thought it would be all right."

She seemed so disappointed, and that makes something in him want to curl up and die.

"Oh, Kagerou no...it's okay..."

Oh god it's like she kicked a giant robot sized puppy. A hand rests against his face, rubbing it slightly.

"Y-You can just get sick if you drink too much liquid!"

Or, in this case, a giant robot sized bird. He blinks, when she pats his face, frowning slightly in thought.

"I don't think I can. I'm not human..."

[littlecrowgirl]

"You're human enough for me to worry.

You can't go all mother hen on me and then expect me not to worry about you, yannow!"
