Meet and Greet and Everything Else

Where: Haven's Hub and Rec Center
When: The first week of November
What: This is the general meet and greet for Glyphless as Wing and Drift invited everyone to the bar for some R&R, shelter, fuel and medical attention.
Warnings: None at the moment!

Well it certainly is buzzing with activity, the new surge of glyphless wanderers has certainly made work, but it's not too gloom and doom. People are getting fed, and getting repairs if needed. And spirits seem decent if not a little tense for obvious reasons.

Mandibles work just fine, thank you very much.

Had things been a bit more, normal for him, he wouldn't have come to be honest. But things weren't so here he was.

"You've been avoiding our little meet up," not that he didn't except that. "Rather cowardly of you."

Those eyes dart up to Shockwave, dangerously narrowed.

"I have been busy."

And he feels he has! That and Ratchet's been advising him not to. But shhh he's his own man.

"If you are so eager to extinguish my spark, do it here."

See what happens.

"Of course you have."

Mirage will have to excuse him if he doesn't believe that at all. The Autobot was avoiding him and it was clear enough.

"I would Mirage, however unlike you I'm not an idiot."

And he's technically not supposed to kill anyone. Injure is fine, but hey, when he finally kills this Autobot it will be an acceptable exception to the rules.

Well, at least he doesn't care about your opinion, Shockwave.

"Scusa mi? Lacking proof of idiocy is so unlike you."

Those wings twitch like a somewhat threatened animal. You better not start anything, buddy.

Perhaps he should start caring.

"You have provided plenty of proof, just like many of your friends."

Enough proof for him, and often based around emotions. Quite the useful thing to know when it comes to an enemy really. Shame Mirage wasn't smarter, or his eventual death might actually be something to look forward to.

His hands clench the bar tightly, as if biding his anger up so he didn't lash out. Breaking into a fight here would be a bad, bad thing. So he'll just...sip his energon again.

"Always resorting to my comrades. Tell me when you acquire new jabs at my weak points."

[noparachutes]

"You give me no reason to acquire more, Mirage." His mandibles flick, always such a little fearful Autobot. Hiding behind a brave guise wasn't going to help with anything.

"Your friends are such a simple way to get under your plating. Unfortunate that there are not more of them here to try and save you."

He pauses to watch for any kind of movement the 'Bot might make.

"But if they fight anything like your little friends at NEST did, then it would barely be worth the fight."

Okay, even the Ferrari has his limits. He stands up, puny under the giant Decepticon as he looks up, wrist rolling to shoot a cable out should he need to. He didn't want to fight, but Shockwave was instigating it. It'd be his fault.

"NEST has foiled Megatron once before and you question their efficiency. You are more idiotic than I remember."

Oh Mirage, such a bold face. Shame it has no effect on him at all.

"Having destroyed one of their buildings filled with both your friends and their little human pets, I believe I have a right to make such claims."

Didn't you know?

Perhaps the other Autobots simply forgot to give him the memo.

His wings flutter, obviously having his metaphorical feathers ruffled. There were important bots in that building..and he'd rather not discuss that. But...

"It does not change the fact that we have stopped your plans twice altogether."

Three if he knew they won Chicago.

"You may have destroyed those close to me, but you did not win."

That had been the point, the important bots and humans in the building dead. The more that affected their friends and family the better. It would make their screams so much more when they finally died as well.

"And you have been there at the end? You know you've won? The last I recall was your friends dying horribly in Chicago. I believe the boy was about to die to my pet."

[perfavore]

"No, I have not been there at the end. But neither have you."

His voice is low, and almost razor sharp in tone.

"You know no more than I do. Do not...as the humans say, 'count chickens early.'

[noparachutes]

"Your side lost long ago, Mirage. You're fighting a loosing battle."

Were he the type to be intimidated, he would be. However, he isn't and so nothing changes in the Decepticon's stance, nor his monotone voice.

"Even if you and your friends somehow manage to save Earth, after all the humans that have died. Died because your side chose to wait and do nothing. Do you really think they will treat you as anything more than monsters?"

Mirage's wings flick. He's no longer scared of Shockwave, blue optics glaring right into the single optic of the larger bot.

"N.E.S.T. do not treat us that way.

And soon, neither will any human."

That is what they'd been told. And...deep down, he hoped for that.

"You are a fool to believe that."

He's seen how humans treat them. He's been one of the Cybertronians poorly treated by humans. As slaves they'd be useful, otherwise humans were no more than parasites.

[perfavore]

"I believe in Optimus Prime. He has made friends with the humans, and we work side-by-side.

I trust his judgement over yours."

[noparachutes]

"They will betray you eventually. When they decide their needs are greater than your little friendships."

The Decepticon's hand drops upon Mirage's head, giving the Autobot a rather rough pat on the head simply to annoy him.

"Perhaps then they will use you to further their technology."

[perfavore]

DON'T YOU PATRONIZE HIM. He swats that hand off as soon as he can, glaring up at him.

"The humans know their limitations."
