[Closed] I'm sorry because I mean what I'm saying
WHO: Jetfire
angleofscience and Starscream
aerospacecommander
WHERE: Jetfire's room in Liege's temple
WHEN: Slightly forward dated to late tomorrow
WHAT: Trying to avoid doing something foolish during the Calling's effects, Jetfire locks both himself and Starscream in his room. Arguments due to the negative (emotional) effects of the Call ensues.
WARNINGS: None, I think.
He'd caught himself drifting away from haven thrice flying back to his room in Liege's temple and that was enough to convince him this was the right decision. There was a nagging, gawning frustration that Starscream probably wouldn't appreciate it, and Jetfire wasn't sure why he was so annoyed over merely the thought of that.
It might have had something to do with the constant becoking tug that sunk fiery little hooks into his mind and yanked. But he wouldn't let that happen, and luckily Starscream had met him by his room... Well, it rather looked like Starscream had arrived before him and was attempting to leave when he got there, but he just had to step in front of the Seeker and walk forwards to force Starscream back and inside again.
He had something that, when activated, would make sure the door stayed locked for at least two days; hopefully that would be enough.
Said "something" actually being a virus to temporarily corrupt the locking mechanism.
He still caught himself almost destroying the little computer it was contained in before he gritted his teeth, connected it to the lock, activated the transfer and turned away from the door as while the virus did his thing.
He didn't like giving in to the paranoid whisper about not letting Starscream at his back, but there were also reasons to listen to said whisper. Just couldn't let any of those feelings get out of hand.
"I hope you weren't planning anything for the coming two days." Jetfire said blandly and leaned back against the door, arms folded over his chestplates.

Not because he needed to be standing in front of the door to make sure Starscream didn't get out, but because he was firmly reminding himself that stomping up to the Seeker and looming above him wouldn't make anything better.
But he dearly wanted to.
"Or have you actually changed your mind about having wanted me to be someone and something I'm not since we last talked about me leaving the Decepticons?" Which was... both relatively long ago now, and not very long ago at all.
Jetfire was, strangely enough, growling, optics narrowed. It felt... strange, and very satisfying at the same time.

"But since you seem to expect me to do bad things," he almost smirked rather darkly when he said that and slid slightly closer. "Then this won't come as a surprise."
It was after that statement that he raised his arm and fired a null ray blast directly at Jetfire's face. He just wanted to shoot Jetfire's expression right off.
But, Jetfire did only get the normal null ray, though Starscream had for a moment considered something more powerful.
If it hit the large, white jet would wake up to the seeker doing his best (to no avail) to get the door open.
And he would mostly likely be swearing at the door rather angrily.
LOOK I HAVE AN ICON FOR THIS 8Db
"I don't expect you to, but I know you, so I have to accept that you will---" The angry, rumbling snarl broke off right before the null-ray shot hit, as Jetfire's optics widened and flared in surprise, bright and bleached out.
For all that he knew and accepted what Starscream was capable of and could and would do, even right now he didn't actually except Starscream to do something like this.
Something like shooting him in the face, again, with a null-ray.
Which of course meant Jetfire was hit full in the face and crashed to the floor.
Little over a kilk later Jetfire powered back up again, and while he had a clear, completely silent moment in his processor of stunned surprise/exasperated frustration, that noise quickly filtered in and turned what had been a very irritable reaction into something a bit more... angry.
"You--- Starscream!" Nearly surging up from his spot on the floor, and probably tripping Starscream on the way up since he was partly lying in front of the floor, Jetfire caught the Seeker by the arms and slammed him up againt the wall beside the door.
GASP
He should have known Jetfire would get so angry. It was just a matter of time before he turned on him.
Again.
Starscream grunted as he was slammed against the wall, and he struggled the entire time trying to get out of Jetfire's grip.
"LET ME GO YOU OVERGROWN CALCULATOR OR I WILL MAKE SURE THE NEXT SHOT IS FATAL."
He spoke out of anger, but he wasn't sure he meant that or not. On one hand, why would he? On another? Why wouldn't he?
If things were complicated before, they certainly were even worse now and he didn't know why.

Didn't let up, but stopped, because he knew his strenght and if he went further he'd start to inflict injuries. And no matter how angry he was, he didn't really want to---
"And that's supposed to convince me to let you go?! By that route, it's far safer for me to keep you where you are! Where you belong obviously, I don't know why I---!" He couldn't finish. Jetfire's optics flared, and even in this state, the words 'why I trusted you' wouldn't pass his lips.
Because he knew why, even angry he knew why. Even if Starscream sometimes (often) didn't deserve it.
"Perhaps you should tell me, Starscream, if you would do it? For some reason I keep giving you things you might not deserve SO WHY SHOULD I LET YOU GO?" Slamming Starscream back against the wall again, far gentler than it could have been, sure, but that he did it at all... Jetfire scowled, his engine snarling uselessly.
Something was wrong, he should have better control than this. He did have better control than this, but anger, suspicion and hurt was making it hard to reason.

"I don't deserve? You're the traitor! You turned your back on everything. You betrayed me! You should feel lucky that I haven't eliminated you when I had the chance!"
He really wished he could use his strength to get out of the larger jet's grasp, but there was no point.
That didn't mean he wouldn't keep on trying. His anger wasn't letting him get away with anything less.
"Now, I almost regret it. SINCE YOU KEEP TREATING ME LIKE SOME BLASTED TOY YOU CAN CONTROL. GUESS I SHOULD HAVE KNOWN BETTER THAN TO THAW YOU OUT NEXT TIME YOU CRASH IN THE ICE!"

The wince was more like the jerk when Starscream had shot him with the null-ray, and briefly Jetfire's optics widened and flared white as his grip loosened. For a brief moment, Starscream almost fell down and could have broken free, and then the grip tightened again, as Jetfire dragged Starscream up to be face to face with him.
"Yes, I did! I'VE ALREADY TOLD YOU WHY. It was leave or change, and the change required wasn't something I could do. NOT EVEN FOR YOU, STARSCREAM." He couldn't quite keep the anger pure, and while Jetfire sure was bellowing, there was an underlying thread of static.
Static, and while his optics were narrowed, they were nearly as white as the rest of his plating, and it certainly wasn't from rage.
"You're in here because I CARE, not because I want to control you but all you seem to want me to do is do what you say without considering what I CAN OR WANT TO DO." By now, their nasal ridges were touching, but Jetfire wasn't really registering how much he was pushing in.

... Though there were also some lingering thoughts that drifted on the edge of paranoia. What if this had been a plan all along? Jetfire already turned traitor once.
He tried to ignore the mental nagging, but it was certainly hard, especially when Jetfire yelled back at him.
Starscream didn't really comment much on it, but he did start struggling again.
"THEN LET ME GO!"
He just wanted to explode and go somewhere else. Anywhere. Just get away. He felt like he was being forced into a corner and he did not like the results.
"You can't hold me like this forever, anyway. So, let. Me. Down. Now." He didn't care if his statement sounded like a demand, it sort of was one.
On another note, he was obviously determined not to talk about the subject anymore.

He couldn't just decide he didn't want to, after bringing it up---!
"... You're right. I can't." It was said tightly, words snapped out with controlled frustration as, despite the anger and hurt, somehow Jetfire got control of some part that was clawing up and recognised that it was a good thing if they could stop now.
They'd gain nothing from this, with all this emotion everywhere. Emotion that he knew, while certainly at least partly true, wasn't necessarily natural. Something was wrong.
Leaning in, Jetfire gritted his teeth and rested the front of his helm against Starscream's, and took a moment to convince himself that he could let Starscream go. He trusted him, even if he also knew it wasn't a completely good idea to do so. In that, he could also pick out the wholly unnatural paranoia that tried to tug on him and convince him he couldn't let Starscream go.
Giving something between a grown and a frustrated huff, optics narrow and still too bright, Jetfire took a step back, put Starscream down on the ground and pushed him away. The second he did that, all fire was - temporarily or not - gone, and he just slumped down to sit on the floor, optics off.
Completely ignoring the real-but-not-true paranoia whispering about what a fool he was, and this would cost him dearly.

But Starscream reeled in his all the anger and rage and just retreated to the other side of the room. It was there that he sat on the berth and glared at the wall like it had offended him in a very bad way.
He would probably remain in that spot for the rest of the time, sulking over everything that happened and his bruised ego.
