digging through the trash.
WHO: Saber, Ventus, and anyone who wants to join in.
WHERE: The junk pile!
WHEN: A few days or so.
WHAT: Simply looking for things of value/use in the junk pile.
WARNINGS: None!
It seemed to be the only way to find what she was looking for.
Walking between the giant piles of.. miscellaneous items, Saber found herself wondering how long these items had been dropping here, and what rate. When people had mentioned junk pile, she was expecting a few small piles and maybe holes filled. Not this.
Since she had been here for an hour or so, she had started a small pile of canned food she planned on carrying back to the Rec Center when she decided she had enough. She'd come back to the small pile, drop off a few more items, and then go explore in another direction.
At first, she had hardly been touching anything, but now her armored gloves were proving useful in ways she hadn't thought of before; it helped her sift through things without the risk of her hands being harmed.
Well, she wouldn't keep doing this too much longer. The more she searched, the less likely she figured she'd find what she wanted.

He'd completely forgotten to ask Alpha Trion about it, but the conversation had drifted more towards matters of the Glyphless and the Lambda for all that had been recently happening. He wasn't sure it would be a good time to ask again as he suspected the Firstforged might have their hands full trying to figure out what was going on with that.
"-huh?" Almost missing the question, it took him a moment before he replied. "Oh, well yeah. Um, I don't know how I'd do against any of the Cybertronians if it came down to it, but I do know how to fight." He'd been considering asking around if any of the robots would be willing to spar with him.

"If you would ever be interested in training with someone, let me know," Saber responded, nodding solemnly as she said it. "And.. if you ever need help otherwise.. I am here."
She understood some people would not easily accept offers of help, but she gave it regardless. No human would really have the capacity to take on a Cybertronian, unless they were extremely gifted someway or another. And it was unreasonable to expect that of everyone.

"I'd like that. And you let me know if you need any help too, okay?"
Ventus was the sort that appreciated an offer for help, and just as quickly was willing to offer right back. He was one chosen by a Keyblade, after all. It was his job to help and protect people.

Saber knew how to only use swords, but when it came to sparring, it mattered little what weapons were involved. Still, if he also used a sword, they could at least exchange techniques.
"I use a sword, exclusively."
Although shields were often a trademark of the knight, Saber had started training at a young age and had been able to barely a wield a sword at first. For her to be able to properly wield her large blade, there was no room for a shield.

"Well... I use a weapon called a Keyblade. So I guess you could say it's used kind of like a sword." From the reaction others had had every time he'd made mention of it, he figured perhaps it wouldn't hurt to provide a visual as well. "Here- I'll show you."
The boy held out his hand to the side to summon Wayward Wind. Light coalesced into a vague form before flashing into a solidified weapon of dark gray and gold metal tones. It indeed bore a stylized key-shaped form, its length having a slight curve to it.

"I see. Is that linked to magic or..?"
Unless he wasn't truly human, just being able to summon a weapon to your side was special in itself. In this type of environment, it made Saber thankful she could simply summon her weapon at will, instead of having to carry it around as she had to in her normal lifetime.

"It's... kind of? It's linked to me, anyway. There's only a few of us chosen to be Keyblade wielders. My friends and I have been training together, but only Aqua's become a Keyblade master so far."
A wistful smile touched his face as he mentioned his friends. There was no denying that he missed them. Sighing, the boy dismissed the weapon, keyblade vanishing just as it had appeared.

"I was chosen to wield my blade, as well."
The knight stood, a gentle smile on her face as she looked at the boy.
"I will be returning to the Rec Center with my finds. I do not doubt the possibility I will be back frequently to this location, as I have yet to find what I was seeking."
Saber turned towards her pile of cans. Yes, this was definitely a good time to retreat to the Rec Center. She'd be unable to easily carry anymore than her current find.
"I will be awaiting communication from you on the Link about a practice meet. It was a pleasure speaking with you, Ventus."
no subject
"Likewise, Saber." He smiled again, offering a nod at her. The boy definitely looked forward to what a sparring session would bring.
"I'm not sure what you were looking for around here exactly, but maybe I can help you next time?"
Ventus looked back towards the pile of cans that the knight had already gathered, hopping to his feet then. "Actually, need help right now? I don't mind, and it'll save you a return trip."

As she took a few steps, she stopped, and looked sheepishly to the side.
"I do not entirely expect to be able to find what I am looking for here. I'm seeking for.. a suit to fit to my size."
With her living in modern times, she had disliked wearing civilian clothing, at first. It, however, grew on her, and she wouldn't mind the choice here. As Saber mentioned, she wasn't expecting to find it, so she had also turned her searching into something more productive, like finding canned goods.

He set the bag down again once they were by Saber's can stacks, shoving aside some things in the sack to make room for a few cans.
"A suit? Oh... Well Kay told me she found stuff for curtains around here, and now and then you might find some stray clothes of some kind. I don't know about anything specific like that." Ventus tilted his head, pausing a moment before he eased another can into his sack.
"But maybe someone around here can make you one? I have...a little experience in sewing but I've never actually pieced together something from scratch." Only altered a dress, which was an interesting experience, especially when you were only about several inches tall at the time.

As Ventus was moving cans into his sack, Saber was stacking cans in her arms. Once she was finished stacking to the point that she was concerned they'd fall over if she attempted to stack one more, she'd stop and allow him the last few. She had taken the majority.
"If you would lead the way, I'd appreciate it."
After all, she couldn't see in front of her feet.

Ventus glanced over his shoulder, just getting a good look at Saber's own load. Lips quirking, he nodded before speaking up- right, she probably wouldn't be able to see.
"Okay, sure," he said, turning to start along, looking for the most level path to take.
