[Open - Communal] Meet 'n' Greet!
WHO: Anyone! Hosted by Wing, Vectorians especially encouraged.
WHERE: One of the larger upper platforms in Vector Prime's Quadrant.
WHEN: Now
WHAT: Mixer for Vectorians and general social gathering for everyone.
WARNINGS: None yet. (But there's booze so...at the very least there might be bad karaoke)
Upon entering Vector Prime's domain it's obvious that things are a foot. The typically serene atmosphere is enlivened with notes of music and the murmur of voices punctuated by the occasional bubble of laughter that filters down from the upper heights, a soft glow of illuminating one of the larger platforms with a structure built on it. Colorful streamers fly from crystalline light poles, marking the way through the various crystal bridges and small platforms, until one reaches the large terrace on which the gathering is situated.
A large pavilion-like structure, enclosed on two sides but otherwise open to a majestic view of the gorge and beyond, shelters the bulk of the gathering. Its roof is several stories tall, enough to accommodate their First Forged benefactor should he choose to join them, and what could be considered a dance floor sprawls off to the side. The platform edges have been lined with a railing here unlike most of the others, to waylay any highgrade assisted trips into the gorge itself. Along another wall, nearest the open area, speakers and other equipment have been setup to provide music and other entertainment. One of Vector Prime's Acolytes greets newcomers with a simple nod, and may later be seen looking after the replenishent of refreshments as needed.
Tables of typical Cybertronian height line one wall, where tapped cylinders of softly glowing energon, both standard and highgrade, sit alongside cubes waiting to be filled. Various pieces of make-shift seating suitable to the average mech are scattered around. Central to the pavilion is a wide raised platform, about waist height to the average Cybertronian, designed to allow the shorter attendees to converse with their taller robotic fellows at eye level. Human scale ladders allow access to and from the floor, and occupying the platform is a buffet table accompanied by several mis-matched chairs.
The buffet table is covered with an eclectic assortment of refreshments and serving implements more suitable to organics, mostly non-perishable pantry type goods, (you can be certain there's Twinkies!) along with a odd collection of various alcohols including a bottle or two of whiskey. At the end of one table sits an old refrigerator on its back, now tasked with being a simple ice box, filled entirely with chunks of clean snow and ice from Liege Maximo's quadrant. Accompanying it are wax paper cups and a pitcher of fruity syrup that smells reminiscent of Kool-Aid. (make yourself a snow cone!)
The pavilion is attached to a larger building, two doors at the rear of the pavilion each lead to two separate rooms. One that appears to be in use for the storage of unused supplies and materials while the other is filled with makeshift seating of various sizes, creating a more relaxed atmosphere. To the rear there is access to a second floor, the rooms of which appear to be currently unused.
Barricade and Soundwave have agreed to provide musical entertainment for the evening.
Miko may play some guitar for us if we can find a way to power her amp.
Wing will perform a traditional narrative sword kata with some musical accompaniment.
Vector Prime himself may make an appearance at some point as well.
((---This is COMMUNAL log and designed to be a mixer, so post to note your attendance and then tag around!---))
((If you'd like to do a game, performance or other activity feel free to make a post for it and let me know, then I'll highlight it here.))
((I tried to set a foundation for the scene but leave a lot of stuff open, so feel free to embellish where you like. We have access to pretty much anything that's mundane though likely it comes from the Junk Pile. Feel free to have your character bring something if they want.))

Blurr noticed the frown and gave him a questioning look. "It'ssomethingwrongsir?"
no subject
And there was nothing in the current conversation that had anything to do with science.
"... You arm---" He transferred his vague frown to Blurr's arms, one at a time, and then back to Blurr. "No, I don't think so. It's merely been well over four million years since I had high-grade, which does carry a slightly different compositional energy signature and atom structure from energon which hasn't been treated in the same way..."
Someone said something about not making this about science? Jetfire was more focused on Blurr and the energon in itself, however. "And it was only recently I had something approaching to a proper, full-capacity energon, which then was distracted by the months Starscream and I were out of our dimension."
The Keep, after all, hadn't had the best sort of energon, and even less a lot of it.
no subject
"Starscream cut it off during the monster attack. Well one of the Starscreams THE one from Ratchet's world." Jetfire might have more luck with that science-related conversations if he can find one of the resident doctors.
"It's been many solar cycles since I had any high-grade energon too but I never worried much about it." Blurr still didn't know what to do with the idea of Jetfire and Starscream being in friendly terms. "...ah."
no subject
"Do you know why?" Yes, he wouldn't question that it happened, because he could see it... Though he'd more expected to hear "shot me with a null-ray" but that was due to his own experiences and expectations of what any given Starscream might be capable of.
"Mmm, yes. Energon in general has also been dwindling in availability and purity for the longest time," he said with a shrug, noting the last little uttering with a questioning tilt of his helm. He had no idea what it related to, and so couldn't ask further.
Since, to him, the comment about him and Starscream being out of their dimension? The important part of been "out of their dimension" not "with Starscream"... Which obviously made clear his own thought process.
no subject
"That seems to be common in many other universes Wheeljack mentioned it to me too THE first Wheeljack not the new one that showed up a few days ago THE one that likes explosions."
Blurr processor caught up on that after a few clicks. "And was sort of dimension you two were trapped in?"
no subject
He frowned at the energon again and then shook his helm. There was really nothing off with the taste or the texture, so he wasn't sure what was pinging as off.
"Indeed. I exchanged stories with an Ironhide in the place Starscream and I was before, and the lack of energon was similar there as well..." Jetfire trailed off, and then nodded slowly. "It was similar to this one inasmuch that individuals came from different dimensions, but there was only I, Starscream, an ironhide of a very curious design and thus from another dimension than us, and later a Ratchet that is similar to the one we have here..." Jetfire frowned down into his energon as he talked, thoughtfully taking another sip and this time not really noticing the slightly gentle twirl along his fuel-lines.
"The space was limited to an area around a human fortress... there was no sun in the sky, but still light, with night and day, and I would assume there was some sort of forcefield around the place, as the sky had a very hard but invisible limit."
He would just not mention the questionable parts. No need to dwell.
no subject
"Barricade mentioned living in place like that before he arrived here but I don't think it was the exact place as the one you are telling me about IT'S a bit upsetting to thing that so mane universes have that sort of places. A forcefield?"
no subject
Of course, the projected lower-end number of universes (in any given multiverse) would make intersections possible but they should probably be rarer than what the number he'd heard of or been to suggested.
"Yes. It seemed like the most logical explanations for lack of a sun with light and warmth still present, even if there was no energized feeling in the resistance when it was felt..."
