So if you've gotten the coordinates from Wheeljack, you'll find that he's stationed himself just on the outer edge of Solus's Quadrant. Away from all the rough terrain that seemed to occupy most of the space there. Surprisingly, it's well pegged and marked off, with supplies piled high and tarps galore. One would actually think someone COMPETENT made this! Well, Bulk DID help. There aren't TOO many people here yet, just Wheeljack (and probably Bulkhead) setting up frames so the metal doesn't fall over. They seem pretty busy, but you can go converse with them if you need something to do.

There's a large robot-sized table, with plans laid out that show a ship. Cute, in design, don't you think?

Or, if you happen to be passing by Solus's Quadrant and you didn't get an invite from Wheeljack himself, feel free to see what's up with the Wrecker and his buddy. Primus knows they could use all the help they can get.

[The rookie was rather excited to help out ship, wanting a chance to be useful in some way. Everyone else had found ways to pull their weight around Haven and he still felt like he was at a standstill for a reason--though he knew the cause. He just didn't want to dwell on it more than he had to because they were supposed to move on. Stay strong. Stick together.

Except Ratchet had been pretty MIA as of late and it had the rookie worried.

Maybe Bulkhead and Arcee knew what the medic was up to. He'd have to ask them.

Arriving at the work site, Smokescreen transformed and streched some, bouncing on his pedes a bit, ready to get started.]

[Wheeljack had unintentionally gotten a bit fond of the rookie. From what he'd been told, Smokescreen was pretty much the 'replacement him', but from the looks of it...he didn't mind so much. He had spark, and his eagerness to please was a good trait to have in a bot. Maybe a little goody-two-shoes, for him, but anyone who idolizes Wreckers and knows their motives is a plus in his book.

So when the newbie rolls in, those blue eyes flicker happily.]

Was wondering when you'd show, kid.

[He goes over to Smokescreen, putting him in a playful headlock and 'ruffling' that helm.]

Hey, lemme go!

[There's a tinge of laughter in his voice as he playfully tries to struggle away, doorwings flicking happily at the attention he's getting from the other.

It always means a lot to him to know that others are actually, you know, happy to see him.]

I'm not that late! ...Am I? I didn't think I was.

[After keeping that headlock for a moment, he jerks the Autobot free, playfully shoving that helm.]

Right on time, for a rookie.

[He chuckles, waving his hand. It's easy to see he's just playing with you.]

Thought I'd put you with Sarge for this. I heard you two are quite the team.

[Smokescreen playfully swats at the other when he's free, ducking away as his doorwings flick about happily.]

Am I ever going to lose the rookie title?

[His vents cycle in a mock sigh before he perks up at the mention of a certain scientist.]

Sounds good to me. What are we doing?

You will! When we get a new rookie.

[He looks at the datapad again, putting a finger to his chin.]

Internal wirin' it seems like. You know, control systems, projection screens, weapons activation. To put it simply? All the buttons.

Oh gee, great. So I'll always be the rookie.

[It's not so bad...Okay, maybe it is but well, he'll deal with it.

He shifts a bit closer to the other to peer at the datapad, grinning when internal wiring is mentioned.

Typical place to put Perceptor.]

I can definitely help with that. I'm not super great at it but I know enough that I can help. Plus, I'm sure notdad won't let me mess anything up.

[Wheeljack can't help but laugh, slapping him on the back.]

Better than what you'd get named as a Wrecker. I'd keep 'newbie' over what I was called.

[He tilts it a bit to let Smokescreen get a better look.]

It's how you learn. Never good at somethin' till you do it, right? And you're right, Percy's a maestro at this. You're in good hands.

Wait--what was your nickname in the Wreckers?

[You can't just bring something like that up and not tell him, Wheeljack!

The rookie nods, a look in his optics that makes it clear just how much he looks up to Perceptor.]

[He pauses, as if making Smokescreen wait for it is all the more pleasing.]

Guess one little secret won't hurt.

[His ..whatever-wings twitch a moment, tapping a finger on his helm.]

Well, wasn't exactly the largest of our group. Called me by what I was in the one gladiator fight I was in--'Scrapper'.

...No question, kid. You're Team Prime. That's enough for me.

Scrapper huh?

[Smokescreen smirks a bit, crossing his arms over his chestplate.]

For some reason..it's kind of fitting.

[He'll save that name for special occasions. Everyone has to have a nickname to be called after all!

The rookie visible perks a bit, doorwings quivering happily as Wheeljack praises him in a way--because being recognized as a real member of Team Prime is a big honor--grinning brightly now.]

It means a lot. Really. Now, I should probably go find notdad huh?

[That hand 'ruffles' his helm again, but it's playful. It's nice to see an Autobot actually...proud. Back in the day it was a lot more common. Everyone now just seemed...tired. Smokescreen's a rarity.]

Ahhh yep. Give him my regards. And try and convince him to put in weapons activation. He doesn't seem to think we need em. I could use the support.

[Ducking away from the other's hand, Smokescreen mock salutes him as he walks backwards away from the older bot.]

Will do! And I'll see what I can talk him into~

[His optics flicker in amusement before he turns and bounds off to find Perceptor.]
