Buddy cops - flight edition

Who: Drill Boy and Thundercracker
Where: Flying around Haven/patrol
When: Before the big showdown with Tarn
What: Some Police Force bro interaction for two of the flyers on the team.
Warnings: Dumb Drill Boy flying?

Drill Boy wasn't surprised that he had been paired up with Thundercracker, as he knew that his ability to fly was something that they didn't want to mess with. So with someone else who can fly it was.

He was ready to go for their patrol and decided to take the opportunity to get to know Thundercracker, as he hadn't really done so before, just knowing that he was on the Police Force. "Hi there." He said by way of greeting, smiling at the jet. "I like your colors, really cool."

Thundercracker was reading a datapad, studying the orders and the flight routes and any other inane data Prowl had thought they'd need. He looked up at the approaching footsteps and the voice. Oh, right . . . the Autobot SIC had paired him up with one of the human-built AIs. He'd not actually had much interaction with any of the mechs outside of McCrane. "Thank you." He stepped up . . . and offered his hand. "My designation is Thundercracker." Not that he thought the mech didn't already know, but it didn't hurt to formally introduce to each other.

((ooc: Hitting some old stuff while waiting on an answer from one of the mods before I can do anything new. Feel free to ignore. =3;;; Have to admit, though . . . now that I REALLY know who this guy is? EEEE! <3))

Without really even thinking about it, Thundercracker crouched a bit to help compensate. He was large even for his own kind (not shuttle-class large, but still), plus his roommate and one of his closest friends was only seven inches tall. The Seeker had been doing pretty well at dealing more closely with those smaller than he.

"It is. Prowl's orders." He couldn't much help the distaste in his tone - nor did he bother to try - but at least he wasn't insulting the Autobot. That was something, right? He offered the datapad, studying the red-and-orange mech. His wings were obvious, but there were other elements that . . . frankly confused the Seeker. For example . . . was that a giant sports ball embedded in the mech's chest? ...huh.

He thumbed over his shoulder at the door. "I'm ready when you are." It wasn't that he was trying to be unsociable, but they did have a schedule. They could socialize in the air. Besides, he found himself intrigued at the thought of seeing just what this human-built robot could do.
