Chasing a lie I thought I believed in

WHO: Kay and whoever stumbles upon her.

WHERE: Junkpile

WHEN: Today

WHAT: Kay's exploring the Junkpile for some items. If you cross her path and talk to her she'll most likely find an item for you.

WARNINGS: She's a little grumpy after being embarrassed in front of Alpha Trion. Feel like cheering her up?

There's nothing worse than being made a fool in front of your idol. And Kay had learned that all too quickly. Cliffjumper had not only pranked her into thinking he'd been turned into a guitar (a guitar that was now gone, whether by Trion's correction or her own disposal), but some things, like your own competence shouldn't be called out on. At least that's how Kay saw it. But bottling yourself up in your room was getting old, so she took it outside, trekking all the way to the Junkpile to relieve some teenage-girl steam. Although this didn't keep her from her promise to Kagerou either. She sent a text to the robot saying she'd meet him there if he was well enough to go.

From pile to pile she leapt, searching for anything and everything. There wasn't much to find that didn't get scavenged earlier, but it provided a great distraction from everything. She sat crouched, examining what looked to be a whisk before tossing it to the side, scanning this pile once more.

"Stupid."

Whether she was talking about the whisk or something else was to be debated. She flipped her hair out of the way, giving a big sigh before hoisting herself to her feet.

Maybe the next pile would have something.

[That's him, yep. But he's still not moving nor answering, as if he didn't hear the girl.]

[She makes her way over to the car, running a hand along the hood as she walks around him.]

Are you sleeping...? This isn't a good place to sleep, you know.

[Now, that wakes him up, but he doesn't change to robot mode. The car headlights flickers to life, as if he's blinking. As a reply to her question the voice of John Lennon can be hear, coming from his radio.]

[The radio surprises her a little, and she takes a seat on that hood, still petting it.]

C'mon, what kind of robot talks only in radio speak? That's pretty complicated.

[Blurr doesn't mind, in fact it feels rather nice. Some more lyrics from Interpol-Untitled sound:]

[The music switch to Humphrey Bogart's voice.]

Of all the gin joints, in all the towns, in all the world, she walks into mine. [That Casablanca quite is his way of asking why is she in the junk pile, she should be in a nicer place. And then she gets Loki's voice, from the Thor movie.] What troubles you, gatekeeper?

[Kay can't help but laugh at that. It was cute finding out exactly what Blurr was saying. The rubbing is now circular motions, trailing up and down that hood.]

Me? I just...came to get some air.

[Music and entertainment, what more can you ask for? Mayeb proper conversation...As long as she doesn't touch the spike, any caress is welcome.]

[And again, she gets Casablanca quotes.]

Don't you sometimes wonder if it's worth all this? I mean what you're fighting for.

[Sitting up is so last century, so she's just going to lie on her stomach, looking into the windshield, patting the hood lovingly.]

Sometimes I wonder that. But...what drive do you have to live then, if you aren't fighting for something.

[He seems to think about that for a few seconds before to reply with a line from the Star Trek series.]

I brought more trouble than it was worth.. [The voice changes to Rambo.] I could have killed ‘em all, I could kill you. [Finally, the crying, desperate, voice from the Comedian speaks up.] This is a joke. This is all a joke.

[Who can he trust if not himself or the who controls the future? Knowing that his whole existence can change because a simple line or drawing on a book makes Blurr feel terrified of what he could become. Of what he could do to others.]

[Her head rests on that hood, giving a little hum herself. Hey, if he's going to talk radio, then she can too. It's not as much conversation as it is something to comfort him.]

[She hums the rest, closing her eyes as she does so.]

[Ah, Mika, he knows that one. The hummed song is comforting and Blurr's engine revved as a reply, grateful.]

[There's some more rubbing.]

Think you can talk now?

Hm...fine... [ There, he talked! He sounds rather meek.]Did I hurt you when I was acting weird? I can't remember...[But please say no D:]

No, you didn't.

[She keeps rubbing.]

You weren't yourself, Mr. Blurr. None of us were.

[He makes another revving sound, one of relief, but she can't probably understand it.]

I wish I could change what happened...Were you affected by the pages in any way?

I wasn't...affected like you were. I just thought I was a cyborg...

But I did...stupider things.

[Her eyes sadden, resting her head on his hood again.]

[A cyborg. Oh yes, Blurr knows that she was supposed to be Ratchet's daughter.

It hurts to remember that Ratchet and Wheeljack were a pair, but he should have known better. He will leave them alone from now.

But Kay is the most important person in this moment.] Do you want to talk about it?

[Her eyes look away from him for a moment before burying themselves into his hood. Her voice is a bit muffled, but still audible.]

I thought Cliffjumper turned into a guitar. He pulled a prank and convinced me he was...and then said it was just a prank in front of Alpha Trion.

[Someone didn't find it so funny.]

Pranks are a pain in the aft and shouldn't be done. [He had to deal with too many when he was younger.]He should apologize for making you worry.

It's probably not even worth it. If he hasn't done it by now then forcing it out of him won't make things better.

[She just continues to lie there.]

It still hurt, though.

No but..he should know better.

[Blurr's going to open one of his door so she can get in.] Do you want a distraction?

[When the door opens, Kay slides off that hood, getting inside. Once in the seat, she takes a look around, eyes wide.]

Wow...you're a really pretty car...

[SJHdjks oh.]

T-thank you. Are you comfortable?

[She gives a nod.]

You bet!

[His engine rumbles.] Good then ^WAN_NAgo for a ride? I will help to distract you.
