[Open Log - One last time]
Who: Open
What: Megatron has calmed down enough to say a few last words.
Where: Megatronus Prime's Arena
When: Today
Notes: This follows Megatron's rampage around the Haven. After being subdued, he asks that he be allowed to die fighting Optimus Prime. He's unstable, but he will talk to any who approach. You may also act as one of his bodyguards if you think your character would be so inclined.
It shouldn't have ended this way.
One of the few pieces of his mind that was still intact could not let go of that idea, thinking on all the Megatrons he had met, and their wars, and how far they'd gone and how it never stopped because they were too stubborn to die.
He'd been too stubborn to die, himself, once or twice.
The transtechs had seen to the rest.
Now, he was here, choosing death.
He found it preferable to the thought of losing himself completely, gone long past where anything he'd stood for might still reside. He owed that much to Soundwave--for breaking his mind and mending it all at once, letting him remember who he was even as he lost control of himself. Now, he was only holding on by threads.
If he could fight, then he was still real. If he could fight Optimus...
...well, then, something was still right in the multiverse.
There was no better way to go.
Still, he paced restlessly at the edge of the Arena, uncertain how long he could hold himself together or how long the Firstforged that owned this place would permit him to remain. There was only one way this could end.
He just wished he could look forward to that ending, once and for all.

"I am always on the job so to speak. It's not in our contract but I thought it couldn' t hurt." The racer replies with a brief smile and then leans back, relaxing slightly.
"I don't know what I am now, factions are no more here. The mech you know is just...me. It wasn't like this in my world, I HAD responsibilities but I wasn't in charge or something as big as the Police Force. But then I got here and months passed and we had no legal system to rely on that could ensure safety and I thought something like that needed to exist. I was lucky that other agreed with me. It's hard to do things when you are alone." He glances at Megatron, the tired smile still gracing his characteristics.

Soon.
"If ever there is a time for peace, then there will need to be no factions." Partially because it stirred up bad memories, he knew, and partially because he doubted Decepticons would rest until every last Autobot was dead. "Remind me of that, if another version of myself shows up."

"I will. I promise." And he had to say it again. "I'm really happy I got to meet you at this time and moment." He knew how most of the Megatrons in the universe ended, the paths they chose and the bridges they burned on their way. It was nice to meet the one that hold the dream. The one that all that wanted at first was a better future.

He nods, and pulls his hand away before it can tighten, before it succumbs to the noise and the temptation of another mech so close. Blurr was not of his world. Blurr was not part of the problem he'd been fighting.
"Of all the things I expected to hear...that is not one of them. However...if I've made some difference myself, that helps. It is one thing I can take with me."
His fist clenches, nevertheless, overwhelmed briefly by the unfairness of the situation.
"You should go," he whispers, his treads twitching on his back. "I need all the concentration I can get."

"'Til all are one?"
