Meet and Greet and Everything Else

Who: Anyone near the Rec Center/Bar
Where: Haven's Hub and Rec Center
When: The first week of November
What: This is the general meet and greet for Glyphless as Wing and Drift invited everyone to the bar for some R&R, shelter, fuel and medical attention.
Warnings: None at the moment!

Tag in your own threads and tag anyone else you want to meet! Anyone is welcome, not just Glyphless.

Well it certainly is buzzing with activity, the new surge of glyphless wanderers has certainly made work, but it's not too gloom and doom. People are getting fed, and getting repairs if needed. And spirits seem decent if not a little tense for obvious reasons.

Drill Boy gasped and got up, reaching out for the other Brave Police as he spun around. He seemed to follow the ninja as he staggered backward and even tried to prevent the spilling of the drink.

"N-no, I haven't. What is it?" His curiosity about the drink got the better of him despite the consideration for Kagerou's actions.

The staggering, the following, whereas he might have been embarrassed before, now he just... laughed. A foreign sound, coming from him. It didn't feel quite right, but in his current state, he couldn't care less. So he laughed again. Louder.

"It's... a thing!" he said. "Wing and Kay. They said. I should drink it. And so I did."

His voice lowered then, as he bent to whisper conspiratorially to the other Brave.

"I drank... five."

Kagerou managed to keep his focus on the drink, and so he looked at the dirnk in question with interest.

"Is it good? Can I try a little of yours?" cause really he wouldn't mind having something good tasting. Maybe it would make this night feel a little less awful for him."

"It's. Good. It's very good. Yes."

There was a question. One he needed to answer. It took him a moment to process it all, despite it being a fairly simple question, with a fairly simple answer. He peered into the cube.

"Uhhh." He swirled the contents. "Yes. Here."

Drill Boy didn't bother taking the drink from Kagerou's hand, instead he held the larger hand and manipulated that to take a sip. He was careful not to drink too much, since it sounded like Kagerou really liked it, and he didn't want to make the other have to go get a new drink even sooner.

"It's kind of different... but not bad. Maybe I should try drinking one." He mused aloud and finally let go of Kagerou's hand.

"Yes, you should."

He says it brightly. His one visible optic brightens -- to an almost feverish light. Once his hand is released, he tilts his head back, and finishes off the cube in one go. By then, he's sort of wobbling in place, but manages to beam at Drill Boy, regardless.

"See? I had..."

And his smile faded, as he tried to think.

"Five...? No. I had. No, I had... six. Now."

"Okay."

Drill Boy watches in amazement as Kagerou finishes his sixth drink.

"WOW~!" he claps a little to show his level of impressed.

The clapping makes him grin. And then... start shaking where he stands, his shoulders hunching up. Surely, though, clapping wouldn't trigger any sort of negative reaction. Right? What on--

-- he throws back his head. And he laughs. It's entirely too loud. Borderline maniacal. But, then again, he's not exactly used to doing it, and the drinking doesn't help.

"Wow! Wow he says!" Another laugh. "I like... this! All of this! Another!"

Drill Boy was just starting to get worried that he, or the drink, had damaged Kagerou when the ninja burst out laughing. He jumped a bit and joined in by giggling a bit nervously. He wondered if this was just something the ninja needed to get out of his system.

"Let's go grab some more." He linked his arm in Kagerou's and started heading to the bar.

Normally, he'd have issues with personal space and being tugged around... but not now. Now he just lets himself be dragged along, still laughing. He honestly can't seem to stop.

"Yes! Let's go. Let's go right now!"

Except he would probably fall over if left to his own devices.

Drill Boy gets them both to the bar, with minimal incidents along the way. He managed to ask for two of what ever it was that Kagerou had let him try.

"Thanks for letting me try it Kagerou."

He ends up sort of... half-sprawled on the bar itself, staring into his drink through one side of the cube, as if it's going to reveal some great mystery to him. Either that, or he suddenly lacks the ability to stand upright without swaying in place like a flag on a pole.

"Yes."

Whether or not he's even really aware of the conversation at this point is anyone's guess.

Drill Boy starts drinking his own, not thinking too hard into why Kagerou was acting so weird. He had too much on his mind as it was and he was just hoping that he would end up happier for it.

This drink? This is probably the "one too many". He starts laughing uncontrollably about halfway through, and by that time, he's half-sprawled on the bar itself.

He feels great.

At least... for now.

Drill Boy has managed to consume all of his first and is working on his second, being infected by Kagerou's laughter the whole time.

He is a very light wight if the way he is already having trouble grabbing his drink when he sets it down is anything to go by. But at least he feels good right now.

Quite frankly, he's lost count of the number of cubes. Far, far too many. His head is spinning. Simple thoughts are completely out of his reach.

He's parked at the bar until someone moves him, groping blindly for another cube he certainly doesn't need.

And... chirping.

Quietly.

Drill Boy downs a couple more, not meeting Kagerou's number, but the smaller, quick burning BP is already very lightheaded and giggly.

He sees Kagerou groping the bar but doesn't connect that he is looking for his drink. Instead he reaches out and takes the ninja's hand, pulling and stumbling back away from the bar to get him to come with him.

"WE should Dance!"

Why is the bar moving.

No, really. Why is the bar moving? It should be holding still. Bars don't move. They're stationary. Things. But it's moving away from him. And it's taking his drink with it.

He reaches for it. Except someone is speaking to him.

Blearily, he turns, trying to focus on the orange blur flitting around him.

"Dance...?"

"Yeah, dance!"

He takes the ninja's hand in his other one, so that they are holding hands, facing each other, and starts to do some ridiculous dance.

"Come on Kagerou~!"

Kagerou really isn't sure why there are suddenly so many orange robots surrounding him. Or why they all have his hands. He's having a hard enough time staying upright, let alone tracking their movement.

So he ends up... just standing there.

Awkwardly.

While the smaller robot bounces all around him.

Kagerou you are a lame dancer, but Drill Boy is overcharged enough not to care and is continuing to dance around, guiding and leading him as best he can.

Eventually he lets the other BP's hands go in favor of dancing on his own, which moves him slowly away from Kagerou.

Well.

That's not helpful.

Now he's sort of lost in a bunch of metal bodies in an unfamiliar room. While too intoxicated to figure out which way is up. With any luck... he'll just run into a wall or something, repeatedly, until someone sits him down.
