You're Gonna Let It Eat You Away
WHO: Ventus (
happyduckbutt) and OPEN
WHERE: Lakeside, Alpha Trion's Quadrant
WHEN A couple of days after the resolving of the Glyphless
WHAT: Restlessness, reflection, and slight disturbing of the peace.
WARNINGS: --
Several splashes marked the passing of the first stone, the ripples marring the smoothness of the lake's usual surface before the offending object was swallowed into its depths by common laws of physics. From the water's edge, the blond-haired keyblade wielder watched as the ripples spread slowly until they seemed to vanish back into its original stillness, at least so far as he could see. He looked down at his hand, tossing the flattish rock that he held before taking a step back to counter his balance as he pulled his arm back to skim the rock across the water's surface, just as the first.
This one didn't go as far, making only a couple of sloppy skips across the water before disappearing with a plop. It kind of reminded him of how he was feeling. It hadn't been a week since everything had happened, and it wasn't anything he could forget any time soon, if ever. Things here hadn't stopped, the injured were being tended to, and here he was, feeling a little lost.
Thinking about the things Saber had told him, Ventus still didn't feel satisfied for the things that had to be done, even though such seemed the only way to resolve things. He wondered if talking to any of the Firstforged would help either, but he'd been hesitant to try. They were probably busy with things too, and he figured they had a lot of things to consider as well.
With a sigh, the boy stooped down to pick up another rock to toss. He rubbed his thumb over its flat surface before he looked out at the lake again. Drawing a deep breath, he swung his hand back and then hurled the rock forward, a series of plips and splashes following.

"I have not done much exploring. Would you show me somewhere that you enjoy being?"
Was Saber trying to cheer him up? Perhaps. She did realize she brought him to a graveyard, of all things, when he was not feeling his best. Besides, she was curious what types of areas this lad enjoyed. And a little relaxation time always helped.

"Well, the lakeside is one of them. But if you haven't seen it yet, I know just the place to start. You ready?" He didn't want to take off if she wasn't prepared, after all.

"Yes, go ahead," the knight responded. She was standing with her legs slightly more apart than usual to take the initial movement of the flying device with ease.
Saber had not relaxed much since arriving, and somewhere to sit and think and recollect herself would be grand. She'd trust Ventus with his choice in locations.

Nodding, Ventus took them up as soon as he'd received Saber's go-ahead. He directed the glider up towards the beacon that stood as the Haven's main source of light.
Prima's temple was located south of Alpha Trion's lake, but rose high above the rest of the area. He brought them down just in front of the temple's entry, pointing out towards the magnificent view of the Haven that stretched beyond its edge.

"Yes, this is lovely, Ventus. Thank you."
Walking over to the side of the entry so she would not be in the way, she looked towards the lad for a moment before nodding.
"I think I will meditate to clear my mind. Feel to leave if you have other places to be."
Lowering herself to sit in seiza-style, her dress gathered around her as she brought her hands into her lap. After a few moments of looking around, she'd close her eyes and fall into a meditated state for as long as she needed to. Maybe a few hours.
After all, she had experienced much since arriving that perhaps she hadn't fully absorbed yet.

"...I don't have anywhere in particular that I need to go. If you don't mind, I'll stick around."
He watched the girl sit down, remaining standing for the moment himself. It was all too easy to be alone in this place, so Ventus wanted to enjoy what company he could find. After a while, he sat down, leaning back on his hands as he looked out thoughtfully at the rest of the strange, cold-looking landscape.
