[ once more Sora finds himself in that clinic. maybe the door isn't locked, but he's more or less trapped all the same. this time, though? he doesn't really feel like leaving. he's not the type that easily gets sick - seriously, the kid travels to a bunch of different worlds and maintains his health. but this time? it's really knocked him off of his feet.

visitors are allowed, since Sora doesn't feel up to leaving and visiting his friends. he tries to smile and laugh like usual, but it's obvious he gets tired easily and zones out - kind of like a head cold. so more often than not, he can be found, curled up on one of those human sized beds.

Either way, he's got a child on his hand now, and he's afraid to move it. You know, in case Sora just collapses off the bed or something.]

[ Sora is special like that, Wheeljack. but it's all right. after the metal isn't cold to his face anymore, he'll lean back on his pillows with many much humming. ]

Maybe he doesn't know he does either.

[Sora has a point with the needle, though.] Then I will find some human to do it for me. That, or I could keep try pricking you until I get it right. [He smiles back at the boy and then can't help but chuckle at that sneeze.]

Do me a favor and don't kill yourself with water. There's no way I could explain that to people and make it sound an actual accident. [Jokes aside, he's leaning over so he can give Sora's eyes a good look.] Do you have problems focusing on things? Your eyes look glassy.

[He pokes one Sora's legs to check how quick are his reflexes. Eventually, he knows he's going to need to call a human, if only to get a blood sample from the boy.]

[ Sora nods, coughing and hacking until his lungs are raw. water going down the wrong tubes. :( he rubs at his chest and drinks a little more water. ]

[ does the way that Sora squints and frowns while he thinks about the question. at least his reflexes are fine. ]

Not as much as on Earth, though. Even an Earth that's messed up generally has a pretty complete micro-organism ecology because that's just how the little boogers are. Here... well, especially anything evolved to go after humans would have some problems because the population's just not dense enough. Normally.

No? you fooled me. [Knock Out rubs Sora's back with his thumb but he will deny it forever if the teen ever brings it up in a conversation.] Lie down, you need to rest while I work on a cure.

[The door to Knockout's clinic slides open and Axel strides in looking rather agitated.]

Sora? Knockout? You guys he-?

[Spots Sora.]

[ hold on. he's leaning and looking pretty content at the rubbing. might even hug on those digits again as he leans back down against those pillows. ]

[ if that's what this is. he's not sure. doesn't know. Knock Out's a doctor. he should though! ]

Just got water in my chest.

[Her hands press down on his shoulders, easing him back into the bed. Really, Sora? You can't wait til you've recovered from death first?]

Pretty sure he's just awkward about stuff. He got me food when I needed it and has been checking up on me a lot.

[Long suffering sigh. His free hand reaches out for the berth's sheet to wipe off Sora's face. YOU REALLY ARE LIKE A HUGE BABY.]

[ pretty much his only protest and sure is making a face while KO's rubbing there. ]

[For his part, the BP unit hasn't found anything odd, yet. He's been preoccupied, to say the least. Patrolling, searching. But not as much as before -- he's trying to take Shadowmaru's words, Rewind's words, to heart.]

[Though he hasn't stopped completely.]

[He wants to check out the clinic. It was the site of the last attack, though it was a long time ago now. It can't hurt to try.]

[He slips in, as silent as possible. Given his stealth systems, it's fairly quiet. He isn't yet aware anyone else is in here, so he doesn't bother to hide the fact he's clearly prowling about, looking for something.]

[ it's not like Sora heard the guy come in. he's kind of in and out of sleep at the moment. the only reason he notices the sneaky guy is because he had to sit up to blow his nose. AGAIN.

but instead of doing it immediately, he watches.

now he blows his nose. ]

[Those wings suddenly flare up, like a startled animal's tail fluffing out. He goes rigid, shoulders hunched, and very slowly turns, like he's expecting a fight.]

[Except there's... a kid on a bed. Instead of a threat.]

[He relaxes by slow degrees.]

Right now? Making endless amounts of snot... And probably burning a hole in the bed.

[Knock Out grins, maybe looking more amused at that frowny face than he should be.]

[He's staying with you because he's waiting for Alia or Rapunzel to show up and help. NO OTHER REASON.]

What for? Ventus's chickens have some sort of magic healing properties I didn't know about?
