This is totally not as creepy as it looks like
WHO: Starscream and whoever wants to bother him.
WHERE: Various places, he's just flying around.
WHEN: Now.
WHAT: Killing things
WARNINGS: ... monster death?
Starscream didn't care about rallying with the others. He didn't even care what the so-called first forged wanted or were interested in. Nor did he care about anyone who might need protection.
What he did care about was finally getting the opportunity to slaughter some things. It had been far too long since he had the chance to unleash a rain of fire upon an enemy. Jetfire made those sort of things slightly ... difficult.
But he'd worry about that later.
For now he opened fire on the various creatures blow. He stuck to the air for the most part, using his null ray to neutralize most before he landed in for the kill.
It brought back quite a few memories actually -- enough so that he moved towards one of the mechanical-now-dead things and crushed its head with his foot. But that was the most merciful thing he managed before he tore open the creature and ripped out a gimbal.
If he was going to be here awhile, he might as well start collecting trophies.

It was a long time ago he'd had the chance to observe the Seeker while in the heat of battle, and like it or not (and Starscream's ability - or lack thereof - in the arena nonwithstanding) he was certainly an impressive sight.
Suppressing a static sigh and a shake of his helm when he saw Starscream rip out a gimbal, Jetfire merely hefted his rifle which he'd finally found a few days after arrival and fired... the shot going somewhat above Starscream and slightly to the left, killing a a curiously larger metal shark-like creature.
He didn't think Starscream would have missed it, so it was strange that it had survived the onslaught.
Since everything else was dead in the area, Jetfire transformed back to altmode and just waited for Starscream to either come back up in the air or get hung up on how he'd killed the last sharkticon.

Mostly for stealing his kill like that. He didn't need anyone's help. So he huffed over to the new corpse and ripped something out of that too.
"That still counts as mine, I took it down first. Not you."
He wanted to make sure that was very clear as he shot up into the air, staying in root mode even as he approached the larger jet's position.
"And why aren't you out doing the goody goody hero protecting people thing instead of stalking me?"
no subject
"You're included in that as well, you know, whether or not you need the help." Jetfire was honestly surprised there was no comment about him being unable to stay away, though, admittedly, the stalking one wasn't a lot better.
"I was in the area and noticed you. Besides, I have some vested interest in you remaining... whole." Giving Starscream an arch look from under a slightly tilted helm, Jetfire drifted closer, turning to point towards another clump of these "monsters" further away.
"Fight with me, for a while?" He'd prefer to just go flying with him, but presently this would be a more effective use of time and resources... And it wasn't something they'd ever really done before.
no subject
He was aware that was not what Jetfire had meant, but he couldn't help himself anyway. That was just how he was: overly irritating to others 90% of the time.
He smirked and might have said more if not for Jetfire pointing at yet another group of monsters. Starscream was enjoying the thrill of the fight. The battle.
Too much time had passed since he had the opportunity to just slaughter things. Sure they were mostly mindless creatures. But it was something.
He was certain Jetfire wouldn't agree with the sentiment. But what did he know anyway?
"Fiiine," he spoke with a drawn out and exaggerated sigh, like it was the worst suggestion ever.
"But no kill stealing."
His expression switched back to a smirk before he took off to start shooting at things.

And if Starscream had said any more, he'd probably have gotten kissed. Just to shut him up. And better these than other sentient beings.
"I'll do my best not to." Chuckling, Jetfire gunned his engine and took off after Starscream, transforming as he did so, and maybe it ought to have been some sort of warning, but flying in a corkscrew pattern around the Seeker, Jetfire easily could predict where the shots would go through the air, and could thus avoid hindering Starscream in the barrage of fire he was laying down.
Jetfire himself chose a single target, a creature of a type he'd killed earlier, that had taken more effort than it should have after his scans and estimations.
no subject
It wasn't as though he really needed to help Jetfire.
"Ahhh the joys of random killing. Is this terrorizing your Autobot sensibilities yet? You know, the whole killing without mercy thing. Or do they have to be more alive to count?"
Harassing Jetfire verbally was one of Starscream's greatest talents ... but at least this time it wasn't meant with much malice. It was mostly just regular harassment.

Of course, in altmode, this was more a question of maintaining proper balance, since winces translated into a shiver along his wings, ailerons and flaps twitching, which wasn't good for perfect flying.
"Considering we're doing this for a reason, and further, since they can't be reasoned with, any other methods of persuading them would need time and research... Which then necessitates this method," Jetfire said with a huff as he raised his altitude, flying in time with Starscream but above him, and aiming beyond where the Seeker himself was shooting.
... So maybe some of that was justification, it was still an unavoidable situation.
no subject
Of course Jetfire couldn't, that wasn't in his nature. Which is why Starscream made the comment.
He moved off to the side before his jet mode twisted and went above the larger jet. All in all, he basically ended up flipping himself around so that he was flying next to Jetfire instead of below him.
"Sometimes things aren't deserving of your goody-goody efforts, Jetfire. Like the guys down there, who'd probably rip your processor out. So why even let it bother you?"
no subject
"I do what I have to, not because I enjoy it... Not like you do." He knew Starscrea, enjoyed it; he'd even liked it back in the arena when the fights hadn't been deadly as far as Jetfire knew, even if he had no details about that.
Which he had, and did, preferred.
Turning on his own axis for a full roll while keeping the same course as Starscream came up beside him, Jetfire sighed.
"Just because I don't take pleasure in it doesn't mean I can't do it... Now, at least." He could easily acknowledge that he hadn't been very... fast at it before. But that was awhile ago, and he... didn't like that.
Necessary or not.

Starscream flipped over again and scraped just barely to the larger jet's other side -- again, showing off. Due to the distraction of the move, he had briefly stopped firing, if only to continue to harass his fighting partner.
"Don't you ever get tired of playing the good guy role? Don't you want to give in and be a little bad?"
no subject
Not that cutting it close with such a move wasn't something he couldn't do, but Starscream was definitely more... suited, to it.
"I've done that, and you know how that worked out." Jetfire resisted a sigh and merely angled himself sideways alongside Starscream, close enough the vibrations from firing his cannon transferred between them.
"I would argue that it's better for all of us that my personality and view of science and how to pursue it isn't similar to Shockwave's." If they had been in root mode, Jetfire would have cast a sideways glance at his companion, but for now the dry tone of voice and underlying vibration would have to carry his meaning for him.
no subject
For as egotistical as Starscream was, he could not stand the idea of multiple versions of himself. One clone had been enough.
And being stuck in a world with ... alternates was just as bad.
He dipped downward and flew under Jetfire, starting up the fire from his cannons once again. To make up for the dreadful thoughts of being cloned, he mentally pictured every creature he was shooting as Shockwave.
That seemed to help.
no subject
And if you let science rule unbound by morals, ethics or personal desires... The static sigh over the comm was neatly hidden behind another volley of cannon-fire.
"Considering what actually - besides you - made me join the Decepticons originally, and what, conversely, made me leave... Also consider that Shockwave feels the need to trace all his actions to logic whereas I do not." Jetfire muttered as Starscream flipped to fly underneath him, which merely caused Jetfire to aim beyond of where Starscream was littering the ground with fire.
He didn't even need to think about the adjustments of having Starscream in that position - they were already being made from familiarity.
no subject
Either worked really.
"Is that a 'Yes, Starscream, I would have created a hundred of you because I cannot live without you in my life, but they would all be obviously inferior copies of the real thing who is just too amazing for words.'?"
Stop giving Starscream reasons to gloat about himself, Jetfire.
no subject
"At that point, I'd like to point out that I was living with you, and they would have been used for a lot less... personal interactive things than conversation or similar matters." He could have left it at that, but he was, if nothing else, always thourough.
"I'm not just talking about cloning, Starscream. But I suppose it doesn't matter. It didn't, and won't, happen," Jetfire said, the thrum of his voice and the inflection having to substitute for the helmshake he'd otherwise have used.
He briefly dropped back and then under the Seeker, the vibrations from his boosters working on low effect likely felt up through Starscream's undercarriage as Jetfire for once didn't aim beyond where Starscream was, but rather underneath them, briefly littering the ground with a hail of laser fire before he angled sideswards and flipped around to be above Starscream again.

Starscream allowed a huff to rumble over the comm frequency. They had gotten passed that, really they did. Starscream wasn't still bitter over the whole thing.
He totally had gotten over it.
The laser fire that ripped through several creatures and practically exploded them completely proved it.
Nope, no hard feelings.
But it was interesting how Starscream could go from not being serious to annoyed in a matter of seconds.
no subject
However, they were not going to have this discussion (again) merely because he dared to bring up a relevant factor in the conversation that was vaguely related to what Starscream had gotten annoyed over.
"Quite." Jetfire would have shaken his helm if he could have, and this time any vocal inflection just wasn't enough. Maybe it was just as well that something lumbered around a hill and roared at them, the smaller creatures they'd been shooting scattering out of its way to either skitter away or hide behind it.
Not that Jetfire needed convenient larger enemies to shut down or redirect a conversation there would be no gain in having, but it helped.
"Even if I would have wanted to stay, we've got other matters to attend to." And he had wanted to do that, but couldn't, in the end, justify it. Guilt flickered briefly and faintly along his cerebro-circuits anyway, but this, as well as how Irtonhide had reacted... well, he was used to it.

He just noted that it was a blue autobot with a pointy head.]
If you're that impressed, you can always take a picture. But I think my left is my best side.
no subject
Impressed is not the word I would use trust me YOU ARE another of the Starscream right? I wonder why there are so many of you here the lambda must like your kind.
no subject
You must be Blurr. It's almost comforting to learn that some things don't change across universes.
Though what are you -- the micro version of Blurr?
[Seriously. Why was he so little? He was smaller than Bumblebee! and that is weird.]
no subject
ExcuseYOUbutMicroversion? [He frowns, looking confused.]3
[He's taller than Bee! The one in his universe at least.]
no subject
[Nooo he doesn't really look like your Starscream, Blurr. But this one is more likely to taunt and harass you horribly before killing you or anything.
Which could either be worse or better depending on how you look at it.]
no subject
Difference!
[Taunting he can deal with, killing...tsh that would be a nuisance.]
no subject
[Starscream picks and chooses the definitions of words. But he'll just smirk and fold his arms across his chest. Too easy, Blurr. Too easy.]
