WHO; Shira and whoever wants to play "chase the kitty"!
WHERE; Between Vector's quadrant and the Junkpile.
WHEN; Before Megatronus goes to fight the Big Bad.
WHAT; Shira is totally not panicking. Well, maybe she is, but just a little!
WARNINGS; nope. Well except if she feels the need to use her teeth. No interruption by Centipedes is expected.
Shira thought she was in Hell. Or somewhere similar. Whatever. When she had woken up, one hour earlier, all she had seen was that huge... thing, made of that slick and cold material and the feline had just bolted. It was moving, so maybe alive and it could totally eat her if it wanted, and Shira certainly wasn't going to stick around to see what it would do. She ran through the corridors without stopping even once, easily climbing a few walls. The saber toothed cat hadn't noticed it, no doubt, but the strange thing around her neck, the "Link", had turned on after hitting the floor and was now displaying her escape to all those who were bored and looking for new frequencies: though they had better have a strong stomach, because it was a hell of a ride, the cat easily jumping around.
Soon enough Shira escaped the strange building and entered a strange plain, littered here and there by even stranger objects. Only then did she stop, looking above her shoulder to see if the strange thing had followed her.
It hadn't.
The feline sighed, relieved before looking around. Everything was made of that hard material, and the scents were all wrong. She hardly recognized any. Where was she? Where was her herd?
"Diego!" Shira called, but her mate didn't answer. She couldn't find his scent in the wind, or whatever passed for the wind here. Even Manny's scent was nowhere to be found, and you could usually smell him from a mile away! And let's not talk about Sid's!
She was alone. There was not other conclusion. Shira was alone in Hell, without the herd, the family, she had just found. The cat barely managed to contain a roar of anguish and began to pace. What should she do?

And it could talk.
...Raf blinked, took off his glasses, then rubbed them in a vain attempt to clean them. Clearly he was just mistaking it. Maybe a Cybertronian with a different form...?
"What am I doing... I'm just trying to get through." He put the glasses back on, blinking once more and-
That was still a tiger.
no subject
"You are alone?" She took a step closer, sniffing the air to catch his scent. "You seem a little young to hunt on your o- Wait. Did you just talk?"
Humans couldn't talk! Never! What the hell?! Astonished by the fact she was talking to a human, the feline sat up and noticed that like this, she was almost as tall as he was. Small human!
"Since when can you talk? This is amazing!"
no subject
And did she - it? no, the voice sounded like a 'she' - just accuse him of hunting? Well, scrounging could be like that, he guessed, but...
Another blink.
"...since I was a baby?" he ventured, deciding that...big teeth or not, she didn't seem to be threatening. He relaxed, just a bit. "And I know, it's dangerous to be alone here, but I'm pretty quick..."
And small. Small could be good, he'd learned.
no subject
"I never heard of human being able to talk before." Shira said, not moving from her spot. Even though he was young, he was still a human, and they liked have cat fur as clothes. What if he had a hidden weapon?
She tried to appear as non-threatening as possible, fascinated. A talking human! Wait until Diego heard about that one!
"Quick is not enough sometimes. You should be with your..." She stopped, frowning slightly. "What is the word for a pack of humans? Your... 'tribe'?"

Raf was about to bring up how he'd never heard of an animal speaking before, but- reconsidered. "Maybe...we just haven't been speaking the same language," he tried, a little slowly. Of all things...
A pause. And then, he shifted uncomfortably.
"Family, actually, but...there aren't many other humans here. But Ratchet's still family, even if he's not human." A lot of Cybertronians were, now, in a way.
no subject
Well, except if you piss her off or something.
"Not the same language? Why? We all speak the same language. Even the preys! Even giant sloths, and you can believe me when I say there are no creature in the world more stupid than a giant sloth. Especially if he is called Sid."
" 'Family', hm? I didn't know it was called like that, I will remember it." Unable to contain her curiosity anymore, Shira stood up and slowly walked toward the talking human. She kept her ears up to try to show her good intentions and not scaring him or something.
"What is that 'Ratchet' if he is not human? Oh, and by the way, my name is Shira. What's yours?"
no subject
Saber-toothed tiger?
He stood his ground...stood it very still, to be fair. She was quite big, in more than just teeth. But there was curiosity, there - he was just as worried about spooking her as she seemed to be of him. Maybe...
"Ratchet's one of the Cybertronians - you know, the big machine-people?...have you been here very long?" Maybe not. "And I'm Raf. Nice to meet you, Shira."
no subject
But she is way more beautiful, of course.
Soon enough, Shira was close enough to the young human that she could touch him with her nose if she wanted. But there could still be a weapon hidden somewhere, and it is a risk she is not willing to take for now.
"I saw two of those 'big-machine people: one very big, the other smaller and blue. Blurr, I think he was called? He said this world belonged to them. And I haven't been there long no. But I might stay for a while, if what Blurr said is true."
no subject
"Blurr....I think he's on the police force." Which meant that he was a good guy. "And I think we're all staying here a while, whether we want to or not..."
no subject
Oh well. It's not like Shira had never played with something dangerous before. The feline carefully sniffed the offered hand: his scent was... strange. A little... metallic, she guess? Like the veins you sometimes found between rocks and that shone in the sun.
"Have you been here for long, Raf? With you "big machine" friends?"
no subject
Now it's...hard to say. He misses home, but this is becoming another home. Resignation, maybe,..?
"I'm pretty sure less than a year, though."
no subject
That was more than depressing. That was unacceptable! She had just found her herd! Her mate! The one she wanted to spend her entire live with and she was just taken away like that? Oh no, boy. She wouldn't accept that.
"I am sure there is a solution. We just need to find it, I guess."
Shira allowed him to touch her fur, still looking at him intensely. She didn't think he would try to hurt her or anything, but she had to be careful.
But the poor kid seemed so small and so lonely for now that she was will to sacrifice a little of her personal space if it made him feel better.

Sometimes he just wished they had more of a timeline. He'd like to know if he'd be here for more months, or...years. At least they had some decent food, compared to the cans he was surviving on when he arrived...
...
Oh.
"Um...you eat meat, right?"
no subject
Shira gently headbutted the hand touching her fur, trying to be reassuring.
"Well, yes. You thought those teeth were to eat what? Leaves?" The feline chuckled. "I talked about it with blurr. I can live on eggs and fruits if there is really nothing help. Though my fur might lose some of its shine."
And that was a shame, because Shira just loved her silky silver fur. Oh well.
"I can eat fish as well. There is no lake around there? What of water?"
no subject
"I was making sure-!" he managed, grinning a little bit. "There's water - a couple lakes. I actually haven't seen any fish but...that doesn't mean they're not there."
He felt awfully stupid, but...he'd never really thought to do a real look for them.
"I'll find out."
