little ladies on motorcycles. (open.)
WHO: Saber and whoever she runs into or whoever contacts her on the Link! Open.
WHERE: All around the Haven. Pick your place if you actually run into her and put it into your subject line, please?
WHEN: Today!
WHAT: Saber is testing out her fixed motorcycle! She also drives like a maniac (no exaggeration; the bike is so intense normal folk can't drive it and she doesn't even use the brakes - she uses her Prana Burst to help steer and brake), so feel free to contact her on the Link if you see her from far away (which may be done actionspam style if you like), or simply talk to her in person. (She may attract your attention since she's going about 150-200 miles per hour, just messing around.)
WARNINGS: None expected. Will change if needed.
Taking off from Alpha Trion's, Saber said good-bye to a few weeks of stuffy libraries and hello to the fresh air. Having thought ahead of time, she had brought her suit with her to change into. And it was a wise decision, as her dress was an encumbrance on her motorcycle. This was the motorcycle she had found and Knock Out had ever so kindly fixed up for her.
After taking off on the motorcycle that seemed to come to life under her, Saber immediately noticed a few changes. Now, this motorcycle had been custom made for her in the first place, and her Riding ability only brought that out more for her. When riding it, it nearly felt as if it was an extension of herself. However, this Energon it was running on.. something just felt.. cleaner. More efficient. She felt a bit more power from the engine and better output and control. The engine vibrated a bit less beneath her form, as she was practically laying on top of the pump on top of the engine to control the larger motorcycle.
And that meant doing ridiculous stunts and speeding with even less of a concern. Depending on where Saber is seen, the knight may be doing several things. If around Prima's quadrant, Saber may be seen ramping off of the rough terrain. Alpha Trion's quadrant? Saber will be revving up and down over hills to catch the wind in her hair. Vector Prime's quadrant has several great straightaways to use to test her speed; and this holds true even if there's no guardrails and the paths are very thin.

He almost grind to a halt when he saw Saber on top of it, driving, and his engine revved at the view. They had talked about what it meant for a cybertronian to be driven by someone else, to give away such freedom, and now she was driving someone. Blurr didn't recognize the mech but the view bothered him for some reason. Gunmax had a bike as an alt mode or it was a gun? Anyway, Blurr sped up even more to catch up on them when he realized she was no wearing any helmet.

Th knight sat up, and moved her hands to her lower back to crack her back once. Hunching over the motorcycle for extended periods of time could be uncomfortable, but she also enjoyed how close she was on the motorcycle then. It made her feel much more in control.
..Blurr. She hadn't spoke to him for quite some time. Not since the species swap incident, since.. seeing him and Bulkhead stuck in a room together did not count. Saber had buried herself in Alpha Trion's library, and he had likely been catching up on things at the Police Force.. but still, she figured she should likely apologize.
no subject
Blurr had stopped a few feet from them, not yet transforming into robot mode. His glare was much less noticeable when he was a car mode, for obvious reason and he wasn't really mad at Saber.- He didn't wan her to misunderstand his irritated look if he saw his face. Blurr couldn't quite stop the dry tone his voice carried at his next question.
"Who's your friend?"
A friend that clear was not organic and didn't seem to know that humans needed to protect their head when they drove so fast. What if something happened to her? It upset Blurr immensely.

The knight in the suit sounds a bit more positive than usual. Being out in the open air and riding around has greatly improved her mood. Sliding off of the bike, she holds the keys in her hand before spinning the key ring around one finger idly.
"It.. he," she starts, remembering she had indeed named the motorcycle, "was a motorcycle that was custom-made for me quite some time ago. I'm lucky to have found him in the junk pile. I suppose I should be thankful to the Lambda, even with all of the trouble it may bring."
no subject
"Oh!...eh...so it's from Earth. I thought..some of my people turns into bikes too and...hm...never mind."
The car moved and shifted, and soon enough he was standing next to her and looking down. She seemed really happy and he couldn't help but smile sheepishly. "I'm glad you have a new way of transportation. I guess that means you don't need me. I did not know earth bikes could reach that speed."
no subject
Saber notices and does hear the comment about not needing him, and it slightly takes her back for a moment. Did they not have that conversation about driving Cybertronians..? ..And he had never offered, had he..? ..Had she offended him?
"Ah.. It'd be inexcusable to take up your time to have you drive me around all day, Blurr. My duties for Vector Prime.. I take them quite seriously. And I would not want to take you from your duties. And.. I feel much more comfortable when driving. Perhaps.."
Saber thinks, raising a gloved hand to her chin.
"I haven't had a ride since arriving on Cybertron. Perhaps you would like to give me a tour of some more interesting areas I may not have seen..?"
no subject
"I really don't mind. er, didn't. I'm always happy to help you or spend more time with you. But I do understand how important duties can be." He became more serious all of sudden, straightening his posture as well.
"I can do that, of course. Some are far away but you will have NO problems with that bike of yours. Ad now that we talk...I wanted to apologize for our last conversation." After talking to people he realized what his accidental breadcast with Bulkhead sounded like.
no subject
"..Apologize? You already did, Blurr. And you two also cleaned up your mess. There is nothing to apologize more for."
Saber understood that she could get anywhere she practically wanted to now, but being shown around sounded.. pleasant. She had only seen a select few areas due to not wishing to adventure out too far. And being a passenger was relaxing.. if you trusted the driver. This driver, Blurr, she was certain she could trust. She'd ask him about maybe.. taking her around one night after he explained why he wanted to apologize.
no subject
"I apologized for the mess we made, not for WHAT it looked like we were doing. Everyone thought we were interfac...wait no" Blurr gesticulated around, trying to find the right word for her to understand. "Everyonethoughtwewerematting. And now I see how that could have been uncomfortable for you." That's why she was so angry at first, right?
Now that he didn't lead the Police Force Blurr had more time to do what he was made for: investigating and exploring. Every day he tried to go a bit further, away from the Haven, and sometimes he found really interesting places to visit. He'd like to share that with her.
no subject
"..Aye, it was uncomfortable for me. But even if you had been partaking in that type of .. scenario with Bulkhead, it's still none of my concern."
The knight was unable to help but tilt her head downwards slightly. In fact, that still boggled her. Yes, she had been incredibly irritated at first, and was still having troubles understanding why. No, she knew why. She had been jealous. That was what she was unsure of.
Ever since Saber had arrived, she had been making friends that had already established social groups. And they were usually ones she would never be a part of. And she was no stranger to that in her lifetime. But this, this had bothered her..
"If you wish to apologize for that, then you have to allow me to apologize for being upset in the first place. I had no right to. What you do is your decision.."
..Why was she having a hard time saying that? Saber looked back up at Blurr, the hair above her eyes being tugged back by the wind.
no subject
"You still seems upset." He added, in a soft, almost apologetic, tone. He crouched down with one kneel on the ground so they were more at eye level.
no subject
She bowed her upper form, bringing her hand to her stomach, and smiled. The smile was small, but there. Saying that made her feel better about it. She was the King of Knights, and to protect those she cared for was one thing she could feel confident about.
no subject
He relaxed marginally after that last reminder. Saber did in fact sworn to protect him and it meant a lot to Blurr that she would do such important bow for a bot like him. He never had anybody that cared about him that way.
"I was thinking that perhaps there's some way I can compensate you for that? Some way to show you that you are just as important to me, I've been thinking about our conversation at the dance party and I guess that was why I was sort of jealous too when is saw you with...Emiya? that was it, right?...Emiya. I thought it was another mech. "
He was talking almost too fast too understand, he knew that but he couldn't always control it. Specially not when he got excited or nervous about something.
no subject
For Blurr to show Saber that he cared for her.. the knight shook her head as she raised a hand.
"It's not needed, Blurr. You came to me when I was turned into a sword and helped me. You needn't prove yourself to me, and I would not demand it.. But there is one thing I would like to ask of you."
Turning away from him for a moment, she looked across the hilly landscape and then turned back to him.
"I have mostly only stayed in the inner circle of the Haven, and have only seen a few temples. I am wondering if you would perhaps take me for a drive to see more of the Haven..?"
Yes, she could drive herself on her motorcycle, but it seemed more preferable to be able to sit back and relax during the ride.
"Perhaps some upcoming night?"
no subject
"And it wouldn't be imposing if said Cybertronian allows you to do it. So perhaps, in the future..." The rest was left unsaid. Blurr needed more time, right now he was still uncomfortable with the idea of someone having all that much control over him. But if that someone was Saber? Perhaps he wouldn't mind it that much. And he wanted Saber to know he could trust her that much.
After that, he poked her softly on the side, smiling. "YOU came to help me when I was turned an organic and you taught me he really important things about being human. In a wide sense of the term of course." He knew Saber wasn't completely human and he didn't want to make her feel bad about it. "I still owe you. There's some really beautiful places out there, I would love to show you them."
no subject
"I will accept your offer of showing me around. This is not on the grounds that I feel you owe me. I believe we're equal."
The knight paused awkwardly before speaking again, holding her hands in front of herself properly.
"I would like to go with you to enjoy your company. Would you be able to pick me up at Haven's Hub in .. let's say, two evenings?"
As she said this, Saber's face became a bit darker in color, but not much. It wasn't noticeable with the gentle smile she gave. When was the last time she had simply spent time with someone just to enjoy their presence? Without having run into them first on accident or due to duty..? Ages.
no subject
"I would love to do that. In two days then, it's settled." That ways he will have time to decide where to take her, he want it to be some really special place.
Then Blurr stood up, giving the bike a look and then staring back at Saber. "You were driving without a helmet." Bad saber. Bad. He was more worried than angered by the fact.
no subject
Saber crosses her arms as she thinks.
"That makes me sound like quite the rebellious teenager, does it not?" she starts, unable to help but smile as if she finds the idea funny. After all, her.. something like rebellious? "Riding a motorcycle reminds me of the years when I charged onto the battlefield.."
Wearing a helmet kind of dulled that.. sensation. So, stubborn or not, Saber saw no reason to wear a helmet and would not.
no subject
He laughed at her antics. "Acting like a new sparked protoform. Don't worry I wouldn't dare to tell you to go to your room." Everybody loves a rebel, after all. "If you still want to do that, you can always ride Frank. He's a fast, great mount. He'll demand pettings later, though."
Blurr worries were eased by the knowledge that she can heal herself, but those were still present.
no subject
Yes, Saber could heal wounds within a ridiculously short amount of time. Normal medicines and healing methods would not work on her.
"If you'll excuse me, Blurr.. I am going to continue riding for now. Thank you for stopping to chat with me. I look forward to two nights from now."
As Saber walked back over to Emiya, she got on top of the motorcycle and put the keys into the ignition. Pausing as she held the keys in, she waited for a moment before starting the engine.
"Since I have sworn myself as your sword.. I'll tell you this .. this once. Please let me know when you face any sort of trouble. Should something happen to you.."
..She would be something of a terrible knight, wouldn't she? And Saber would feel responsible. Still, Saber didn't want to lecture him about making sure to tell him to call her any time something was wrong. The knight just wanted to let him know this once she was always available for him.
no subject
"Ahofcoursofcourse. It was nice talking to you, but please be careful with that bike." Healing powers or not, he always worried. However, Blurr also had to admit that she looked good riding that bike. "Don't worry Saber, I'll be fine." It was hard for the Elite agent to ask for help but he was touched by her concern "I look forward to our next meeting."
After one last smile he transformed back into his car mode and turned, driving away. He had to decide where to take her and plan some things.
Probably Alpha Trion's to start with, though he could follow her anywhere easily enough.
Thundercracker can't help his curiosity. Aside from Blurr, he's never seen a ground vehicle move that fast. He didn't think a non-Cybertronian could even survive such speeds if not protected within ample framing with a pressurized interior. And yet, here was someone on a motorcycle streaking around as if the narrow, two-wheeled vehicle were trying to sprout wings and take to flight.
no subject
As she notices the jet fly by and then doubling back slower, Saber attempts to look upwards to see who it is. It's not that easy to see, but it's a safe assumption that this is also a Cybertronian. Were they curious?
Saber was in a rather good mood, and she decided to issue an invitation.. or perhaps to the right person, a 'challenge'. Although with no desires to race, the bike would suddenly speed up considerably with a rush of visible moving air around it and carry the knight about 10 miles forward at a rate of about 250 miles. Stopping there, the winds around her died down and she waited.
She wanted to know who this curious onlooker was; perhaps they'd stop for a chat?

"Thundercracker," she greeted warmly. Saber was in a better mood than usual, and she was glad to see him.

Thundercracker had been witness to her receiving Avalon, so she didn't think she had to further her point any.
"Are you out to enjoy the fresh air, as well?"
no subject
"Somewhat. I fly this area regularly as part of my patrols as well as – " For fun. " – to keep up my skills. Have you ever flown, Saber?"
no subject
And although it was an interesting experience, Saber hadn't enjoyed it as much as she would have if she had been actually piloting it.
"Ah, patrols. It's nice if one can have enjoyment from their work."
no subject
He cocks his head, regarding her. "Would you be interested in flying again?"
no subject
Apparently, Thundercracker has caught Saber's good mood. In return to his grin, he gets a smile. ..It's pleasant to be able to enjoy idle chit-chat the odd time.
Trying the brand-new "reply directly from email notif" function - hope this works! 8D
"Better and more complete, I'd think. You'd be able to observe and tie together large expanses of land at a glance, for one. I won't keep you from your motorcycle - " He could see that she'd been enjoying it. " – but let me know when you'd like to go. My alt-mode is built to take a human passenger." More correctly, it was built to mimic a vehicle requiring a human pilot, but he wasn't quite ready to give over control of himself to another like that, however nominally.
no subject
"Thank you. I think I will put that on hold and save your offer for when I want a night to enjoy myself. Do you have any preference for when I do contact you..? I wouldn't want to intrude on any plans."
The idea of flying the night away, even if she was not piloting, would definitely be a nice way to enjoy the night and perhaps get to know Thundercracker better. Saber simply didn't want to hold him away from anything important due to her not putting a specific time.
no subject
Thundercracker shrugged, shaking his head. "No, whenever's fine. I don't really have any set plans." He had duties to that he'd obligated himself to fulfill but no one had given him a schedule for doing them.

Of course, yelling isn't going to get Saber's attraction. McCoy quickly throws up his hands from a distance, trying to catch the girl's attention. Short of jumping up and down, his arms are flailing rather wildly. "C'mon!" he can't help but shout, wanting to stop Saber from further endangering her life.
where are they, if you don't mind?
The motorcycle immediately slows down after a quick turn, approaching the waving figure. It doesn't take too long for Saber to recognize who it is.
The motorcycle stops ten feet away from the doctor, and then the knight removes herself from the motorcycle after its shut off.
"Ah, McCoy. This is the first time we've met in person, I believe. Are you enjoying the weather?"
Such pleasantries. Saber was in an exquisite mood.
ah, pfft, my bad - anywhere near Solus's temple?
McCoy points to her head, lacking the helmet.
"Which makes me wonder if you're feeling suicidal; in that case, as a doctor, I must admit you to a hospital." He's joking, of course, but his tone is still a little sullen-gruff.
no subject
"Aye, aye. I'd have a helmet if I were able to crash, be harmed noticeably in an accident, or even be seen by a doctor for treatment. None of those situations apply to me, so I simply enjoy the open air on the ride."
It was quite a ridiculous statement to make, but it was all so true. Saber's driving skills would never let her make a mistake, and even in a crash.. she wouldn't be harmed beyond maybe bruising for a few days. Well, maybe some gashes and whatnot if it was a serious crash. And a normal doctor would not be able to treat the Heroic Spirit.
"I think I have said it before; I do appreciate your concern. ..But when placed on me, it's.. utterly a waste."
The knight looked out towards the area around them and then back to the doctor as she smiled softly. Saber wasn't one to be very open with her state of being or what she truly was, but it had come up a few times. If the doctor pried, she would tell him what he wanted to know.
no subject
"And why's that?" he asked, folding his arms. "... I'm gonna take it you aren't as human as you look. Seems that's not too unusual here. So, what." McCoy raised a brow. "Your species' biology heal wounds fast? You got skin like armor?" He was only semi-serious with his suggestions.
McCoy shrugged. "I don't mean to pry," and he didn't really, "but as a doctor, it is sort of my job." He sneered. "Even if I will apparently never have you as a patient." Which isn't a bad thing, necessarily.
no subject
..Actually, due to Avalon, being cut in half wouldn't serve near as many issues as it had when her Master was Shirou.
He may not have been serious, but she was. All of the blood packs, drugs, or procedures of the world would not do for Saber what a simple night of rest and a good meal would do.
no subject
McCoy squinted. "So, there's no need for medicine of any sort with you? Do you get sick at all?" he asked.
no subject
Saber tilts her head slightly as she speaks, and watches for McCoy's reactions. Despite how ridiculous it sounds, everyone always reacts to her background in a different way. ..It doesn't help she always tells as little as possible, and is ridiculously blunt with it.
no subject
McCoy shook his head. "Nevermind," he said. "But still. Don't endanger yourself either way." He sounded like a chiding father, but oh well.
no subject
Saber was open to anything else he wished to voice. If anything, ..she hardly felt lucky. Saber had always felt amazingly inhuman, and funnily enough, so did all of her knights and people and that's what ended her reign.
As the sour memories surfaces, her mouth tightened slightly, but she showed no other negativity.
