[Open] Egg painting!

Who: Yuuta and you!
What: Painting eggs and finding shiny things to glue on them
When: Backdated to maybe a few days ago.
Where: The edge of the Junkyard - closer to Police HQ
Warnings: None, unless you're allergic to arts and crafts.

Yuuta had promised Kagerou some eggs, hadn't he? The Junkyard had a plethora of materials to make them out of, though unfortunately, Yuuta can only collect so much for materials, his size and strength limiting him a bit. His 'eggs' aren't quite as grand as he'd hoped they would be, and now he sits in front of a couple vaguely egg shaped items, ranging from a marble to a small egg timer to a vaguely round stone that comes up to his knee.

There's also a large rock he's leaning against, but he hadn't moved that as much as attempted to roll it and instead gave up to make the spot his workplace.

Purple paint can and paint brush in hand, Yuuta diligently works on covering all the 'eggs' in the color, though more gets on him than anything else.

He's collected quite a bit. He'll be sitting here a while if he means to color every one of the 'eggs'.

Everything is so tense. The whole of the Haven just feels off. Starscream is missing again, Vandal is still gone... it's an uneasy feeling, and he's taken to flying patrols just to get up off the ground, and put things out of his mind for a while.

The last thing he ever expected to see while flying was the boy -- no. Yuuta. Sitting in the junk pile, covered in paint.

It's enough to make him stop, hovering in the air high overhead. What could Yuuta possibly be doing down there? And all alone, at that. Wasn't anyone with him?

Air cycles through his vents, and the 'bot drops down, landing a few feet from the boy, his head tilted to one side. He still can't tell what it is that's happening here, but he doesn't yet make a move to approach and find out just yet.

"... Boss?"

The word still sounds so strange to say. It comes out halting, awkward.

Yuuta jumps at Kagerou's voice, banging his head against the rock he's leaning against, and turns to the robot with teary eyes. "K-Kagerou! You scared me!" Then realizing what he'd been doing, Yuuta tries his best to stand in front of the paint can and the baubles, though it's probably too late by now.

"H-hey! What are you doing 'bout here, Kagerou? A-ahaha." He nervously clutches at his pants, smearing more paint over them. It's not exactly that the eggs are a surprise, but well. They're supposed to be a gift! So. "Did you need something?"

To his credit, he actually looks surprised, and a little embarrassed, to have startled the boy. His one optic goes wide, and he draws back a step, until Yuuta manages to recover. "I... didn't mean to," he admits, quietly. "I didn't realize you'd come here alone."

He tilts his head, looking at all the paint, including what's smeared across the boy's clothing. Seriously, what was he doing out here?

"I'm looking for missing people," he says. "Vandal and Starscream..." Still standing a fair distance away, he crouches, slightly. Maybe that's less intimidating. "What are you doing here?"

"It's alright," Yuuta grins sheepishly, rubbing the back of his head and coating his hair in the paint as well, "I just wish you and Shadowmaru would stop taking the ninja thing so seriously...."

Yuuta frowns at the mention of missing - he's still sore over losing Deckerd. "I can't say I've seen either of them. Miss Vandal seemed like a good person. I hope she's alright." He shakes his head, "Sorry I'm no help, Kagerou."

A nervous smile crosses his face at Kagerou's next question, however. Awkwardly shuffling his feet, Yuuta kicks the paint brush he left on the ground further behind him, "I'm - I'm working on something!" Something for Kagerou. "Special project! Top secret!"

"You have paint in your hair," he says, blandly. As if he's commenting on the weather or something like that. But the mention of the other ninja makes all his attention perk up. That's probably sad. "Do we... really?"

Maybe he shouldn't have asked. The thought flicks through his mind as his face falls, briefly. No one's seen either of them. They couldn't both be... "I do too," he says, at length. "She teaches me things. Like... new words. I don't want to lose a friend like her."

He straightens, his head tilting nearly all the way to one side as he tries to get a look at what the boy is hiding. "Then... I can't help? You don't need anything?"

"Ah," Whoops. Yuuta rubs at his head trying to get it off, but it only really spreads more. "I guess I'll need a bath after." Not that it wasn't obvious before. "You guys do! Shadowmaru refuses to use the main door like everyone else - crawling around the vents all the time.... It's gotta be uncomfortable! And you pop up out of nowhere! That's definitely too ninja like!"

"I'm sure they'll come back! You're looking very hard, after all!" Though Deckerd never had.... Yuuta shakes his head as if the physical motion would take his mind off it. No bad thoughts. "New words?" That sounded fun! "What kind?"

Yuuta squirms and shuffles over to keep his project from Kagerou's view. He doesn't want to refuse any help, but this is supposed to be for Kagerou! It would be like cheating if he got help from him. "N-nope! Not at all! I've got this!"

Says the person who couldn't move his own project materials.

"I could put you in the lake," he offers. It seems like a good solution to him. But... it must be a miracle. The corners of his mouth twitch, something dangerously close to a smile flickering at the mention of the other ninjabot's activity. "We are stealth units. How else would I have taught him to operate?"

And then it fades. It's back to seriousness. Starscream had come back once, but no one else. Including... His gaze settles on the boy, and, slowly, he holds out a hand, offering mute comfort before answering the question. "She taught me a word for an annoying person," he says. "She said it's 'buttfuck'."

When Yuuta shuffles, he settles backward. "If you're sure..."

He doesn't want to be in the way, after all. Though he does sound hesitant to agree.

It's been a while since Tuck has been out and about, but he's enjoyed his time within the confines of Marvelous's ship a little too much. The thing feels a little more like home, if he can imagine it just right. But now and again, he'll have to sneak out. You know he does.

Besides, there are supplies to out and collect. So, out he goes into the world again. Along the way, he happens across this scene and, being the curious git he is, he can't help but stop by say hello, at least.

Tuck waves with one hand as he approaches, stepping lightly over the debris. "Hey there. What's all this for?"

Yuuta's a bit startled at Tuck's appearance, but he blinks and shrugs it off. Aliens or alien looking people aren't new around here - and neither at home, really. Instead, Yuuta grins and waves back with a paint splattered hand. "Hi! This? 'S for my friend. I'm going to make him eggs!" Because he's a bird with a nest but no eggs. And that's terrible, isn't it?

"D'you want to help, Mister? I have other color paint if you don't like purple!" Yuuta came prepared, you see.

Cheiftain was looking through the junk pile, only really avoiding the place that he had arrived in. For some reason it felt upsetting to him. He happened upon Yuuta and took a moment to look at what he was doing, trying to figure it out. When he couldn't he decided to try and ask.

"What are you doing?"

Yuuta startles a bit at Chieftain's appearance, though the large 'bot's steps keep him from being too surprised. "Chieftain!" he greets, grinning and waving a brush, "Are you feeling better?"

"I'm making eggs! For Kagerou, since he's a bird." And has a nest. "Would you like to help? It'll be fun!"

He smiles and crouches down closer, trying to get a good look at what is going on. "Yes, they repaired me well. Thank you."

He cocks his head to the side and puzzles over it for a moment. "Eggs? If they are for Kagerou I would like very much to help. He has been very nice to me."

Yuuta's grin grows. "I'm glad! You look better."

"He has, huh? That's good! I think I'll need some help." He smiles sheepishly as he leans against the large boulder. "There's a lot to paint after all! Or..." He could always use more eggs right? "Do you think you can help me find some eggs? Not real ones, but egg shaped things! I need big ones 'cause they're for Kagerou!" And he couldn't pick those up himself.

He sets one hand down near the paint, careful not to tip any of it over, or crush any of the stuff that Yuuta has collected. "I think my hands are a little too big to help paint. But I can find things... or even make some." He sound confident in himself at that.

It's not eggs Raf is looking for, though he's managed to find a few other useful items. Mostly things like copper and a few other things he thinks he can solder; he's picked up a bit of technological aptitude, and if nothing else, he can bring back a few circuit boards to others for proper identification...

That's not an 'other' he's familiar with, though. In fact - they're human!

"Hey!" he calls, waving a hand.

Yuuta blinks and looks up from his work, looking around for the direction the voice came from. He brightens when he sees Raf - he'd assumed most of the people here were robots or adults. "Hi!" Yuuta waves back enthusiastically, standing up and dusting himself off (meaning wiping paint over his thighs). "I didn't think I'd meet another kid here! What are you doing out in the junk yard?"

Definitely a human! And they look not too far from his age, too! Grinning, Raf shoulders his bag, quickly making his way over.

"I'm just trying to see if there's anything I can use to build with- what about you? Is that...paint?"

He found paint?

Raf leans, trying to see past him.
