And Ignite Your Bones
WHO: Barricade and OPEN!
WHERE: All over the Haven
WHEN About now-ish
WHAT: Barricade returns to the Haven after an absence
WARNINGS: n/a; will update when applicable
Barricade had shut his Link off shortly after he'd left the Haven, in the opposite direction from the Badlands. He'd seen it and there was nothing there for him; better to explore a little farther than he had before, while he gave himself time to think.
And to get as far away as possible so he could send transmissions out on old lines he rarely used anymore. No one was going to answer, but saying everything out loud, sending it all into space... had helped. Gave him a chance to breathe a little instead of keeping all of it in. None of it was anything he felt comfortable sharing with other mechs here; the last two he could have were... well.
That was why he'd gone in the first place.
Eventually he had to come back, though. Even if it was really rather nice out there. Seeing stars again... erupting volcanoes. Get past the whole rocky terrain thing and this Cybertron wasn't really too bad. But it was the bugs that brought him back. His headlights had attracted a cloud of the things and the trails of them leaven the Haven led him back. Like some stupid song.
So he'd come back.
(Option 1)
Barricade waves a few of the robo-bugs away from his headlights as he finally enters the Haven again, taking a look around before eventually heading in, intent on giving it the full once-over before heading to a certain spot that had gotten his attention when he'd turned the Link back on.
(Option 2)
He'd caught the mention of a graveyard out in Alpha Trion's quadrant when he'd turned the Link on again. He exvents as he approaches it, slowing to a stop. He'd disappeared for a while, but... time to pay his respects now. Stay a while with a little bit of quiet for once.
(Option 3)
Eventually he has to leave the graveyard behind. He can't stay there forever, after all. Once he decides to leave, he heads back to Solus Prime's temple. He could use a good cleaning... and finding someone that might be able to explain why that symbol on his shoulder has gotten larger. It's disconcerting and in this case, he definitely needs answers.

I did talk with the lady. Briefly, but it was interesting. She's impressive looking. [And he likes big mechs.] She was busy exterminating bots that were losing their mind, I'm not sure where she is now. What's happening to your Glyph?
no subject
Dealing with the Glyphless. I was around, but... busy, myself. [He pauses, looking to his own Glyph for a moment.] I have no idea. What I need t'speak with her about. Here's hoping it isn't doing something horrible to me, though.
no subject
Yes. [Knock Out gives the glyph a critical look.] Does it hurt?
no subject
Nope. Just glows, so far.
no subject
Really.
But he fails, spectacularly.] ...OH, too bad I wasn't there to see it.
More than before?
no subject
Mm. More than originally. It's been glowing like this f'r a while, though. It's bigger than it was last time I looked.
[Which is the part that concerns him, really.]
no subject
Maybe you did something that affected it. Did you try any sort of strange energon lately? I could run some tests.
no subject
when you live in a Michael Bay universe.]Nothing out of the ordinary; took the usual rations of the usual type out with me.
no subject
Something in the environment could have affected it. Why don't we go to the medbay and I have a proper look at it? [Not like eh wants to get you in a berth or anything.]
no subject
[Did he miss Ratchet being overcharged? Because that would suck.]
Suppose we ought to. This isn't some sort of dastardly ploy, is it? [Not that he would object too strongly if it was the pleasant kind of ploy.]
no subject
[High-on-synthetic-energon!Ratchet is not as fun as it might sound. He punches people.]
[Knock Out just gives him a smirk.] You will have to figure out that all by yourself.
no subject
[His experience with Synth-En has been rather limited, obviously.]
Mm, how very mysterious of you~
no subject
[That is a good thing.]
Always. [He tugs him along by the arm. Mooooove.]
no subject
[Which never happened, since Barricade got angry at him about unrelated things shortly after.]
Well, I can hardly complain. [Hey, no need to tug, he's walking.]
no subject
[That was probably for the best.]
Hm. [Then walk faster. And in front of him so he can admire your aft.]
no subject
[Which he does for everyone, admittedly.
And since he's the one that knows the way, he shall. Enjoy the view of Dat Aft and the light bar in the small of his back; he is very good at swaying them both~]
no subject
[Oh he appreciate it, yes. Keep walking~]
no subject
He will. Especially since he knows the way .]
no subject
Good boy.]
no subject
Though, once he finally reaches a medbay, he shifts on his feet and motions Knock Out in. After you~]
no subject
What a gentleman. [Your time to watch him strut around then.]
no subject
I can be, from time to time. [With the ulterior motive of watching Knock Out strut around. Mm, tasty.]
no subject
[It's a thing worth watching. He looks around the medbay and picks up one of the medical tools, inspecting it.] Hm...you all work with this?
no subject
Most of us. I prefer using what I have on me naturally, but if I need something particular for the work... [He's not unfamiliar with the tools around here.]
no subject
I keep my tools at hand too. [At that, he turns his arm into a drill. Enjoy the puns.]
