was it me you're looking for... no probably not
WHO: Dead End & Miko
WHERE: The Junkpile.
WHEN After Glyphless event?
WHAT: Miko looks through the junk pile. Finds a brightly coloured Decepticon instead of what she's looking for. Dead End wasn't really looking for a human kid either.
WARNINGS: None.
He's hungry. Not starving, but certainly hungry. Although these days it isn't often for him to not be hungry. Energon barely does a thing, and sure Wheeljack will spare him and provide a meal, but it's only partial and not nearly as filling as if he were to get an entire power core. One power core can only fill him for so long, and only part of one? Not nearly long enough.
So he's hungry. Nothing new there. Sure he could give the Wrecker a call, but with all the chaos going around and bots dying left, right and center, he might just be able to nab a full meal. And who would miss another bot with such chaos? Probably no one, would even notice that he was the one to kill this potential victim. It was perfect, but more importantly it was a meal.
If he could find anyone still trudging around in the junk pile anyway.
Maybe luck would finally like him for once.
Maybe.

She rounded one of the piles and came across... a very bright mech. Instead of doing the smart thing and making sure she was safe before she said anything she blurted out her first thoughts.
"Wow... you sure are bright looking."
no subject
Dead End slowly turns around, catching sight of the small human. Why is there a human in the junk pile? Uh...
"Yes."
Small human he is looking for food, not wandering around so people can insult his paint job. Can't this wait until later?
no subject
"Neat! Do you glow too? Cause if you don't you should, it would look really good with your colors." She shows no fear as she works her way closer to him, a great big grin plastered on her face.
no subject
"Glow?" He blinks, staring down at the human. Aside from his optics, mouth and swords, no. No he doesn't glow.
He shakes his head, "I don't glow. Wouldn't work out for me."
If his whole paint job could glow... Well he'd end up dead when he sneaks around to kill people.
no subject
"What if it was something you could turn on and off... But really glowing stuff would go great with your colors!" She looks around a moment before working her way up the pile a bit more, so that she wasn't so far down.
no subject
"It'd get broken far too often," he vents a sigh.
Likely from whenever he'd get the misfortune of being beak up. Or a stunt that is simply too rough. Constantly fixing that kind of thing along with his paint job. No. He'd never leave a good looking corpse that way.
no subject
She gives him a look like she can't quite believe that.
no subject
"I get beat up a lot." Not here, but back home when you get hit just to fight where you get hit more, then scratches and dents, breaks. It was all pretty common.
"Besides, don't exactly have anyone here to do mods like that."
His wings drop and he awkwardly shuffles in place. Is this human done talking to him yet? He's not an Autobot, and he didn't actually ask to talk to a human right now.
Human if you like the colours go convince Wheeljack to change his paint. It'd look the exact same.
no subject
She looks him over again, finally realizing why his body shape was so familiar.
"Hey, do you know Wheeljack at all?"
no subject
And he doesn't exactly know Barricade. At all. So that's right out of the question. His paint job was staying as it was, and he wasn't changing a thing. As things should be.
...
The Decepticon exvents and turns his gaze away.
"Yes I know Wheeljack. Yes I know we look alike."
no subject
She shrugs, it had been a suggestion, no harm no foul.
"Heh I was just wondering, so you are from our universe... what side are you on?"
Maybe not the smartest question, but he hadn't squished her yet or made any attempts to.
no subject
With his luck he's quite serious.
The question takes him aback slightly. It's. It's not that hard to figure out. She did say our, so she was probably one of the Autobot's pets on Earth. Probably.
"Yeah, same universe..." as for whose side he was on. He lifts a hand and just taps the neon green Decepticon symbol on his shoulder. Hey the thing needed to match his paint job if he was going to sport one around.
no subject
She smiles at first until he taps the badge, then she frowns just a little.
"Oh, I missed that earlier. You don't seem like one of the cons who is just nasty cause you can be though... are you like... an okay Decepticon or something?"
After what she has seen here she figures it's better to ask and find out than assume, after all one of the Starscreams here was a friend until he disappeared.
no subject
"An okay Decepticon...?" his voice is laced with confusion, if the look on his face wasn't enough to clue in that he has no idea what she means.
An okay Decepticon meant what exactly? It's not exactly a term he hears often... Or at all.
no subject
no subject
"You'd probably ruin my paint job." Stepping on her would do nothing good, considering how squishy humans were. He'd hate to see what the insides of a human were like.
"And I bet the Autobots would have a fit, use me as target practice or make some game about throwing me into walls... If they aren't already planning that."
He wouldn't doubt it.
no subject
"Probably on the ruining your paint job, and you getting beat up too, Bulkhead is pretty protective of me." She shrugs. "But as far as the planning on getting you already... Bulk has other things to focus on and I haven't heard anything about it from others."
no subject
"Don't see why they'd tell you," he shrugs, turning away.
"Everyone always beats me up."
Even his own teammates, in fact they probably beat him up more than the Autobots did, but that was likely just because they were around him more often.
Sure he hadn't been beaten up here yet, but it was only a matter of time.

Dead End does nothing more than stare, he's not quite buying that. A human was made a Wrecker? She couldn't be that durable.
"You do realize that most of the Wreckers died right? It's not a job you take unless you don't plan on living."
He still doesn't buy it. Autobots letting a human take a title that could get them killed? Seemed unlike them and their attitudes towards anything that wasn't a Decepticon.
no subject
Tell that to Hardshell, not that he could hear anything now.
"Most of them may have died but I'm keeping Bulkhead and Wheeljack alive. They are important to me."
That last bit slips out but she doesn't try to cover it up, knowing it will only draw attention to what she said.
no subject
"Wheeljack likes you." It's less a question and more Dead End vocalizing it to get it through his processor.
This wouldn't end well, considering the kind of people the Wrecker attracted. Himself included.
He crouches down so that he's closer to face level with the human, his posture more neutral than hostile. Like he said, he wasn't interested in hurting her.
"Yeah that's great. You're still human and can be killed a lot faster than they can. You'll probably die before they do."
no subject
His words, rather than his closeness, are what make here step back a little and look away.
"Yeah, you guys live longer, but that doesn't mean I can't keep them alive as long as I am alive."
no subject
"Can't protect them if you get crushed in battle, now can you." If she was intending to keep them alive, that would mean that she'd have to follow them into fights... Whenever those happened.
"Humans are very durable, from what I know."
Admittedly, he didn't know much about humans, but it seemed clear enough that they were easy to kill. Didn't have that great armor either.
no subject
She had every intention of staying beside her Wreckers, and keeping them alive.
no subject
Even by accident, one wrong step and this human probably wouldn't survive. Or at the very least that's the impression he's gotten of humans. Easy to kill, small - mostly annoying. It wasn't like either Wrecker could watch this thing constantly to stop that from happening.
"You'll probably die pretty fast."
no subject
She puffed up and tried to look intimidating.
"We are tougher than we may seem."
no subject
No way this kid would last.
"But not that tough."
He didn't need to go to Earth to understand that.
no subject
"I'll show you. I'm just gonna keep on surviving, and then we will see who's right."
no subject
Not that he's trying to continue arguing with her, but things always end badly, it was only a matter of time. Sure the kid's luck was probably a million times better than his, but she was dealing with Wreckers. Lucky bots, but that luck had only lasted so long for most of them. It'd rub off on her.
"Shouldn't you think about doing some human things instead?"
no subject
She looks at him like he had just suggested she walk out to the bottom of the lake.
"I was actually around here looking to see if I could find anything neat. If you want to go I'm not going to stop you."
no subject
Yes. Like surviving. He guesses? Really what do you say to that, to some human that definitely has the Wreckers' hard head.
"Anything neat?" He questions, looking around for a moment.
"Like all the stuff here that could crush you?"
Because there were a lot of big things around. She was probably going to get crushed by just looking.
no subject
This guy is a nervous wreck, wasn't he? She decided to see if she could freak him out.
She moved a little to the side and 'slipped' a bit, letting out a scream at the time.
no subject
Really, he's seen things you wouldn't believe. Or his imagination when it comes to death is completely out of control... Possibly both.
Not that he has any time to explain his thoughts as the little human kid is slipping and screaming, and he can't help but jump. Wings perked as he missteps and falls backward.
Congrats Miko, you found the easiest Decepticon to defeat.
no subject
"You fell for that?! Oh slag that is too funny!"
And she continues laughing, not paying attention to what kind of reaction the bot might be having to her laughing at him.
