Out and about in the Junk Pile today, too, Tuck has with him the backpack he had found some time ago, though at the moment it seems quite empty. At the top of one pile, carefully balanced on a door with no frame and a shattered TV, he looks around, surveying the area for anything of use. He had already found a few small items of interest, but most of them had been left as they were.
There was one he shouldn't have kept and he knew it, but as soon as he had picked it up, he hadn't been able to let it go: a small, plush, white teddy bear with the standard black button eyes and a red ribbon tied around the neck. He had stashed this in his pack; maybe it would be of use later.
