A ship is a ship is a ship [Backdated]

WHO: Wheeljack and Friends
WHERE: Ship building site just on the outskirts of Solus's Quadrant
WHEN: Backdated Feb 28th
WHAT: BUILDIN' SUM SHIPS
WARNINGS: N/A

So if you've gotten the coordinates from Wheeljack, you'll find that he's stationed himself just on the outer edge of Solus's Quadrant.  Away from all the rough terrain that seemed to occupy most of the space there.  Surprisingly, it's well pegged and marked off, with supplies piled high and tarps galore.  One would actually think someone COMPETENT made this!  Well, Bulk DID help.  There aren't TOO many people here yet, just Wheeljack (and probably Bulkhead) setting up frames so the metal doesn't fall over.  They seem pretty busy, but you can go converse with them if you need something to do.

There's a large robot-sized table, with plans laid out that show a ship.  Cute, in design, don't you think?

Or, if you happen to be passing by Solus's Quadrant and you didn't get an invite from Wheeljack himself, feel free to see what's up with the Wrecker and his buddy.  Primus knows they could use all the help they can get.

(ooc: there'll be minature posts, one to recieve your 'job', and the each one's respective jobs where you can mingle! Also, feel free to cross over and discuss with other 'jobs'. Anyone who's built anything knows that everything functions TOGETHER instead of separate. So feel free to converse!)

[Dammit, there you go talking about engineering again. He sort of... stares for a minute, before shaking his head.]

Everything we could get our hands on. Which made for a logistics nightmare, let me tell you. It was an old freighter, first. Which should give you an idea of what mess I had to work with.

[He gives him a level look.]

Partially, yes. Considering I spent the first portion of the incident kidnapped.

Don't you lecture me on astrophysics. I'm well aware of how spaceflight works, thank you. It was less the issue of atmospheric friction and more the fact we would be running all of our systems on exceptionally limited fuel.

Not to mention the entire thing had been decommissioned before we located and overhauled it.

[Well fine he'll just sass you then.]

... But have there ever been any in the air?

I would prefer it if you didn't.

... do I look as if I know anything about combat?
sciencetank: (You're not speaking real science.)

[Oh, he does listen. But as he does, his expression darkens.]

I'm not assisting you in building a weapon, Wheeljack. A tool of warfare.

That wasn't why I came here.
sciencetank: ("Till All Are One" quote goes here.)

That wasn't what I was attempting to say. Nor was that how you made it sound.

[He gestures around him. As if there were some invisible ship to see.]

Protecting itself is one thing, of course. That, I... regrettably... understand. I would have to be stupid not to.

You made it sound as if you intended to use this as a... as a warship. And that, I, morally speaking, cannot involve myself in.

[There's a beat.]

... Who?

Extermination still greatly implies catastrophic loss of life. Of which, I am naturally opposed.

... But very well. And I will hold you to that.

[His head tilts. You can bet he'll remember that, as well.]

I see.
sciencetank: (Drift who? Never heard of him.)

... Yes you can.

If you have a cube, you can drink it.

You didn't state it that way. You said you cannot have a cube of energon, and then drink it.

From your fundamentally flawed point of view, yes.
sciencetank: (Grimlock stop breaking my shit.)

[personal profile] sciencetank 2013-03-17 08:21 am (UTC)(link)
I was under the assumption we were here to build a ship, not discuss the nature of energon and cubes.

[Perceptor follows, his expression calm and neutral. He reaches for the datapad.]

I'll be certain to inform you if I require more data.

As will I.

[Checking everyone's work.]
