Moving Forward Without a Master

Who: Yuzuki, OPEN TO ALL
Where: Junk Pile
When: The fourth day after her arrival and some days after (October 09-12)
What: Yuzuki is out in the Junk Pile searching and exploring. She hopes to find some means of recharging herself, but at the very least she’ll find her back up system.
Warnings: None. Will be updated as needed.

Awakening on a new planet in another universe had been rather overwhelming to take in at first, but the Link had allowed her to confirm it all. Despite the trouble her video post had created, she had been answered by several unique beings and learned a great deal. Agent Blurr had been extremely helpful in sharing information with her, providing her with a scaffolding from which to develop her understanding of this Cybertron, and Blades had made her feel welcome despite the magnitude of the situation. Still, even with such a curious reception, after the communications had all ended, Yuzuki had found herself in need of a thorough defragmenting cycle.

Unwilling, or perhaps unable, to dismiss the possibility of her master being present in this place with her too quickly, Yuzuki took to sleep mode with her systems set to automatically activate with any activity on the network. Coming around each time a new message appeared on the Link, she would observe quietly, and inquire as seemed appropriate, but otherwise maintained a distance to watch and learn. Her master had taught her to absorb all that she could about a situation prior to acting, and that familiar approach seemed best while not pressured by time. With each instance she woke, Yuzuki became aware of the passage of the hours, and during each interval of activity felt her hopes sink lower she failed to register anything from Minoru.

More than twenty four hours finally passed without response or confirmation from another, and so she had no choice but to accept that she was on her own for now.

There was no comfort to be found in the oversized, empty room, so her second and third day were spent exploring the temple of Alpha Trion and the immediate surroundings while nights were spent in sleep mode for safety back in her room. The temple itself had a very peaceful feeling to it, and looking out over the serene lake was an unexpected treat. Her first time outside led her to the various gardens, and although she could not identify all of the plants growing, the patches of Earthly nature gave her something familiar. After all, back home she oversaw care of the garden on the estate.

Although she had taken it easy those first few days, gradually moving further from the granted room, Yuzuki realized she would need to find some form of a power supply sooner rather than later. So with this goal in mind, she set out early in the fourth morning to search among the junk piles that lay between the quadrants of the First Forged. It would take too much time and energy to return to the temple each night, so unless she recovered something to return with or found her safety at risk in the dark, she would remain out away from the temple until she found a solution.

Hopefully, that solution would not inconvenience anyone else.

Out and about in the Junk Pile today, too, Tuck has with him the backpack he had found some time ago, though at the moment it seems quite empty. At the top of one pile, carefully balanced on a door with no frame and a shattered TV, he looks around, surveying the area for anything of use. He had already found a few small items of interest, but most of them had been left as they were.

There was one he shouldn't have kept and he knew it, but as soon as he had picked it up, he hadn't been able to let it go: a small, plush, white teddy bear with the standard black button eyes and a red ribbon tied around the neck. He had stashed this in his pack; maybe it would be of use later.

Because who can't use a white teddy bear?

Still in search of a small whistle or other non-powered noisemaker - or, of course, anything of any kind of use - Thundercracker had taken more and more often to exploring the Junkyard. And in case Four or anyone one else was out here whom he'd have trouble spotting, he was being as careful as ever in his movements as he walked slowly, shifting piles of miscellany around.

As careful as he was being, of course, didn't make him quiet. Nor hard to spot. Indeed, one would have to be completely deaf and blind to miss a twenty-foot-plus-tall mechanoid rummaging through the trash.
