A ship is a ship is a ship [Backdated]
WHO: Wheeljack and Friends
So if you've gotten the coordinates from Wheeljack, you'll find that he's stationed himself just on the outer edge of Solus's Quadrant. Away from all the rough terrain that seemed to occupy most of the space there. Surprisingly, it's well pegged and marked off, with supplies piled high and tarps galore. One would actually think someone COMPETENT made this! Well, Bulk DID help. There aren't TOO many people here yet, just Wheeljack (and probably Bulkhead) setting up frames so the metal doesn't fall over. They seem pretty busy, but you can go converse with them if you need something to do.
There's a large robot-sized table, with plans laid out that show a ship. Cute, in design, don't you think?
Or, if you happen to be passing by Solus's Quadrant and you didn't get an invite from Wheeljack himself, feel free to see what's up with the Wrecker and his buddy. Primus knows they could use all the help they can get.
(ooc: there'll be minature posts, one to recieve your 'job', and the each one's respective jobs where you can mingle! Also, feel free to cross over and discuss with other 'jobs'. Anyone who's built anything knows that everything functions TOGETHER instead of separate. So feel free to converse!)
WHERE: Ship building site just on the outskirts of Solus's Quadrant
WHEN: Backdated Feb 28th
WHAT: BUILDIN' SUM SHIPS
WARNINGS: N/A

Everything we could get our hands on. Which made for a logistics nightmare, let me tell you. It was an old freighter, first. Which should give you an idea of what mess I had to work with.
[He gives him a level look.]
Partially, yes. Considering I spent the first portion of the incident kidnapped.

Well with little atmosphere in space you don't need anything considerably powerful, just enough to get you goin'. Without gravity or inertia, you'll keep going at the same speed.
I guess it was just getting thrusters IN that was your problem. Freighters aren't meant for speedy climbs into the atmosphere. Or climbs up there at all. Unless we're talking intergalactic.
[Wheeljack stop.]
...
Before you came here, there were Sharkticons, and yes, they are what ya think they are. Monsters tend to swarm at random times. It's kinda their thing.

Not to mention the entire thing had been decommissioned before we located and overhauled it.
[Well fine he'll just sass you then.]
... But have there ever been any in the air?

...
[Bring it.]
Do you know why the 'high ground' is so important in a battle?
no subject
... do I look as if I know anything about combat?
no subject
In a battle, the higher ground gives ya an advantage. I would know. Was trapped in an Energon Smeltin' pit with Cons surrounding the edges. Wasn't an easy victory. Bein' higher up makes it easier to pick off with little to no fighting back.
Air strike? Very good thing. And if ya think the Cons'll help out bots in one of these fights, you better recalculate.

I'm not assisting you in building a weapon, Wheeljack. A tool of warfare.
That wasn't why I came here.

Look. I'm not gonna start fights with it. But if we don't have some kind of defense, and something attacks it, then we just spent all this time building a ship for nothing. It's a sitting duck in the sky if ambushed.
It's how Seaspray was lost. I'm NOT losing men on this ship.

[He gestures around him. As if there were some invisible ship to see.]
Protecting itself is one thing, of course. That, I... regrettably... understand. I would have to be stupid not to.
You made it sound as if you intended to use this as a... as a warship. And that, I, morally speaking, cannot involve myself in.
[There's a beat.]
... Who?
no subject
But...I'll behave enough to refrain from attackin' other bots. How's that sound?
[At the 'who' question, he gives a dismissive handwave.]
No one.
no subject
... But very well. And I will hold you to that.
[His head tilts. You can bet he'll remember that, as well.]
I see.

If you have a cube, you can drink it.
no subject
Ya can't drink it and still have a cube of Energon afterward.

Right.
[He walks over to the table, grabbing a datapad with all the internal schematics.]
This should be everything. Let me know if I missed anything important.
I didn't, though.

I'll be certain to inform you if I require more data.
no subject
Yep.
I'll be here.
