You just make it too easy Sentinel. Wouldn't you take advantage too if you were in Knock Out's place?

"Aren't you a jumpy fellow. If that title touch gets such interesting reaction out of you I wonder what else I could do to see more. Elite Guard?"

Nope. Knock Out doesn't know what that is, though.

No doubt! He's been watching meticulously what Knock Out has been saying and his body language, trying to find some sort of fault that he can pounce upon, but alas.

"I'm not jumpy," He sneers at the thought of it. "Don't touch me again."

Sentinel grins complacently, this'll be fun. Back in his own universe, just the insignia was enough to get comments and glances. Aaah, attention.

"Autobot military. Which I happen to be a very high ranking member of."

Knock Out is the master of acting in a way and feeling exactly the opposite way. you learn how to do that when you stay around Megatron for a long time.

"What if I touch you again? What will the big bad Autobot do to me? You look like the sort of mech who would enjoy using cuffs for more things than just arresting people who misbehave."

Insignias never mattered much to Knock Out, he doesn't even wear the Decepticon one, but yes, Sentinel has his attention now. He doesn't look very impressed, though.

"I heard the army will take anyone now a days ..."

Sentinel would like to think he's good at that, but even through his ego centrism he can see that his emotions give him away. Acting one way and feeling another is certainly not on his list of skills. Doesn't stop him from trying, though!

"Probably not much... I don't think the First Forged look too kindly on murder." He stops when Knock Out mentions the cuffs and feels his faceplate heat up. Luckily, he's not above lying.

"No, that's a misuse of Elite Guard property, and grounds for arrest. Or it should be, anyway."

Knock Out's apathy irks him slightly, he's used to being fussed over, damnit!

"Maybe in your universe. Ours has pretty intensive training to even be able to apply."

It's all about Practice, sentinel. One day you will master the art too. Knock Out could give you private lessons if you wanted ~

"That probably depends on what FirstForged you ask." There's one named Megatronus after all. And there's Liege too. "Oh, you are really not fun. I bet that all you agents of the law have a kinky hidden side, otherwise you wouldn't like handcuff so much."

Knock Out likes that too, all for himself. Sorry, Sentinel. "Tell em more about that training, I'm curious."

He needs it if he wants to be a successful politician! The guy can only fake so much.

"No doubt they'd keep to their secretive habits and not even reply." He groans. Goddamnit Knock Out, why with all the sexual questions!?

"It's intense. What else do you want? Only the top candidates are allowed in the army, as opposed to the anarchists the Decepticons accept."

But the way to be a successful politician is to fake even more and nonstop. Take lessons from Megatron. See how well that worke...wait.

"Most likely, yes. Sometimes it's really irritating." Let's bond again while complaining about others. Ey those questions are as valid as the rest, he's trying to get to know you.

"I love intense things." You walked right into that one, Sentinel. "And what did YOU do to get in?"

Yeaaaah. Sentinel doesn't really have it in him to lie like that to so many mechs, anyway. Not yet.

"They want us to help discover the planet and whatever but won't even tell us what they know," He rolls his opics at Knock Out. "Great help they are."

He did, and he knows it. Despite being careful with what he's saying, Knock Out still manages to make innuendo. "Went through the Academy, worked my fragging aft of and hey- it all paid off in the end, I suppose."

Sentinel looks sad for a brief moment; he really doesn't like thinking about the life he left behind.

Maybe one day Sentinel. The day Magnus gets into a coma again.

"Do you know that the FirstForged are supposed to be thirteen? Some of them aren't even showing themselves." That makes Knock Out feel so safe, really, except not.

The medics takes a sip of his drink, studying Sentinel's body language. He can be social and not sarcastic form time to time too, he was making an effort now. "Just supposed? You aren't satisfied with how things were?" He can relate.

Ah yes, the day Sentinel decided being sane wasn't really something he liked anymore

"Thirteen? Where are the others? Hiding in a cave?"

Sentinel fiddles with his cube awkwardly; he can tell that Knock Out is scrutinizing him. He starts thinking of names he could call Knock Out when he inevitably makes another snide remake. Maintinence Out? No. Frag.

"Everyone has problems with their leaders, right? Ours was just... old and not really the best mech for the job anymore."

He doesn't know much about Megatron, but isn't stupid enough to underestimate him. The Megaton of his own universe is an absolute tyrant, and thinking of him as anything less would be a very bad mistake.

Being sane is overrated.

"I have no idea. In a cave, in the sky, under the ground..." Knock Out shrugs. "For all I know they could be invisible or live in a different plane of existence." The red mech grins and lowers his voice "They could be behind you....."

"Our has the habit of throwing vehicons off the ship when he gets angry. For the record, those can't not fly." You think Magnus is bad? try living with Megatron. "And who do you think was more suited for your leader's position?"

Totally.

"I really doubt they're behind me." He leans forward, just in case.

"Mm, well. Ours isn't quite that bad. For the record, I was supposed to be Magnus' heir. He didn't want to accept that the Decepticons were coming back, and that the war had basically reignited."

Sentinel takes a deep breath, he doesn't really want to start ranting about this sort of thing in front of Knock Out, a Decepticon no less. He's just really impatient and wants to be the leader!!

"You never know, I said they could be invisible. And they could enjoy preying on innocent Elite Guard Autobots."

Knock Out leans forward as well, trying not to smirk,. "I did not know that the rank could be passed on like that. You don't have to fight each other to death first?" Is he joking? Is he serious? Pretty hard to tell with this one. "Once it starts War never ends, he should have known that."

Ranting about your boss is what Starscream and Knock Out like to do when they're together, feel free to go on. He won't judge. Much.

"Oh, ha ha. How awfully coincidental. Maybe they like red 'bots who like asking too many questions." He awkwardly pokes at Knock Out's shoulder, returning the gesture from earlier. That's how friends interact, right?

Sentinel snorts slightly at the idea of fighting Magnus, mostly because he knows he would be flattened in ten seconds while the older bot still had the Magnus Hammer. "I think he knew, but didn't want to accept it. You know how it is, they get stuck in their old ways, and can't adapt to technological developments and changes in warfare."

"Maybe. My FirstForged is a rather nice lady. With a really impressive...chassis." Knock Out likes big chests, sue him. He's not bothered at all by the poke, is the first time Sentinel actively touched him and he considers that progress.

It's a pity that bosses are so hard to kill defeat, hm? "That's definitelly what your side does, yes. Mine enjoys technology and Decepticon's engineering is quite advanced. Some mech can't let go of the past, though."

"I've never even seen mine. Then again, I suppose I've only been here a few weeks." He's glad Knock Out didn't do anything to him, took him ages to decide whether or not to actually do the thing.

"Our Decepticons have been scattered for millions of stellar cycles, I doubt they have much in the way of technology scavenged."

He shifts awkwardly again. This is a topic he really doesn't want to get into with a Decepticon.

He takes a look at Sentinel's glyph. "Vector, isn't it? I never talked to him but he's not one of the worse ones. My FirstForged seems to like him well enough." You should do the thing more often Sentinel, Knock Out wouldn't mind.

"Or perhaps they are not stupid stupid enough to let the Autobots know exactly how advanced is their technology. Either way, it doesn't matter here so let's change the topic."

Blah, war is boring and brings back bad memories. He's happier here than in his own world, let's not ruin the mood thinking about that.

"Yup. I'm still not entirely sure why but, whatever." MAYBE HE WILL.

"Or maybe they knew the Autobots could curbstomp them if they tried to overthrow the government again."

Sentinel could care less about Knock Out's feelings regarding the war. He's well aware of the horrors war can bring but... this is a Decepticon.

That said, after having such a friendly chat with him, Sentinel doesn't really want to think about what KO would do, as a Decepticon who was in a war. Humanizing the enemy don't sit right with him, yo.

Knock Out chuckles again at that. "Maybe, perhaps, who knows...it doesn't matter anymore."

Is better not to think about certain things, no. "Any plans in mind? we can't leave this place, it's good to have something to do." Stagnation would drive Knock Out mad, he's glad he has the clinic.

"I fully intend to question him on what the frag is going on when I get the chance to meet him."

He vents quite loudly and harshly at Knock Out's point. "No, it doesn't." SHRUG "Blurr mentioned the Police Force but currently I've been... researching this place via the library."

By that he means doing a lot of reading. Not necessarily even on topics that are even relevant to his interests.

"What about you, if you have a ground for then... scouting?"

"Do it from a distance. I've heard that some of them enjoy stepping on people thosewho disturb them." And it would be such a loss if Sentinel got killed so quickly. Knock Out thinks he's a great source of entertainment.

"Blurr? Ah, right, the guy who talks like he's high." Hard to forget. "We have a library?" News to him.

"I always find things to do. Recently I opened my own medbay, you are welcome there if you want an upgrade or you, Primus forbid that, got hurt somehow."

"Yeah, I heard being a murderous demi-god is the new black." That shield of his is pretty strong! Provided it's not put under continued stress, of course.

He frowns. "You're a medic?" Decepticons have medics? Sentinel thought they just left their wounded to die in the field.

"...I'll pass. Your concern is noted but I can take care of myself." He puffs up his chest and goes to poke Knock Out again... only changes his mind half way and instead makes an awkward waving motion at him.

((ooc: Oh no, we have one! Trion's Library. It's actually giant and well known, but Knock Out was never too interested in it and he's forgetful.))

"Being a murderous abuser of power never gets out of fashion." Specially among Decepticons. Vectors an easy Firstforged to talk with, Sentinel won't need the shield at all.

At the question, Knock Out smiles. "Medic and tech advisor, I'm very fond of both of my areas of expertise. I know, I know..a medic who's not actually old as the Pit and who's not covered in rust? As incredible as it seems, it's true." So modest too. And yes they have medics too, you silly bot.

"The offer is still there if you change your mind." No, why did you stoop? He raises an eyebrow and gives Sentinel a somewhat confused smirk.

"Maybe not for Decepticons." Autobots are more bureaucratically focused in his time; the Council won't authorize anything unless it's signed in triplicate, sent in, sent back, queried, lost, found, subjected to public inquiry, lost again, and finally buried in soft peat for three months and recycled as firelighters.

He frowns, surprised. "I'm surprised they even let you practice considering you don't fill the criteria."

Sentinel pulls a face at Knock Out. Professional or not, he's not too keen on being put under by a Decepticon. Sorry bro, it's gonna take him a while to let all that go, if ever.

"Not for anybody who gets enough power. Going dictator on others is not only something Decepticons do. Even you could do that with the right motivation." Bureaucracy, ew. Knock Out's allergic to that.

"I'm full of surprises." He winks at Sentinel. "Maybe one day I will let you know some."

You think that now, Sentinel. But the others medics available, Glit, McCoy and Ambulon, are: a jaguar Decepticon, a human and an ex-Con. Knock Out might be the lesser evil.
