PRAEXIS
WHO: Kay, Wrex, Rocket, Blurr, Cliffjumper, Ventus, Garrus (holy moley)
WHERE: Junkpile, at the sight of thje crashed frigate PRAEXIS
WHEN: Backdate to DECEMBER 28th
WHAT: Clearing out the site and gathering the goodies
WARNINGS: There will be fighting >8c
The crashed frigate lay partially buried by trash of every which make and origin. Near the front of the craft there was a massive slice of the ship that had been cut open, a mark left from what ever battle it had been pulled from. That was their entry point. The group was set to be gathered at that opening, where several damaged pieces of metal structure and debris could be used as seating and the entire ceiling had been melted open.
To the front of the ship was what remained of the Bridge, where rows of navigational computers flickered on either side of an elevated catwalk, attempting to come online with the emergency power and failing. The pilot's seat lay at the very end of the ship. To rear was the Praexis Command Information Center - where the ship's Captain would have stood were the ship still operational. A damaged, unintelligible hologram flickered wildly in place.
Beyond the CIC were two doors, one which leads to the comm room, the other to the elevators to access the rest of the ship. The elevators themselves had collapsed to the bottom of the ship, but the shafts were still intact, and could be climbed into. Proper maintenance shafts built for anything near the size of a turian were also in this back area, leading to the different areas of the ship via ladders.
Though there were signs of fighting marking the walls of the ship, it was devoid of any bodies.
Deck 1: Bridge. CIC, comm room
Deck 2: Crew Quarters, Med Bay, Armory & Batteries/Mass Accellerators
Deck 3: Engineering: Computer Core, Drive Core (Completely sealed off)
[deck plans for reference]
ooc: On Deck 2 one may find the Captain's body, which looks suspiciously similar to Garrus himself.
Also, Marvelous' mun is currently on hiatus, so his role will be handwaved.
Tag order will be first come first serve.

"Everything clear on the other side?"
The flanged voice of the turian comes through for anyone who'd linked up their communicators to the private comm channel. Signals tended get less the farther they strayed from the temples, so he was going to make pretty damn well sure it was functioning right.

"If anything, it ain't go any other easy entrances or exits easily available. Its that, or nowhere, unless we or whatever's in there makes their own exit," Cliffjumper said as he nodded to the gash they were going to use to get into the ship. He still wasn't sure about the group Garrus had assembled.
Not because organics, but because there were at least two children.
Not that he wasn't used to that in some manner, but Sephie, Will and Rick were nearly adults, and Buster hadn't been too young either.

This was gonna be one pain in the ass of a mission. He was over behind a pile of debris, peering over at the large opening. This was getting to be Virmire all over again
"So far. Doesn't seem right. Should've been a good body count. If I know turians, we're gonna be expecting company."
He grit his teeth with every word. That'll teach him to get wasted off ryncol.

He knew that Kay and another small human organic joined the team and he went to his room to retrieve something. There were only a few supplies left from the store that appeared months ago and the only reason he still had those was that they were too small for normal mechs to use. And thus this is why Blurr arrived with a Captive bolt pistol and a Soldering gun.
"Greetings."

"Looked clear when I came in," he offered helpfully. When Blurr came along, he boy gave a nod in greeting. "Hey."
no subject
Not that he was going to let that show.
"Looks alright, mate. Nothing weird going on," he responded to Garrus over his comm unit, tail flicking as he rested his free paw on his pistol out of habit. "We waiting on anyone else or are we getting to this?"
no subject
Oh no. That was the voice of a very familiar teenage girl. And what was she armed with? A butterfly knife. Yep. Girl brought a knife to a gunfight. What a smartie. But Garrus had said she could come, so here she was, and she was ready to D-d-d-duel!
"Don't go in without me!"
Guess she totally forgot about that whole...staying behind thing.
oh god a big fat tl;dr
"Alright. Looks like everyone's here.",he stands up, comm open so that Rocket could hear the plan. The orange omni tool flickers before projecting a clearer, 3-dimensional layout of the ship. Highlighted were three main decks.
"The techno-organic life signatures are coming Engineering deck of the ship. A little investigation tells us all entrances are sealed off - including the maintenance shafts. The rest of the ship is clear of hostiles.", the appropriate area of the ship is highlighted, near the belly of the craft.
"Going by the scans? We're going to be outnumbered. So we're going to have to use these shafts to our advantage." The elevators and the smaller, snaking maintenance shafts are highlighted on the projected display.
"Blurr and Cliffjumper can climb in through the elevator shafts, break open the doors and begin the main assault from the entrance of the Drive Core. Draw their attention.", the elevator exits are highlighted on the display. "Wrex? You can support them with your biotics. Groups of husks should be easy targets once they try to climb up through those main walkways."
The computer core is highlighted as well, opposite the elevator and Drive Core,"Watch your backs. They'll be coming in from both sides. Retreat back into the shafts if you have to. And whatever you do, don't risk shooting the Drive Core. If that thing starts leaking element zero then we all have to get out of there, fast."
Alright, onto the next phase. The maintenance shafts surrounding the 3rd deck are highlighted,"Rocket and I can use these shafts to flank them while they're distracted. A second attack should keep the damn things disoriented. Make sure they don't swarm in any one direction."
"The only problem is that we don't have a means of removing whatever's blocking the maintenance shafts.", an eye glances towards Ventus, keeping in mind that the kid had mentioned he had some sort of power. It was a task far away enough from the main firefight to make his mind rest a little easier.
And he has a role for you too Kay, he just needs to get this little conundrum fixed first.
/eats it :3
"Shouldn't be too hard. If they're blocked or heavy enough we can't bend 'em open, I could make a bomb and get them open that way." Small enough charge it'd just blow the doors open, nothing more. Despite the large cannon he's looked over and regretfully put away, Cliffjumper does have some moderation.
He does cast a glance over at Blurr, because he's pretty sure Blurr doesn't have a ranged weapon... But then again, they're going to be larger, heavier and more armoured then their foes, and Blurr's fast.

Wrex still had reserves about going out with giant synthetics. But it was the chance for combat and how could he refuse that? He eyes the entrance, then back to Cliffjumper. These guys better know what they were doing, he wasn't going to put up with any bullshit as the snort had shown.
He radioed in, "I'll rip through them before they even know how to breathe."

After that, he listened to Garru's plan while tilting his head to stare at Cliffjumper's arsenal in a silent question. There were always tensions when new teams were formed, he chose to ignore those in favor of getting things done.
He also notices Cliff's glance and smirks, deploying the energy saw weapon of his hand.
"Up the elevator shafts is then."

His attention shifted easily to the omnitool's projection of the ship. He'd never seen anything like it before! "Whoa..." Ventus breathed as he looked at the layout Garrus provided for them. He did his best to listen as the Turian gave a rundown of the situation and their plan of attack.
"If the ways are just locked and not damaged, I can probably unlock them with my Keyblade," he offered. He'd had no problems using it around here so far, so he figured the doors in the ship were similar in design.

He did miss working with a team.
His ears flicked and he snorted softly, a small smirk appearing as he started to check over his pistols, leveling one at the ship and closing one eye just to check the balance as he responded to the comment he heard from Wrex.
"Make sure you leave some for the rest of us, you scaly bastard. I want my chance as well," he mused, lowering the pistol as his tail twitches, the raccoon itching to go.
EDITED BECAUSE LYLITH FOUND MY OOPS!
But when her little description didn't come, he face falls slightly, looking at Garrus and waiting...expectantly. Was she really just here to tag along?
But...she wanted to help...
"Mr. Garrus?"
But then Blurr steps forward, handing her a pistol. Marvelous had already ran her through a crash course in guns, so she's not entirely afraid to take it, but smiles. At least SOMEONE had the right idea.
"Thanks Mr. Blurr!! I can make use of this no problemo!"
And like...an actual responsible person, she turns the safety on. Yeah. Lookit her go.
no subject
To the whole group:"Lets all get into position. I'll give a signal on this channel to begin the assault."
But, one more thing... He turns to Kay as she is given the pistol, noticing she seemed to know... some basics of handling it.
"Kay, I'm going to need you to be our lookout. When we're down there, we won't be able to tell if anyone decides to take a little visit from the outside.", everyone he's met's been civil so far, but he's not taking chances on getting ambushed in there. He turns around to face the torn hull of the first deck, indicating what would be a good vantage point for her,"Just use the commlink if you see anything."
no subject
Pausing before going inside, though, at the comment of where Kay would be during all this. Potentially out of harm, yes, but...
"Sounds like a good idea, but we're all gonna end up quite far inside the ship; if somethin' comes by, or even gets past us and out, are we gonna get out here in time?" Using the Link while frowning into the entrance they'd be using, Cliffjumper was pleased that it at least didn't look as... ah, omnious as the bunker Grimlock had been hiding in.

The other mechs here...well Wrex hopes Garrus knows who he's dealing with, outside of the raccoon and the kid. He swears, he
always got lumped into these freak shows.
"Hope you gave the kid a pistol at least," remarked the krogan on the state of one Kay Faraday. He felt like it was a little irresponsible on Garrus' part. With those parting words, Wrex goes on the move.
"Ready when you are."
no subject
"There's nothing that can get past me twice. I will catch up with it in time if that happens."
Blurr replies, trying to sound more reassuring than cocky. He follows the red mech inside, frowning when his headpsike scratches the ceiling. The area looks clear so far and he moves to the elevator.
sgohfghaef I'M SORRY I FORGOT IT WAS MY TURN
If he was going to do things, it would be with a weapon he was comfortable with. Not to mention handy, especially if those sealed shafts were going to prove a problem. The boy held his right hand out to the side to summon up his Keyblade, and it appeared in a flash of light, a fairly solid weapon tinged gunmetal gray and antique gold. He spun it to hold it in his preferred reversed grip, nodding to the others.
