WHAT HAS SCIENCE DONE
WHO: FoC Perceptor & The Driller
WHERE: The Driller's Nest
WHEN Following the events in this thread.
WHAT: Perceptor held against his will by a tentacle monster? ... who only wants to see more fireworks.
WARNINGS: Driller.
He'd started to lose track of time down here. Sure, his internal clock was likely as accurate as ever. But with an utter lack of any other frame of reference for time, it's hard to reconcile days passing. It would have been easier if he'd had his Link. But that had been knocked out of his hands when Wheeljack had jumped on him.
At first, he'd explored the... nest. After all, hideous circumstances aside, the scientific curiosity was always strong -- and he had never witnessed a creature like this before. When he was released, it was only natural to see what he could learn from its lair.
He'd stopped after coming across the pieces of bodies.
There were some things even Perceptor didn't want to know. Maybe it was for the best -- considering he couldn't recall the last time he'd refueled, and the utter lack of the substance in this 'nest'. Staying put behind some bit of debris and hoping irrationally that Magnus had been contacted seemed like the best bet for the moment.
...
Until the creature returned, at any rate.

That and this one wasn't as bad as the white Autobot. This one just struggled like normal Cybertronians, the white one was bad and needed to be eaten. This one didn't really attack, so it was okay. Maybe it would be allowed to keep it for as long as it wanted. Then it could see all kinds of things! ...And eat the things.
When the Driller returns it coils itself up in the nest, opening its cockpit and taking out some energon with a tentacle, dropping it in front of Perceptor. What follows that is a few scraps it found at what was left of his lab.
Its master is busy, show it things.

He's not expecting energon to be tossed his way.
Energon... and what looks like extra-strength epoxy. Not to mention a few empty sample jars, a welding torch, and pieces of a heating unit.
Very slowly, he peers out from where he's crouched.
What on Cybertron is it doing...?

Eventually it rumbles, head turning down to the pile of things and then back at the Autobot in front of it. It's around science enough of the time that it knows it must have certainly picked up some science things. Its master would be so proud at how good it was at retrieving science things, look at all this practice it was getting in with it's Autobot.
A tentacle moves, gently pushing the objects forward, the creature letting out another soft rumble.
It would like to see more tentacle things. Master never did that kind of science, and master wasn't in trouble so it didn't need to leave. It could have this Autobot show it all kinds of things. Oh yes.

He keeps ducked down, watching it. No sudden movements. It hadn't reacted well to Wheeljack's... performance earlier. Caution was best. Caution was always best when dealing with something like this. Especially something that could, potentially, kill you.
When all it does is push the items forward, he ventures forward a step, out from behind the debris.
Slowly, he picks up the energon.
"Thank... you?"
